I would like the Warriors to pursue a true number 2 who can take pressure off of Steph & actually create shots. The Bulls seem to be selling Lavine at a low price cuz no one wants his contract & he has had an injury history the past couple few years. They could potentially buy low on him similar to how they did with Wiggins in 2021 & he can take Klay’s place at the starting SG spot.

@@_AVC_ I think the play-in game speaks volumes of Moody's potential and where Klay is at. Moody also played great D against Jalen Brunson this year. I'd be sad to see Klay go, but I think the best thing for the Warriors is a sign and trade with Klay, and move Moody to starting 2 guard. Podz should be the PG on the second unit. and JK should be the starting SF.

Unfortunately almost every person with the credentials to do these off season moves all say moody should be traded. Not just him. At has nothing to do with moody talent but the warriors have little to no other pieces of value to move. Moody is one of those young players with value that can be traded

Klay is still a good player and we need a replacement if warriors want to contend kuminga is fine no need to trade him they need that paint dominance and he delivers that gives Steph more room to play.

@@itsme-vw5yo A vet minimum I just don’t see that at all, dude is still a really good basketball player. Also in the video we get to a point where he gets his contract and we stay in good financial standing so more moves can be made.

Yeah the video was totally about saying screw the future, we owe it to this group to put together a group of guys that make sense in a Warriors style offense for these last two years. I think we did that pretty well, and we even built some roster flexibility which is nice so if someone does become available you can actually go get him. I hear you on trying to move those guys for a star player, but I don’t know who that would be right now and financially I don’t know how to make that happen. It can be done but it’s a tight rope walk. That’s kinda why I settled on building a deeper bench that can support the starters more. Thoughts?

@@_AVC_ I think the problem is although I think the fit of some of the players you added can be better fits, I don't know how much better these moves make the Warriors. I think there is def a world they are better but especially in the Western Conference, can these moves make this team from a play-in team to a contender? If the answer isn't a clear YES which for me it isn't, it's not worth blowing up the future of Kuminga and even the 2025 first round pick. Also, yes I agree with there aren't many stars available both financially and situationally, but I think a guy like Kuminga rn will help more than most 2024 lottery picks year 1, which is why I think you hold onto Kuminga, and if a star becomes available Kuminga will definitely hold more value than a guy like Knecht or other 2024 prospects considering there are a lot of high floor low ceiling prospects in this draft. Also, the trades made would fit will but you are also leaving a huge gap at POA defense by getting rid of Wiggins and even Moody to an extent. DFS and Shroeder are solid defenders but are they guys you can put on the team's best player every night for POA? That's why I can't give a clear YES for whether or not these moves would put the Warriors back into contention. I agree that the dubs owe it to this trio to contend until they retire, but it's not worth IMO making moves that aren't giving a definitive contender status at the cost of the Warriors future. That's the whole debate in the Warriors fanbase between future and win-now, but I think your rebuild isn't win-now enough especially with the assets you're trading. The players you traded for are all good fits but they leave holes and questions: POA defense, losing overall size, etc. Like I said, if its not going to give the Warriors a strong shot at contending, its not worth blowing up the future for. I'm all for trading Kuminga or other draft assets, but it has to be for the right players that will truly turn this team into a championship team.

But the Warriors system is what gets them a lot of their wins so if we can plug in the right guys and the big 3 get hot one more time. That’s all it takes. Would I put money on it though? Eh probably not haha. If I was running the team though I would risk the future. I just think it’s the least they should do. Again though, totally understand why some wouldn’t like that though!

Yeah I totally don’t disagree that he has a ton of potential. I think it’s pretty evident he doesn’t fit like at all in the classic warriors system, and that’s a problem. Cuz this team won’t be able to win on pure talent so outplaying teams strategically is the only option and I think that’s viable. It would totally suck to move him, but if it were me running it I would feel pretty obligated to the core three to do what I could to give em another shot. Even if it means dark days after they’re gone.

Yeah like I said in the video this concept is based solely around putting a team together that will play the Warriors offense. Guys that would have fit with these guys back in their primes. While maintaining the ability to make more moves throughout the season should the right player become available.

They only have 2 really athletic players on the team with good size. One of them on the rise and the other you don't know what your gonna get. Kuminga and Wiggins both have good size and play multiple positions but yet everyone wants to trade them! SMH! Be careful trading everything away and banking on players meshing i.e. THE SUNS!!!! Trading for draft picks!!! NO!! This is a weak draft. Why do you think everyone is so eager to listen for trade offers to move out of the draft.

