zeddisntdead i likes that you were forced, you didn’t choose the raider boss position it was forced upon you same as how many raiders in the commonwealth were kidnapped and forced to join. You learn more of there perspective because in this dlc your not being evil by clearing the park to help raiders just doing what you must to survive.
Simply put Bethesda is a terrible dm Bethesda: what you don’t want to do this quest the evil way? Then kill all of them and get no quests. Me: or or start a rebellion quest with the slaves that involves you sneaking or killing your way in a building to deactivate them. Maybe before that you do a quest to stockpile the rebellion with weapons, and when the collars are deactivated you do a quest a night to charge one of or all the gangs.

I really appreciate the deep psychology at the bottom of all of the stories in Bethesda games and how our decisions and progress in them is a reflection of us and who we are and what we want, where we want to go, etc. if we are given the options. I appreciate the options to do bad things but it feels more rewarding by preserving life that wants good for other life in general.
Yup, that's what people don't get about Far Harbour too. The genuinely Good ending is the one where you do not complete the missions (and so forego the loot) in order to avoid slaughtering people.
It's because Bethesda made Nuka World to essentially say, "You can be evil in Fallout 4". After all, there were tons of complaints that Fallout 4 had too little of player choice, including evil playthroughs. So Bethesda made Nuka World and went so far in the opposite direction that it conflicts with the entire main quest of siding with the Minutemen.
Well I think it makes sense for Nate/Nora. Their kidnapped son dies of either cancer or you nuke him, then Far Harbor is a moral clusterfuck of either setting off another nuke, wiping out synths, or doing what the institute did and replace leaders with synths to maintain peace. I think mentally they’d be about to snap and Nuka-World pushes them over the edge

or you could tell Preston. Gather a bunch of minutemen to surround Nuka-World, and put them at seige. Meanwhile the Sturges and the minutemen set up artillery outside and Ronnie organizes a storming party.

I wish their could have been a minutemen quest where you storm Nuka world with an army of minutemen, and then you have the option to execute any captured raiders with their own collars.
@@iloveowls90 there are mods that allow it for all factions and if you have mods that make the factions in the base game all allied under you then you can end up with a custom army including all the factions helping you take Nuka world hell i always get rid of the raiders as i prefer my united faction to be in control
You actually don't lose your settlements permanently. You can just take over three settlements for the raiders, finish power play with gaining your two raider perks and then kill all the raiders in Nuka World (Open Season) and your settlements in the commonwealth. After that you regain control over both your three settlements and your supply settlement. That way you can get the maximum out of this DLC and plus it would be both good AND really raider-like to betray the raiders in the end.
does this actually work? i wouldn’t mind doing it like this. id move movable settlers from 3 of my smaller settlements to my bigger settlements that way in case i can’t convince them to leave the loss of settlers isn’t that bad, right ? would that work ??
@@alex321123100 Yesn't. The old settlers do stay dead, and the Raider settlement system has unique changes (ie: Food is different, all Raider settlements are useable but Raider vassals are not). No function is truly lost, since you can get new Ops/Dis/Pack members the same way as the settlers whom they replace.
I feel you man. But the funniest thing is when some settlement at Far Harbor is being attacked and you are in the Nuka World. This is some mighty ass bullshit and always pisses the every living crap out of me.
I kinda wish that the good ending was expanded on. Lore-wise, Nuka world would be a really good opportunity for a massive settlement. I have no idea if the game would even be able to handle that, but one can dream

I made a playthrough specifically so I could keep the perks that the Operators and the Pack offer, all you have to do is make sure you complete the Nuka World DLC before meeting Preston Garvey. Once Nuka world is finished and you have the perks you want then you help Preston until he gives you the mission to kill the Nuka World raiders. Keep Nuka World and it's perks, then play through the rest of the game as you normally would
@@leonpoyner3403 So the way it plays out if you go straight to Nuka world without meeting Preston is that when you come back to Concord as the overboss he acts like nothing is wrong. As soon as he gets to sanctuary though he'll think you're a disgrace and tell you to kill the three faction leaders, once done he goes right back to your old buddy o pal. Plus you keep the perks from the Nuka world factions, so for me that +25% damage with suppressed weapons and the melee perk from the pack.

