IMHO, Joan may have not been there on the first show very long, but she gave the best first impression. Hopefully the men that join as hopeful contestants this fall, will be worthy of her time and efforts. ☺️🤞
Love Joan! I thought she was such a standout on TGB's first season - she was very classy and articulate, and you could feel her natural warmth and kindness when she spoke to Gerry and the other women. I was actually hoping it would be her, because she had to leave early and didn't really get a chance to enjoy her time on the show. If she hadn't left, I really thought she'd be a final 3 based on the natural chemistry on her date with Gerry. Perfect choice!
Why her? She's not old enough for one thing and was not a prominent player in the Golden Bachelor..... one of the other final ladies would have been a better choice.
They picked the youngest, blondest contestant because it was a safe choice. I’m sad to say I think it’s possible they didn’t offer it to Leslie Fhima because she is Jewish and they were afraid that pro Hamas protesters would camp outside the mansion. Or was it just antisemitism? I was invested in Leslie’s story. She deserved better.
