Mj will always be the goat. Only 3 players in history have ever won a scoring title and been 1st team all defense in the same year. Jerry west did it once. Kobe did it twice. MJ did it NINE TIMES!! Along with an undefeated finals record with 6 rings in 8 years with a retirement in between his two 3peats. And a defensive player of the year award. No other player comes close.
@@antonio_brewer he bodied everyone. You also have to consider the fact that he caught those bodies on some of the best defenses big men to ever play the game. And he did it in an eye where the game was more physical and there was no defensive 3 second rule. That’s why what he did was so incredible because guards didn’t attack the rim like that before MJ because every team in the league had a 7 footer camping in the paint waiting to put them on their back.
@@nashmcintosh2578 yeah the one on ewings back was wild, like a shooting guard having that many posters on REAL big men is insane to me I don’t think anyone will ever come close to him as a 2 guard
@@antonio_brewer never. Even if someone comes along with more ability than MJ, they will never get the chance to prove it because of the rule changes. Not like anyone will anyway lol.
Forget all the real obvious things that puts MJ above LeBron and others (to which no one is really able to reasonably dispute) but there are other things that no one ever brings up to further separate Jordan's greatness far away from the pack: - MJ NEVER switched teams in hopes to catapult himself and gain an advantage to win a Championship. - MJ NEVER lobbied to upper Mgt, the media or even let alone talk to other players to join the Bulls in hopes to catapult himself and gain an advantage to win a Championship either. - MJ was clearly the game's greatest hardwood assassin and the most clutch player to ever lace them up in NBA history. - MJ struck far more fear into the hearts of his opponents than anyone else. - MJ NEVER took a game off let alone a PLAY off on either side of the court. - Other than Pippen, MJ 3-peated twice with two entirely different player rosters for each run. - Here's a doozy for you. In November of 1990, the Bulls lost their very first 3 games of the season. Since then, Michael Jordan never lost 3 games in a row again until June 1998. Only TWO 3-game losing streaks in a span of 626 games reg & post season. That is literally one of the most astronomically impossible feats ever accomplished in basketball. - Imagine this: where does one think MJ would be had he played 20 HEALTHY years compiling longevity stats? Mmhmm. Exactly! - First player (of 3 now: Olajuwan/Pippen are the other two) in NBA history to ever record 200 steals/100 blocks in a single season, and MJ did it... but guess what? MJ did it TWICE. No one else has. Truly an insane feat. Only 6 centers in the league had more blocks than the shooting guard #23 had during his DPOY season. - Folks seem to think MJ was not a play maker, whereas King James is. Not so fast. In 1989 to close out the season, Micheal Jordan played the last 24 games of the season as a Point Guard. In that span of time he averaged 30.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 10.7 assists, and 2.5 steals per game and all while shooting .498 from the floor. He also had an 11-game stretch in which he recorded 10 Triple Doubles. That's Wilt Chamberlain territory who back then owned the record stretch of 10 consecutive games with a Triple Double. (Russel Westbrook currently has it with 11 now). It would seem pretty obvious the numbers Michael Jordan could have put up if he continued playing a point guard position too. - To make it even more clear, MJ dominated the NBA game as a.... get this... a guard. Let that sink in.... A GUARD!! There are so many other accolades and accomplishments to choose from, but I'm sure everyone gets the gist. Michael Jordan could literally do anything he wanted, anytime he wanted and against anyone he wanted and BETTER than anyone too. THAT is just a bad man. Look, from a practical standpoint, it is fair to say that those of us who have actually watched all of these gifted players in the totalities of their respective careers as well as many other great past players, can bolster a more intellectually honest comparison and opinion. Rather than those who grew up only exclusively watching King James for example. I happen to be one of those that has watched them all. Without a doubt, like the majority of others who have watched them all, or played against them, the masses agree. The legendary galactic freak show His Airness is hands down, categorically the GOAT... period. I can also say with honesty that I feel King James perhaps has had the greatest CAREER of any basketball player in history... but he is not the GREATEST basketball player to ever lace them up. MJ is the GOAT hands down. There is no close 2nd either.
I've been watching the NBA for 50+ years, and he is by a wide margin the greatest I've ever seen, and it's not close. I feel bad for those who didn't see the Goats career.
@antonio_brewer I was a Laker fan from 1975. Kareem was my first favorite, then Magic came along, and he became my all-time favorite, but just because they were my favorites, I still knew Mike was the man. A nightly highlight reel with him. Thanks for reacting to this video.
One thing is to get to the top, another is staying there year after year after year... then again another year after year after year. MJ defines winning.