I started this DLC thinking, "Oooh! I'm going to learn about how raiders are actually deep and complex characters!". Then I step into the Disciples' den and remember thinking, "Uhm, nope, you're all dying now. Right now."
Even the Pack isn't too bad, I have a habit of assimilating most of my settlements into Minuteman military outposts (Which is why I am reluctant to finish Nuka-World) I would put the Operators in to a spec ops outfit, like my Minuteman marines (Baseball outfit with painted combat armour) Where the pack could be used as shock troops for a nice display of "Shock and awe" or cannon fodder at worst.
@@kaspersaldell Just like the Enclave remnant soldier in the cave that ate that blokes heart. The Pack will incite fear in to the enemies by being basically futuristic viking berserkers, while the Operator snipers and marksmen pick off high value targets during the ensuing madness XD
@@CrackDCat You can find "Mystery meat" in The Pack's camp, and if you have the Cannibal perk and consume it, you get the same bonuses associated with eating human flesh. This proves that they are more frequently cannibalistic, and not to mention sadistic, probably. The Operators are kind of alright, except for Lizzie of course. That bitch can burn in hell.
Same for me: In the elder scrolls, like Skyrim, I try to do an evil gameplay, for example a dark magician or sadistic vampire. It's a fantasy world, after all...but fallout it's a post apocalyptic land, filled with despair, famine and violence. In all of the three game of Bethesda (Fallout 3, New Vegas and this) i play always the good guys.
Yeah, I know where your coming from. Which is why, when i play a character based off myself... I do the game this way. Prolog- Old world ends. New one starts. Book One: Track down my kid. Help those i can along the way. Lose my kid (one way or another) Book Two: Falls into pit of despair and anger. (enter Nuka World) Climbs out of self destruction. Book Three: (Begins when i kill Nuka Raiders & Join The Minutemen) Rebuild what i can (Has a way of redemption) Leaves the wasteland, moving on the the next one. Book Four: (Enter Far harbor) Sortout far harbor. One way or another... Epilogue- Return to the Wasteland, pay respects to dead loved one, and disappear into the glowing sea.(END GAME) I do it this way cause it feels the most realistic... Plus it makes me feel like: A Hero that falls, than redeems themselves in the end.
This is actually the ACCURATE way: War hero has a family and a nice life, then the bombs fall and shatter it. But he saves his family by going to the Vault. Only to be frozen (small hit to the brain), unfrozen to witness a traumatizing event (big hit to the brain), then REFROZEN (MAJOR hit to the brain). He then is once again unfrozen only to find giant bugs, a ruined world (if the previous brain hits didnt, this woulda broken a mind. Science and biology DEMAND it.) It makes sense that this person would just be straight up crazy now. He'd inhale brahmin dung fumes, hed shoot a lady and her kid running a diner to get more, hed DEFINITELY burn down these Minutemen freaks that think its 1770s, and he would ABSOLUTELY luv a psycho theme park and rule it. The world took everything from him, so hes just taking everything from it. Justice.
Why can't you lead an elite platoon of who ever your main faction is to purge nuka world of raiders and start a mini war against them. Especially as the Minutemen this would be a cool experience cause it gives them more to their faction as they are already starving for unique content.
If they did it properly through a staged campaign. Because I can't say I'm keen for another version of Far Harbors Institute or Brotherhood paths. Which basically amount to "Go in there and kill everyone" single missions or much shortness.

+ekulerudamuru to be fair with Bethesda fallout 4 does offer some unique experiences compared to the other fallout games. However that being said it is lacking in some story development and this creates a lot of missed opportunities. I love the fallout franchise and the stories that have been created by Bethesda, Black Isle, obsidian, and ultimately the fans. But these missed opportunities should be noted so that they can improve upon the formula. even if they added it in later on its just be a joy to see some of these options become available and a reality. From taking over the commonwealth as raiders, to waging war against the raiders as the Minutemen. Heck even refounding America as one of these two factions would be a joy to experience.
same goes for Sanctuary, Red Rocket and Sunshine Coop (I think that's the name of it). Plus my fortress of the castle can never be taken over so it's all good haha.
Well the Brotherhood deal with Ghouls, Super Mutants or Synths. Which is why you were able to call them in to wipe out the synth colony in Far Harbor. They don't typically give 2 shits about raiders enough to go out of their way to plan an invasion. The Minutemen on the other hand....
now now think about it for a moment, nuka world has access to a variety of advanced technological marvels including multiple military machines, that plus nuka world would make a useful base of operations. both seem fairly good reasons for the brotherhood to get involved
John michael While these weapons are creative I wouldn't call them advanced or even more practical than what the brotherhood already has. I would however call the life extending technology a technological marvel. However something like that is useless to the brotherhood seeing as eternal life means you're just a head. Even if it did work properly, you would be categorized as an abomination that must be eliminated much like a synth. Synths are what you would consider technologically advanced, but the brotherhood would rather destroy them than use them.

