Nice 16,I went basic in 1974,all our M-16 rifles had trap doors,cleaning kits,they were heavily used,Wonderful rifle My private AR is a retro,with a combination of features its close enough to the one I carried in Army.Many rifles in Vietnam would be updated with newer stock ,door,as they came in for service.
Good to see you back again, and with the real article this time. You obviously put a lot of work into your vids, including the attention to the background details. Also good to see you're still wearing your '60s Bulova. Have you thought of making a vid about it? I'm sure it would attract a lot of interest from Vietnam-era buffs and reenactors as well as from vintage watch enthusiasts.
Thanks mane! Genuinely means a lot c: It could be an interesting video but seeing my lack of knowledge on watches from the era, I feel it may be a little lacking and potentially uninteresting. I haven't even managed to find the model number of the specific watch, all I really know is date and provenance. I really want to get my hands on the disposable plastic watches issued at the time, as information is far more readily available and quite interesting overall

Yea the powder the chrome lining theres a lot but the A1 is much better than the M16 . The M16 A2 is the most beautiful and a great rifle. It's got some difference a lot actually well pretty good video.
that M16 is late 1970,s and ex Malaysian Army, how do I know because I have 10 that I Imported from the UK but my are not deactivated they are all live, none were painted black, I do have another 20 ex New Zealand Army and some were painted black this was done when they were on active service on the NZ base in Singapore and all of them are US Property Marked and of cause are all live rifles.
Great video and was interested in what you said about the painted ones as I got mine with a bad paint job just to save a couple of hundred £££s....how exactly did you strip the paint to get it back to it's original finish?
@@PieAndChips I used a stripping fluid for masonry that worked fine and took it back to the original finish but unfortunately tried it on a plastic bb gun and that didn't work so well as it hasn't much finish left now but still works
I find military re-enactors kind of pathetic. If you want to play and glorify war… go fight a real one. Show us that you’re not just a bunch of big 10 year olds going “bang bang.”
You could say that about anything couldn’t you, also in case your interested I’d rather have the real firearms in fact I’d have several if I lived in a country that allowed ownership, remember if you have more than one you haven’t enough, who wants ‘to play and glorify war…. go fight a real one’ certainly not on this platform Mr, never heard so much crap,
