I love the color and materials! The nib looks enjoyable as well. I appreciate the pros and cons that you pointed out. Not knowing which end is the right end you’re unscrewing could get a little funny sometimes, haha. Great review! Thanks for taking the initiative and getting the word out.

A person who writes with a flex nib fountain pen should expect to slow down to allow the ink to flow nicely.

Typically other flex nib pens I’ve used in the past do allow for regular speed. The model I reviewed wouldn’t even keep up with slow writing. However, I know Sunil has modified the feed since the review.

I really like the minimalist aluminum design of the pen. I'm not sure I would be such a huge fan of the nib, but maybe swapping it would be a simple enough solution. Thanks for the review!

This definitely feels like a British version of Karas pens in the U.S. Not a metal pen fan, though I do like the color of this one. Could the flexing issue be ink related?

Metal pens are making huge waves these days ! Especially for the EDC community. I’m definitely seeing a slight shift to wood and metals. In regards to the flow, I’ve tried various inks, but a flex nib should be able to keep up with most inks!

The step might look a bit much. But what's important is how it feels in your hand. Only way to find out: try it!

I would strongly disagree with you about making any changes to the cap/barrel to indicate which end is which. The design for me is very important. I can live with a less than perfect nib and writing experience. The equal lengths of the cap and barrel IS the selling point and any printing on the barrel would be counter to the design.

The writing experience should be paramount for any pen. No matter how beautiful the design is, if it doesn’t write to user expectations, it becomes a pricy paper weight.

Had you changed the first word in your opening statement to "My" I would have taken less umbrage at what you think a writing experience should be or what a users expectations are ! A Faberge egg is a paper weight . A thing of craftsmanship and beauty (MY opinion) It doesn't have to DO anything.

Perhaps try holding the pen 'face on' to get a better flex, rather than the slanted sideways style you use?

The nib just doesn't have a lot of flex though. I have tried that method in the past, but a pen should be able to flex with a classic triangular grip :)

Low manufacturing runs, price of living in the UK all contribute to the pricing of the pen. I think I am going to write/produce an article about pricing for fountain pens, because I feel there is a lot to talk about on this matter.
