Personally, I would pick glitched crown for my death certificate since it gives you 5 options on each item which always makes the run won. Maybe spin down dice too since it turns toothpicks into sacred heart and blood bag to brimstone, these two items aren't very rare and you'll probably see both of them in a normal run

I'm pretty sure the claw machines have 25% chance for paying out. So sinvicta's chance of failing 8 times in a row is about 0.9%. Now that's some sinvicta luck right there.

Glitch Crown, Sacred Orb, or C-Section are probably the best options for an early Death Certificate. All instant wins IMO. Glitch Crown is 5 options for a high chance of one of them being good its just "harder" to use than Sacred Orb. Sacred Orb is self explanatory. C-Section can melt bosses with base damage, has positive synergies with almost every item in the game, and has built in homing spectral sudo-piercing like homing Trisagion without the damage penalty.

Hey Sin, my personal recommendation for an early Death Certificate would be Sacred Orb because you'll gain profit from it for the entire run and it tends to rarely let you down in my opinion. :) Love your vids, your Metal: Hellsinger video made me purchase it and so far it's cast every game I currently play of their thrones except for WoW and Isaac so yeah, I appreciate you and your uploads a lot; they're part of my daily routine at this point!

i actually dont think cricket’s head wouldve been that huge in terms of damage, because the multiplier doesn’t stack with the multiplier given from magic mush. still sucks that you basically got robbed though lol

Just as a note, bombs have been buffed a huge amount against bosses with armor like Hush. They now ignore all boss armor and deal their full 100 damage. Most bomb effects also have piercing properties now too so poison and burning for example don’t get reduced to 1 damage per tick thanks to armor. Bomb bag because of that is actually a really good item for closing the gap from the drop in damage you get from boss armor.

One of my top contenders for death certificate at the start of the run is Polyphemus for the same reasons you took sacred heart. Massive damage and a multiplier that future-proofs your run. Edit: Holy crap he got it.

Death certificate depends on the floor. Playing this seed later, I’ll either settle with glitched crown, sacred orb, maybe even sacred heart like you chose. Like you said, the item you choose likely determines the rest of the run and the build you obtain. Rock bottom I might consider but that can be boring if it doesn’t offer a great combo. There’s a lot to take in, so many choices. When I did a daily run (September 15) I got death certificate. Since I was close to the end I was gonna choose sacred heart but touched Trinity shield due to my size but it definitely does make you think.

For this start, I would of personally went for pyro because of the floor 2 curse of the tower and go for a bomb / red heart build. But that's just me🤷

Probably getting glitched crown is the best choice tbh. You're most likely always getting a good stat up from boss items, smth useful from treasure rooms, plus very high chance of getting a top tier angel item.

It is a bit of a crutch item, but it does the job fairly well, especially considering how unskilled I usually am. In this position, though, I would maybe have taken Revelation. Getting access to flight early on, plus extra Soul Hearts and the Holy Brimstone did sound just great as well, especially considering Eden did start with Magic Mushroom. And finally, shout-out to the Telescope Lens for coming at the absolute worst time, as it always do. Still waiting on that redemption arc =P

Uranus for those Freezing Tears is so nice being about to nope the on-death effects of enemies. Mercury for speed running rooms also has some love in my book Terra for bomb saves since it can break doors and walls and isn't a bad upgrade for tears either just less useful IMHO from the pair above. And considering how little I normally go for Planet items it is a nice get for variety.

imo death certificate is the most fun when it's used to compliment a build the run shapes into later on, like getting pyro with Dr fetus or Jacobs ladder or tech 0 with monstros lung. Either that or getting something like glitched crown or sacred orb

Personally, if I was to pick a Death Certificate item, I'd heavily lean towards the Dogma Item. As the item given to you upon beating Dogma, it has a lot of good effects. Flight that cannot be removed because it's a story item (you can fly during The Chase), one-time use Holy Mantle (like a holy card), prevents your speed going below 1.1, +2 damage, if you have less than 6 full hearts, it heals all red hearts you have up to 6, and grants soul hearts if your total HP is still less than 6 (excluding the Lost(s), Keeper(s), forgotten, and bethany who gains charges ) Flight, shield, speed, damage, healing/soul hearts is a pretty excellent deal for any item, especially if it's a normally unobtainable one without fighting a specific boss. in my eyes, it's worth taking for the prestige alone, let alone the effects.

