i struggle with this. because sometimes i end up getting too connected and not have enough width. this usually happens at the beginning of the season when I lost my feel and I'm trying to keep things tight. luckily I'm pretty flexible so I manage to take the club back probably too far inside but believe it or not I still drop the club even more inside on the downswing. only problem is I lose some power and flow with my swing. id like to see a video on the second part of the backswing to maintain the proper width, for some reason I lack feel at this point in the swing. could be due to my trail arm injury idk.
This is one of the big reasons Moe Norman setup with the club on the ground 12-18 inches back. He said that it takes away one of the big faults of most golfers of a bad takeaway. Helps to keep the takeaway from going too inside/outside.
Don’t mean this in a horrible way, never seen Marks videos, they have just appeared in my shorts, as it appeared on screen with a close up face shot, i honestly thought it was Timmy mallet, even Google Mark to make sure, again no offence intended, but an uncanny resemblance 😮
