Some excellent points here especially the distinction between the secretive relation of the Jewish people to the goddess as wisdom who perhaps is wiped out of the tradition as a protection of her likened to the destruction of God's holy name so as to prevent it falling into blasphemous abuse as with what happens with the reformation movement of Luther/Calvinist and the invention of the printing press putting a bible into the hands of the layman as a tool for primarily teaching literacy and not theological instruction, that was it's secondary use. Historically literacy evolves together with mythos and theology to produce the biblical canon but had never been used before it would seem beyond the priestly castes to educate the masses and insofar as it is used as a religious tool, it does so more in the tradition of the Greek dogmatists than any other school of religious discourse.👸🙋🍀😉

I'm glad he identified the mono-myth. All of religion is even based on that. We can see what they really are framed upon. But he didn't seem to ever get beyond the mythical and mystical.

Campbell mentions that the Madonna was with the early Christians very strongly. About the third century is when you start getting the dogma of the orthodox church that resembles today's christianity.
