Regarding that Hoosegow @ 30:55 , The Black Armory weapons had a chance to roll that specific shader and people hunted that shader like crazy back in the day. That's likely the only reason that weapon was kept aside from the goofy roll.

you know, from the lore perspective, sunset weapons being brought back is kinda logical. Cuz in the trailer Cayde said that everything inside the Traveler is a memory. So maybe all the sunset weapon will be returned to world by the traveler? Overall, nice rolls champs

Dude I'm low key mad about this, I deleted so many great rolls of so many guns. My Galliard, my Claws of the Wolf... oh my god my Breachlights! I had every roll! Honestly, the feelings I had when sunsetting came in, I'm kinda having the same feelings now that it's gone. I feel like I lost those guns and that time, twice.

I have DIM open and I'm looking at all the rolls you're mentioning here. I have almost every single gun and roll in this video. I've been 599/600 most of the time but my patience and hoarding finally paid off. It's been very hard and my postmaster and other Guardians act as storage units until I need to use them for activities, but I'm glad I didn't delete all my stuff because some streamer told me to. I can't imagine spending thousands of hours in this game, obtaining all this cool stuff over the years and just deleting it. You'd have nothing to show for all of your time spent.

Not me keeping my *Kindled Orchid, Parcel of Stardust, Stryker's Sure-Hand,* and a few other ones in my vault lmao. And also my headseeker roll *Bygones*

My keeper is The Old Fashioned, with Drop Mag, Kill Clip and Demolitionist. It was my workhorse through Shadowkeep, and it's back baby.

I'm a hoarder and kept every god roll from Minagerie, Black Armory, Reckoning all the curated raid weapons, all the curated Nightfall weapons. I don't think I'm going to play D2 that much anymore, but I'm happy I can come back.

Just make all the sunset weapons obtainable through collections with random rolls for people who have previously owned them. Don’t have updated rolls or origin perks, leave the guns just as they were so you can rng your way to your old god rolls. Hell, go ahead and add a special currency for it, let’s call it “motes of light” as a throw back to when you could reroll D1 weapons to get your perfect roll.

I think this was a good decision. We’ve powercrept pretty much all of our old gear and what we haven’t gone past got nerfed. The only thing leaving all these guns sunset will do is raise the barrier to entry for returning players to see how destiny all plays out. But there isn’t much here that really has me saying “oh no that is something I should’ve kept because nothing else is as good as it”

Haven’t really played since I had kids. About 8 years now. Felt so behind the curve jumping back in. Still do, but my vault is stacked with nothing but these weapons. 8 Orewing’s Maul’s for some reason. Feels good man.

I have an original 1.0 Bygones with the original godroll of Outlaw kill clip with all range. Hilariously, outlaw is in the 4th column. lol I loooooved this weapon to death and was never gonna delete it. Its not gonna be nearly as good as it once was but its awesome knowing that its back on the menu.

the only sunset i kept was a Trust hand cannon with explosive, genesis, light mag, smallbore and a range master solely because i love using it in PVP

I didn’t keep too much old stuff, just the most sentimental things. I kept my Lone Survivor pve roll and I’m so stoked I kept it this long! It’s not anything crazy, but I just always loved it.

I love how the majority of rolls showed have less than 500 kills, like brother you have been keeping that roll for 3 years

I kept, never expecting them to get unsunset, but I kept them anyway because they were special to me and I always wanted to spot them in my vault and remember the good times

Patron was the first weapon that came to my mind. Felt really good, had a great sound. That RH/EP roll was legit, I used that constantly.

Not me, I kept everything that was great for the “just in case” scenario we were told wasn’t coming. Slow and steady wins the race ladies and gents. Bungie always brings thing back so I knew it was only a matter of time. Still have all my old raid, ritual, and seasonal weapons. All the OG’s are still in my vault waiting for their time to shine again.

Breach light is such a gut punch for me. I spent hours getting a demo + rampage roll, used it for 5000k kills then it got sunset. I deleted it last year because I was almost out of vault space, but my god, I would kill to have it back. I cannot explain how much I want a demo kinetic sidearm. Hopefully they bring it back and give it kinetic tremors or something, I could totally see them bringing it back in the first episode because it seems like it’s Vex themed.