@@Tristan15 Sure I’ll give it a shot! First 5 as you saw it, Schroeder, TJD, Podz, DK, Craig. That would be my 10. As for the minutes that is pretty up in the air. I would envision Schroeder playing starter level minutes and being a closer for them. I don’t have exact numbers for ya though!

Your point holds true for Moody, but Kuminga is a bad example. Following up with Kuminga's value being that of a top 5 draft pick, in an off year... I love your analytical approach; sports have a desperate need of an evolution. As an aside, numerous NFL games are lost every year via VERY BASIC decision making errors. I'm always stunned by these billion $ companies making these errors. (This is a discussion for a future time.)

Like we always knew he could do the things we see him do right now he just gets an opportunity to do so. Ayyye I appreciate you! I’ll try to answer all that! 1. That is clutch thank you lol 2. I don’t think that number is ever off the table. Just not how I have seen these negotiations go haha. 3. This could totally be a strategy and even a good one but it takes the human side out of it. He’s a legend to the league and the franchise, I just can’t see that unless he brings it up. 4. I actually did! I think someone gives him above a min though which rules him out. 5. We just have no examples of those two being productive in the Warriors core offense and I think if they want even a shot they need to win via strategy. I think DK better fits the play type. 6. I haven’t really. Who would you have in mind? What’s the value to other teams?

@@_AVC_ I agree with you that the rationale for keeping Klay is emotions/the human side rather than basketball reasons. I'm grateful that Mike D is at the negotiating table instead of Bob Myers at this point in Klay's career. The hard part is getting Klay and Kerr to buy into Klay's best role the next two years. #4, Where do you see Goga ending up? As for #6, I'd be willing to include CP3 and an unprotected 1st next year for Kelly Olynyk and Gary Trent Jr on a sign and trade. My dream offseason would be as follows: 1a: Move the guarantee date on Chris Paul's contract back a week or so, in case his salary is needed in a perfect situation. We've heard CP3 is amenable to that. 1. Renounce Cap Hold on Klay, make some moves, then resign him with his Bird Rights at the end if he chooses to come back. 2. Renegotiate Gary Payton II's contract to 2 years $12 Million, GP2 picks up an extra year of guaranteed money, and in exchange W's reduce cap hit this year by $3 M. 3. Have a conversation with Looney, and release him, pay $3 Million. If no one claims him, sign him for a vet min. (that saves $3 M this year by the CBA). If he gets a better deal somewhere else, so be it. 4. Gary Trent Jr on a non taxpayer mid level? (similar to Donte DiVincenzo's deal last year), if that isn't enough, consider Chris Paul on a sign and trade plus a 1st round pick swap in 2025. 5. Retain Dario Saric on a vet min, he was okay, especially as a 4 paired with Trayce. On a vet min, very good. 6. I LOVE the idea of Kenyon Martin Jr. Ideally a multi year vet min type of deal, like 3 years guaranteed. 7. I'd be open to Andrew Wiggins for Brook Lopez if Milwaukee is open to it, that could work for both sides. Otherwise, hanging onto Wiggins and waiting for his value to improve makes sense, but he has to earn his minutes. 8. Stanley Johnson and Hamidou Diallo on prove it non guaranteed vet min deals.

Just cause I don’t ever want to jeopardize either future employers of me, past ones, or any players I know from being associated with a brand that someone might not like. Wiggins and picks for dejonte Murray Moody and gpII maybe a protected pick or 2nd round pick for Alex Curuso. Try a starting line up of Steph, Dejonte, Kuminga, Joe Ingles and TJD for more spacing With a second line up of Steph, podz, Curuso, green and Wendell Carter Jr or Looney and when Steph eventually goes to the bench throw in a wing like GUI Santos and move pods and Alex down 1. Obviously there will be members from the starting group meshing with the 2nd group, but could this happen and do you think it would be a good enough team?

I feel like Klay&Dray hold the Warriors back..financially and basketball wise from the young players growing stunt growth again.

Dalton Knecht or Sheppard would be a great replacement for Klay. Js While trading Wiggins to Hawks for Trae Young is financially feasible in my opinion. Let me know sir??