I found the Nuka world raider gangs to be repulsive and killed every one of them from the start 😂 I also spent enough time with Cait to know she would have the time of her life helping me take down all the raiders 😎
Even on my fifth play-through I decided to kill Porter Gage as soon as I was done with Colter, didn't even let him finish saying his lines. From then on killing the rest of the raiders was only natural. I simply hate raiders
Funny thing to try - Go straight to the market after killing Colter and talk to Mackenzie to get the Open Season quest. Then kill off the gangs and go turn on the power before you go talk to Porter in Fizztop. He'll just stand there and stare at you. He has no dialog options to handle this sequence of events, and won't interact with you at all.

If you actually know Star Wars lore, thats bullshit. The sith in the movies aren't even subject to yodas words- I mean, Darth Bane made a soul eating force bomb that destroyed almost every force user in the galaxy. What the FUCK does the light side have on that? There are some dark side users who are inexperienced that rely on spur of the moment expulsions of emotion, like Kylo Ren. Then there are the Darth Bane and Darth Vader individuals who bring patients and true mastery to the dark side- just cold, hatred to power them. Vader is a monster, and he didn't just mash out like a child. He was always full of hate but was always reserved and calculated and knew when to strike out, how to instill fear to feed off of so that he could become more powerful. If you pay attention in Star Wars, you would notice that the Jedi might lean on the good side but they are pretty messed up and questionable as well. Luke however, was truly good.
My first playthrough of Nuka World , I didn't realize that even being the slightest cordial with the raider gangs puts implications on you with the minutemen. I found out the hard way after putting in serious time in Nuka world that I returned to a pissed off Preston Garvey. So I started a second playthrough , This time I wasted every single raider in sight. Nearly impossible without Mods.
Gage likes to say how much nuka world gangs are better than regular commonwealth raiders. However capitol wasteland raiders had a nuch better thing going and were truly intelligent. I was honestly disappointed that being a raider in nuka world didn't give me a mesmatron and let me collar anyone

I love the final transmission Red-Eye sends before getting the Hell out of Dodge. He’s basically like: THIS IS WHY WE DON’T LET TRIGGER HAPPY BITCHES JOIN THE CLUB!” I’m also glad Red-Eye ran off. Means I didn’t have to kill him.