I “MIGHT” subscribe, just like you said MJ “MIGHT” be the GOAT. Your eyes don’t lie, and he did things like this every single time he stepped on the court. Everyone knows about his offense, but he was equally effective on the defensive end. You’re right that nobody shot many 3‘s at that time, but in the finals against Portland, he made six 3‘s in the first half and had 35 points in that first half. So he could do whatever he wanted to do.
Great reaction youngster. I commend you for not being bias. Imagine watching this in person? I detested the guy but watched him in person a few times. And what my 20/20 vision witnessed is like nothing it had seen before or after him. Magic is my favorite player all-time and it's not even close but without hesitation I proclaim MJ to be the GOAT, and in my opinion the gap is as wide as Michael Strahan's.
@@antonio_brewer Heads that didn't witness MJ in person will never know just how quick he was off dribble or jab step. And also how quickly he got off the ground, off one or two feet. Just like Tyson is the closest thing I saw to a pitbull in the squared-circle, MJ was the closest thing I saw to a jaguar on the court. That's why he was dubbed black cat. #AerialAnarchy
@@antonio_brewer Been watching hoops since way back in the day (1980) and I haven't seen a baller as complete as MJ. He possessed the athleticism that was raw as clapped cheeks without jim hats. The supreme fundamentals taught to him by a highly-esteemed Univ. dean. And maniacal mental of killers in serial. To foes he was ruthless as minimum-wage Mexican cartel sicarios. He instilled fear in formidable peers. Cause he played with malice of Auburn Hills Palace after Artest's cheap shot on Wallace.
@@ScottMacdonaldfishing yeah it was like every other clip was a poster I didnt even notice that but yeah the opponents were trying to play real defense on him so respect to Michael
It was a privilege to watch him perform. He is and always will be the goat. There simply was and never will be anyone like him. He would average 50 today. This was every night when he played. It was an event.
@antonio_brewer a big key point is, almost anyone who watches MJs mixtape just wants to go outside immediately and play, and "be like mike". He influenced almost all the recent and current players (Kobe, Dwade, AI, even Lebron). Lebron is good but watching MJ just makes you excited to go play and see if you can do any of it 😆
you have to watch when the players talk about MJ and the things they say are amazing. I watched him on TV Andy mouth dropped so many times how did he do that?
Another big difference between MJ and Fraud is the verbal communication skills. MJ came across as educated and polished, which resulted in interviews that were/are interesting while the other sounds inarticulate and full of the same cliches. I guess not going to college makes a huge difference
It is not even close MJ is the GOAT. And if for some reason your still on the fence look for this vid: 16 Straight Mins Of Michael Jordan Facts That Will Convince You He's The Undisputed
Just on turnovers....LeBum is the turnover king, and Jordan is the King of Protection. Jordan has the best Usage Rate/Turnover ratio in NBA history. Every steal made offsets every turnover. So Jordan had only 410 true turnovers in his career. LeBum has 2,936 and counting. Jordan = 0.38 true turnovers LeBum = 1.97 true turnovers. Or, LeBum loses possessions 5.2 times more often than Jordan, or 520% more turnover prone.
Ive watched basketball since the 60s, seen plenty of great players from then until now. Nobody was as skilled and determined as Jordan. He's at the top of the mountain.
You said he might be the goat? He has the greatest resume in NBA History played both ends of the ball accomplished more in less time. Yo nobody has as many accolades as him he has more than LeBron an Kobe combined, you can't have 6 finals losses over 6 finals wins Bro that's not logical. Jordan never came up small on the biggest stage of the sport never LeBron has way too many times. Then I mean try an find a greater package of highlights you won't Brother. There's Michael Jordan then everyone else. Not Michael Jordan or LeBron James that has never been real.
@antonio_brewer even 10 rings forming superteams and having the refs and media on his side doesn't make him better at the game of basketball. Context is what matters not smoke and mirrors. Horry and Russell would be goats if rings were the criteria.
DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY BELEIVE THAT ANY OF THESE POEPLE REACTING TO THIS "FOR THE FIRST TIME" ? i BET HE NEVER SAW ANY OF THIS AND HIS REACTION TOTALLY PURE AND HONEST LOL
I am subbing in hopes that you will do your due diligence and dive DEEP into the G.O.A.T's vault of Black Excellence and learn your sports history!!! Lebron will never touch him or his accomplishments!!!
Here is a question kind of dumb one but are 73-9 warriors better than 72-10 bulls. I don’t think so because bulls won the ring I know Lebron beat warriors. But if it was the Mj bulls they never would’ve allowed the comeback