​@@_AVC_oh of course, there were a multitude of problems that year, but you might as well try and be productive in some way. I checked and they'd lost 20 road games before they moved Wiseman. So you know things aren't great, so just give the young'ns a shot. Another thing that bothers me... Washington ended up with Poole and Bagley. Porzingis would be a great fit on GS. If the Wizards wanted Poole and a former #2 overall big man who has thusfar disappointed, Warriors should have pounced 😢 My fear is that GS is only as relevant as Steph is healthy and on a hot streak. @@_AVC_ this will only be applicable to the personnel like GSW, a Kuminga/Wiggs/Draymond & GP2 wing-defender who could easily rotate to an anchor like Edey, will be a ton of work and designing the rotation but it will work, Edey could be a future Shaq with a better efficiency offensively, his only problem is mobility but he is still by far better option than Richards, would be cheaper long-term than trading for lottery-picks and align to Curry if GSW would be competing this year. This idea could only cost the Warriors for a Looney or Moody trade for Edey or perhaps including the 2nd Round-pick too to be more enticing to whoever picks him. Bigman problem for GSW will be address, more spacing and interior/lob threat increase will make Curry/Thompson feast outside. 😁😁😁

@@_AVC_ Edey shows better mobility than Clingan in the Combine, in any Bigs who dominated the College game, he has what it takes to be successful in the NBA and have that paint dominance, the comparison to Shaq isn't wild at all, actually the NBA now is becoming more Bigs dominant as the past MVP's were all Bigs or Center at least, not saying he will do better but in all the Center in the draft Edey is the only one who could dominate in the paint like Shaq. The idea of GSW drafting Edey is to dominate on both sides of the court offensively, it's an offensive-minded league now, whoever team got the most unstoppable Offense wins. 😁😁

@@_AVC_ still, the Warriors have made it apparent Kuminga is basically untouchable (unless in a trade for a superstar) so there’s no way in hell they’re trading him for that lack luster haul. Then trading a 2025 first and moody/wiggins for dorian and dennis? Went from a play-in team to probably the 12 seed, and you got rid of Kuminga/Moody and a very valuable 1st. Sold our future and made sure Curry isn’t winning another ring.

@@_AVC_ I never said Klay has to be completely off the team. I just think he’s not reliable enough to start. He needs to still prove himself from the bench that he can still be reliable. After going 0-10 and playing awful in the 2023 playoffs as well he just can’t be trusted anymore. I would look for a guard that can play good defense. One that is 3 and D or is a more reliable scorer. Like Caruso is a great defender and the Warriors showed interest at the deadline. Or they could look at Dejounte Murray who can play solid defense and can get a bucket.

@@Currysgirlfriend Caruso you can probably make work salary wise, I doubt they can do Murray without moving Wiggins. Even then it’s gonna be tight.

Yeah I totally get that. Obviously everything in this vid is done with the idea of trying to maximize the last two years of the Curry deal. Which means dumping the young guys, as lame as it feels.

We might have some unrealistic expectations here. I love that you want so much from them, that’s how we get to great things. But this group is pretty legendary. It’s only gonna get harder and harder to have any sort of dynasty as the league continues to grow its talent pool.

@@_AVC_ I would try n move Wiggins for a big and get ready to give Moody n JK the starting SF n SG spots . Moody on defense was starting to find his ground n his shot has good mechanics . So I could see him shooting close to 40% on 3s . Getting a big puts Dray at PF n helps keep wear n tear from him banging ( pause ) with centers . Curry , Moody , JK , Dray n maybe Allen from Cavs . Podz , Klay , GP , a vet at 4 n Jackson is solid bench . Draft a big n vet wing just in case GP gets hurt or you need more scoring . Maybe Wiggins to Wizards for Kyle ?

@@_AVC_ Well Dray n Curry have been main ball handlers since KD left with the exception of Poole n Paul . Poole got out of control and Paul played too slow . If you bring veteran pg in he needs to be 6'4 & up if you wanna use Curry at 2 because Curry n Paul was too old n too small .

Not sure I understand the first part of your comment. Can you elaborate? As far as the Kuminga trade goes. That’s a contending trade in my mind. You need a center in that conference that can at least somewhat match up with other bigs in the conference, that also is cheap enough to even be on the team. Add DK with it and you get a guy that hopefully can come in and be guy for ya right away. I personally don’t think Kuminga fits the team well otherwise I totally see your point value wise. I hate to be that guy as well and I try not to be but it’s *cheap*.

Kuminga is on the verge of becoming a superstar in the league. We need to trade him for a BIG dog. A #2 option to pair alongside Steph.