With that start it was a no brainer, I would also pick sacred heart because it gives homing shot and so much damage, and also because you got tears up from the boss item. Not taking guppy with diplopia was a really bad choice, when you got the damage upgrade for your flies, it was also a no brainer to take guppy.

Yo Sinvicta I’ve had the same problem with mods not loading properly and for me it even caused Isaac to not even open. Here’s how I fixed it: Uninstall and reinstall Isaac and make sure no mods are installed yet, then go to all 3 save files and open a new run on all of them (you can leave the moment the run starts) and then close Isaac and redownload all your mods. Hope this helps! Cheers! Edit: Make sure to uninstall all mods FIRST before uninstalling Isaac, im not sure why but it causes the files to not load properly.

Crickets head would have only given a small damage up maybe +2 or +3 with the multipliers. You lost the same amount of damage trying to get the machine to pay out lol

I think Glitched Crown is one of the best Death Certificate picks. It just has the biggest potential to make the run interesting

Crickets head wouldn't have done much at all. It's multiplier doesn't stack with MM.

Another item I could have seen you go for is tech .5. You walked by it and it seems like a great carry support item, giving you a constant stream of multiplied magic mushroom damage.

with an early death certificate im pretty sure id always go eucharist, because the chance of up to 7 angel deals out-valueing every other item in the game is pretty high.

I think the go-to with death certificate, for maximum fun, would be to get a little ways into the run to see if you get anything that would allow for a broken synergy. Getting late into the run with no signs of something like that? rip death cert. and get sacred heart

At the start? D6, D-Infinity, spindown, glitched crown… really whatever I’m feeling but starting off with a reroll is nice

My recommendation for that first floor is grabbing that first item and then getting rock bottom since it spawns pills

My favourite death certificate pick is usually rock bottom. I think it almost always gives you some real nice zane

Having death certificate makes you really think, if you have everything, what is there to really have from it. I realize its not the best phrasing but if you know what I mean then good.

If you want to have fun with different offensive playstyles, maw, sword, and revelation are serious considerations. For setting up the rest of the run, glitched crown, sacred orb, binge, or rock bottom seem to be the best picks. For big picture stuff, genesis and r key are good considerations. And of course you have pure stat ups like sacred heart, polyphemus, godhead, crown of light.

Day 71: Still no "U" (uniform) in the seed ! The math on this is pretty ridiculous so here's a breakdown. 8 character seed * 36 character choices (A-Z, 0-9) * 71 days. This is a total of 20,448 character possibilities, which is about a 0.004% chance of not having any character come up throughout all those chances

I mean.. there is no Rock Bottom run that you cant twist into something usable. I get the Sacred Heart because its more immediate damage but as far as Im concerned, Rock Bottom is just really hard to pass up.

I find rock bottom extremely boring unless you find one of the super synergies(soy milk, kidney stone). I'd much rather see you keep death certificate until you find an item that could be paired with a specific item to make a great synergy (eg: you get brimstone, so you go and grab spoon bender). But I think the best choice is glichted crown, cause it makes EVERY PEDESTAL INTERESTING

14. Watched yesterday, but almost forgot to comment. This was a really fun run to watch and I personally would have chosen Sacred Heart myself. Crazy how many damage upgrades and multipliers you had, if only you had Crickets head along with it!

My go-to death certificate item is glitch crown, I like all the options it gives you but there's still some randomness to it

I finally unlocked glitched crown and ever since I’ve had great luck. Somehow I manage to get the item I wanted 9 out of 10 times without using the pause trick. And I sometimes struggle with binge eater 😅

I would take eucharist on the first floor I think, get like 6 angel items over the course of the run any of which could be something like revelation or sacred heart or the stairway even for double angel items seems really powerful

Sin you had infinite diplopia and passed on it, when diplopia was in the shop if you used it you could've farmed pretty much infinite consumables and potentially shop items Granted the run was already won by this point so I also get the logic of just not farming

I would choose Haemolacria or Spindown. because Haemolacria has tons of game breaking potential and synergies. Also spindown dice its the best item in the game IMO. Or if I feel like some chaos TMTrainer is very fun

I really like when your talking about football. The game was really exciting but at the point where mike evans shoved lattimore and then BOTH (i dont get how the buccs got out of that situation without a real disadvantage) got ejected it went downhill. The real neckbreaker for the saints was the ruling of the catch with the fumble after the review eventho it wasnt really caught (or maybe im just dumb and it really was a catch; the german commentators were also confused after the review)
