I use it as background music when I'm painting miniatures for wargaming. Typically I have several inspiration songs for certain armies :)

Our DM used this in a recent D&D session when my tempest cleric stumbled across a bunch of slavers, channeled the power of his god, and took control of a thunderstorm to start "strategically deleting" things like the administrative buildings and guard barracks.

The band Amorphis made a whole album based on Ilmarinen. Hedninggarna did a song about Ukko called Ukkonen, and Im pretty sure Nightwish made a song about Tapio.
