But dunking bowl (the outer bottom part of which touches human hands as well as the surface of the shelf it is sometimes kept on) into the reservoir to scoop up water is not really hygienic. Collect filtered distilled water from a tap system.

Amritsar is a wonderful city i was there about six months ago, and i recomend youto go to the Pakistani Border to the changing of the guards there, it's a wonderful show not to be missed. Its also a good time to head for the hills, to the Vaishno Devi temple north of Jammu, it's a nice place in the hills, and unexplored jem just waiting to be discovered :)

For some entertainment i'd thoroughly recommend going to see the closing ceremony at the Wagga border crossing . I'll travel back there one day . Take care

I visited this extraordinary temple many years ago, it was absolutely breathtaking. I didn’t partake of the food or visit the kitchens, so it was great to see this side of the monumental production in feeding so many thousands of people. when India was being invaded one after another by outsiders in ancient times it was the Punjab, now divided between India and Pakistan which took the most beating. because of gen0cides one after the other it gave birth to the warrior community called Sikh. they have saved millions of Indians specially women. they are a big reason that present day India not an Islamic country.

Great visit to Sri Harmandir Sahib! Also known as the Golden temple. Im an American Sikh Gabi and indeed it is a very special place to visit. The Sikh history is an amazing one! Instead of Namaste (Hindu) Sat Sri Akaal is a greeting for Sikhs. Basptised Sikhs wear the 5Ks..Kesh (uncut hair) Kanga (wooden comb) kara (iron bracelet) kachera (underwear) kirpan (sword). I agree about the spiritual feeling ❤I loved it totally and the free feeding of the people who come is do beautiful. They also cover your head for you for free you just give it back on the way out.
