What I love about Melee volleyball is that characters that are top tier under standard tournament ruleset Melee aren't necessary so at volleyball. Fun to see lower tiers be relevant in a different game mode and can be appreciated for being good at something.

Honestly Zain’s strat was kinda cheap but like hey whatever you gotta do to win but like understandable as they did say “it was tournament” Even if he didn’t win…..

I wish a big tournament made this a side event before it's popularity dwindled. Melee players think they "solved" this mod's metagame, at least theoretically, and high level Melee pros already began to write off losses as pure matchup defeats. Players would cite certain moves like Falco's dair as BS and claim he was broken all together. Meanwhile, the level of play was in it's infancy, and all most players were concerned about was getting the ball over the net by any means possible. They were not yet able to adjust their play in order to eliminate the Falco dair return as an option... perhaps by returning the ball at a low enough height to either mess up timing or cause a self-spike.

Pleeeease move the mouse cursor out of the screen next time you do this.

The largely unspoken fact about Zain's melee prowess is that he wins not by expressing his skill, but by sucking the fun out of the match. His opponent then loses the will to compete, giving Zain a free win. This is why his natural nemesis is Cody, because Cody just sucks harder. lol.