I kept all my Black Armory weopons. Kindled with rampage, kill clip. Ringing Nail- dragon fly/rampage. Tatara's Gaze - curated roll. Spitefal Fang- Curated. And also, my mfing GALLIARD-42 XN7568 with dynamic sway / kill clip

I can't wait to be able to use the O.G. breakneck with onslaught and rampage again! It completely negates the current version!

On blast furnace they moved zen to the last column so you can't get zen kill clip or zen headseeker anymore

This is the last time I’m going to say this so please everyone listen. In the current sandbox a kill clip tatara gaze can no longer 1 body. Secondly, in the current sandbox, kindled Orchid cannot 2 tap with 1 stack of rampage and kc. You would need TWO stacks for rampage and KC procced, whereas if you just used magnificent howl on the brave lunas or not forgotten you could 2 tap just by getting 2 kills period, you don’t even have to worry about a timer. None of these sunset guns are good anymore. Adept found verdict is better in every way to mind benders, not to mention QD doesn’t improve handling anymore just the actual draw speed, so adsing and anything else handling related will feel awful. Marty’s retribution never had a good roll. Liminal vigil is better in every way than breechlight. Rufus is better than steelfeather. Duke was only good cause of kill clip, and again, in the current meta kill clip is not enough to two tap even with a 120 so Duke won’t be good either. Not to mention PI is practically required on 120s now so igneous is the only real option. Fracethyst is better than dust rock, and as for revoker, not forgotten, randys throwing knife etc, you can just pull those all from collections if you EVER owned them, OR, buy them from the legacy kiosk in the tower of you NEVER had them. Everyone, calm down, all sunset guns are worse than current guns.

Patron of Lost Causes is one of the only scouts that feels as good as I remember D1 scouts feeling, and it's really dependent on explosive payload. So glad I can use it again

Looking through all these old guns takes me back, and I had good rolls of most of them, but I don't regret sharding them. Because 99% of them I would never equip again even if I still had them.

Man idc about the old meta weapons coming back, my good old trust is back. Outlaw rampage, absolute beauty.

I just deleted my dukes and better devils last week before the announcement, its always when i make a decision about something and bungie does something to make me regret it, i just hope both those handcanons come back because I loved their models, they felt smooth

9:00 I just kinda hope we get into the light and 30th anniversary style stuff before expansion more. I understand quantity wise would be unsustainable, but mainly that it brings old stuff back with a few quests tied to fan favorite things.

I just got back into Destiny 2 when PlayStation plus gave out Witchqueen and put a bunch of the dlc on sale, I went in and deleted everything that couldn't go over 1600 light.. I didn't have any god rolls but I had some good ones. I am thankful I kept my explosive payload Better Devils and my timed payload True Prophecy, they were my two favorite hand cannons.

Im glad Misfit made it into the video. It was my FAVOURITE weapon until sunset and I kept it for sentimental reasons. Fooking glad I did! That thing is jumping into my loadout again !

I always kept all my curated rolls, raid weapons, most used weapons, anything with a super interesting or unique or effective perk-roll. I still deleted the vast majority of my sunset gear. But I kept what was important

What sucks, is that i came back to this game after years of not playing i was just told to delete everything because it was sunset. I just listened & deleted everything. Bungie should just bring every god roll back for each weapon that was hit with a sunset

Bungie, that was a very weird way to nerf our pinnacle weapons.

This made me super nostalgic and really missed a lot of quests we would get for pinnacle weapons. Honestly, I wish Bungie would add those back in as well. Even though they were static rolls, it was still fun to chase after those weapons. Who remembers the Fellwinter’s Lie quest? That was so awesome! The lore behind that was insane!!

Dude, they bring back the old missions and make it where you can experience the past seasons for a FULL LENGTH story experience. I'd literally tell people they are dumb for not returning. This news is good, but I'd like to farm for rolls since my vault said goodbye sunset a long time ago. I'm extremely happy for folks however, this a big plus on Bungie's part.

Not a God Roll, but I fell in love with Garden Progeny 1 scout rifle from Curse of Osiris. I have 30000 kills with it and I stuck it in my vault once it got sunset. Time to take this baby out and go for 50k kills. I'm a vault hoarder. Looking forward to dusting off Waking Vigil, Trophy Hunter, Service Recolver, Ringing Nail, Patron of Lost Causes, etc. Let's go!

I am so happy I kept my ricochet round, tap the trigger, zen moment ringing nail for all these years along with all my black armoury heavy weapons. Stryker's sure-hand with surrounded was my favourite heavy back then.

As a PvE player the only thing I'm sad about is Breachlight and Perfect Paradox, everything else I feel has got much better options nowadays. Especially after the Last Wish roll refresh, those filled a lot of the remaining holes for me (and of course now the BRAVE arsenal). Except those two, I much prefer the vault space outside of sentimental value.

I'm surprised that I didn't anyone have Uriels gift but those guns that everyone has props to them.

You know what they can do to make the game even better is allow the sunset weapons to drop in in game activites so that the people who deleted them can get them back

Miss my bygones with opening shot and headseeker. I also miss when the rapid fire hgls were aggressive frame and had the same damage as adaptive gls but fired faster

Got a Tatara Gaze with Snapshot & Opening Shot with Drop Mag/Extended Mag. I still use this thing in PvP every so often.

And then there’s me coming back to destiny 2 and deciding after 5 years to clean my vault and delete almost all legacy weapons

Couldn’t tell you a single thing I deleted. Not worried about it either. I think Cammy is right and most of the sunset weapons have been power crept. Only things I still have are some pinnacle weapons, and those were trophy keeps. I am excited to be able to use 21% Delirium again, however.

"Give us back Revoker with random rolls. It'll be the most used weapon in the game." We got Luna Regolith from strikes last season and no one uses it. I will acknowledge the different sights and the fact the Revoker is a 35 zoom over Luna's 43 but it's still the same and helps with the aim assist fall off.

True pain is me deleting my God Roll Hammerheads from “Season of the Forge” to make room for new stuff that can’t be crafted and now learning of the Sunsetting of Sunsetting. Still have my ringing nails tho. 😢

Ever since the infinite primary ammo change Drop Mag became an S-tier perk for me, and I would keep ANY gun that has it

Out of all the guns I’ve dismantled over the years the one that hurts the most was my Atalanta-D from black armory. I really liked that gun due to being an smg and having a built in suppressor. It wasn’t a great gun but for aesthetics it was beautiful and I miss it

im happy for all who kept an unique weapon, but aside of kindled and maybe martyrs i dont see a single weapon that has not been replaced or powercrept.

I kept a few, but my notable good ones are a ringing nail with dragonfly and rampage, a plurperfect with zen and kill clip, and a OG curated outlast (zen and kill clip too)

My lone sunset keep is the Rampage+Kill Clip Kindled Orchid. Idk how it will perform nowadays, but I’m glad I kept it

As someone who missed a few of the early seasons, I'm stoked about the possibility of getting some of those weapons for the first time.

If you want some throwbacks, I still have my old line up of trials of the Nine guns. Cannot wait to have purpose back.

Ringing Nail with Firefly/Rampage was amazing in PVE when it dropped. Before they nerfed Firefly, if you procced it against ads, it would instantly go to 3X Rampage with the extra damage from Firefly. If you could hit the occasional headshot, you had 3X Rampage up constantly. Before the Black Armory stuff was mothballed, the Firefly nerf already made it meh.

When I read that part of the TWID I wept real tears that I haven't shed in a long time but, hopefully, when Bungie brings back sunset weapons they will be much better than their previous iteration.

Galliard was the most rng drop for forges, especially when the curtains came up on how op it was

The only sunset weapon a kept is my old God Roll Dust Rock Blues, Full Choke, Accurized, Sldeshot, Snapshot, Range MW and thank the lords I couldn’t let go of it over some of my other stuff!

Hoarder gang stand up! Lol. I've been living on max vault space for years to keep some of this stuff. Claws of the Wolf is one of my all time favorites. My rolls aren't even that great but I love the way that weapon looks and feels.

I just still can’t shake the thought that, even if they bring the dawn weapons back, it won’t be all of them. I want every single one of them back and I just don’t see it happening.

They are old guns outperformed by new stronger perks and which you can craft at your own desire, it’s no point to own a sunset weapons except for the nostalgia