It felt so good killing dixie especially. She deserved every pain imaginable. Wiping out all the raiders was fun. It would have been better for whatever faction you allied with in the main game and plan a raid against nuka world.
I tried to have a "redemption" ending by wiping out all my raider settlements only to discover you can't because the turrets are unkillable. Why they would allow a simple bug to ruin this whole endgame scenario is beyond me.
The best way to do this DLC, morally, and gameplay-wise, is this: 1. Do not become General of the Minutemen (at least not until finishing all these steps) 2. Complete the entire Nuka-World DLC on the side of the raiders, with Porter Gage as a companion to acquire his companion perk 3. Complete Shank's Settlement takeover quests until the quest Power Play starts 4. Finish Power Play with the two Raider gangs you want the perks from, they will follow you to the Power Plant during this quest 5. As soon as the two perks are awarded, kill the Raider Gang leaders while they are still on the roof of the Power Plant with you, this will allow you to complete the Open Season quest without having to kill your way through hundreds of Raiders in Nuka-Town USA 6. Go back to the Commonwealth and reclaim the settlements you gave to the Raiders by killing them 7. You are now free to become General of the Minutemen without Preston hating you, allowing you to keep him as a follower AND gain his affinity perk 8. Congratulations! You now have all perk benefits of an evil playthrough, but still keep Preston Garvey as a companion (he won't even comment on it if you complete Open Season before meeting him.)
What if you were to pay through Nuka-World, and then finish open season, but you are already general of the minutemen, but you didn't talk to Preston until after open season, what happens then?
JakeSpacePirate E Preston only hates you if he knows you whilst you are Overboss with at least one owned main game raider settlement (Shank's Commonwealth missions) as long as none are marked as owned in the Commonwealth, Preston will still tolerate any action committed in Nuka-World. Seems his precious settlements are his last straw
It's impossible to become General without securing Tenpines Bluff specifically, as long as you finish Open Season BEFORE securing Tenpines Bluff, you'll be okay. If you secure Tenpines Bluff before Open Season with any raider settlement in the Commonwealth marked as owned, Preston will know about you and your raiders and will give you the Open Season quest himself before asking you to be the General, but I'm not sure if he will still like you doing it this way, It probably should work because he doesn't become a companion until you ARE General, he can't hate, dislike, like or Love any actions if he doesn't have companion status
It was discovering that one of the raider gangs were 'Furries' for me... NOPE! You all must die! Cook Cook Nefti and Violet all ended their lives by meeting the Courier and all the gangs of the Commonwealth met their ends at the hands of the Sole Survivor. But Furries creep me the fuck out big time.
Thanks for this Ox, I’m about to do this quest and this helped me a great deal. I can’t go along with the raiders, I just can’t stomach slavery in any form, I’d never enjoy the game from that point on if I sided with any of the gangs so it’s going to be a slave rebellion!
TRISTAN KAHL the dole survivor should have been angry, he seen his wife get killed and kid taken away as he was trapped and couldn’t do anything. He shouldn’t have be happy and smiling all the time😕
One issue I have is that in my save I've sided with the brotherhood, so when I give the raiders their settlements I randomly get a misc quest telling me to go protect a settlement. But instead of being other raiders or gunners, it's the brotherhood. So I have to just stand there, not attacking anyone hoping that the brotherhood soldiers don't destroy my whole settlement. This sucks so much and I'm really on the fence about killing all the raiders now that I've finished the raider side of the story. I like Gage and the settlements I took over producing caps so I don't want to do it but I hate the brotherhood attacking the raiders.
I love how when he pulls up the most evil thing the operators have done, it doesn't even make the top 5 for worst things done by the CIA, aRgUaBlY in the top 10.
Why not infiltrate the NW raider gangs with the Railroad? Or meet them on the battlefield with the Minutemen? Or storm their base with the Brotherhood? How epic would that have been?
Nelson the minutemen are a minor defensive militia, the brotherhood don't really care about anyone, and how on earth would the hippy railroad make it 15 feet past the gate without breaking into tears...
Playing through Nuka World for the first time, thank you for the informative video! I have to agree... one of my favorite parts about Fallout 4 is building the settlements for the Minutemen and taking care of my settlers. Bummed that I have to do Open Season, I like the gangs & Gage but I cannot cause such havoc on the Commonwealth and piss off Preston and my settlers :/
I did this, but a bit differently, when coming into nuka-world the whole thought of being the leader of raiders never sat right with me, and unfortunately through dialogue it didn't seem as if I was ever going to be free of that position. So in mid-convo with Gage I just used the gaus-rifle to blow his brains out then the "open season" quest activated.
🏴 It's June 2022 and I'm back playing fallout 4 yet again. I love the game and can't get enough of it. Your videos are amazing and I've lost count of how many times I've watched them but they are great to refresh the memory before playing another zone or level. Siding with the raiders forces you to take the assumption that the common wealth broke your good guy. It's probably the only thing I'm not a huge fan of in FO4: enforced narrative. Having said that it doesn't bother me as much as it does other people and I still had a blast stripping preston of his gear, handing it to gage, and forcing garvey to live on an island by himself before betraying him. HERES AN ISLAND TO LIVE ON PRESTON. LET ME MARK IT ON YOUR MAP.
Frosthaven LOL poor Preston. Yeah this is one of the problems with forced narrative: if you want to go a different route with expanded content, you basically have to shoehorn things in.
I RPed like this I had to join them to make sure they didn't go killing in the common wealth. Sure I convinced the settlers to leave but after I thinned out the raiders across the commonwealth that allowed me to kill the leaders easier then I went back to reclaim the settlements. Sure I got Preston the living Long siblings apparently possessed him but I sent his arse away so I can live with his whining =)
Maybe that's the real beauty of it. All of the fallout games start you off on some good or righteous quest. Getting a water purifier for your vault, finding your father, saving your son. But the point is not to RP as who you are... but what the wasteland turns you into. Sure you may start the game as a wonderful father that wants nothing more than to find your son... but will he keep the good in him? or is it only a matter of time before he breaks?

When I did the nukaworld dlc, I opened up all of nuka world for the gangs, until shank wanted to raid my settlements, then did the good ending. I was able to get all the new decorative items from nuka world. But, you have the evil ending quest stuck in your quest log, if you can live with that..
You can make all the quests for the raiders and then have a "change of heart" and kill them all and retake the settlements, just remember to do it before becoming the general so that preston can stil be talked to
I've found you still get the extra raider settlement items if you kill the raiders, but you have to then go and clear out each section of nuka world, and complete the respective quests. The items will unlock following the completion of each zone. I did 'Open Season' as soon as I got to Nuka World. Happy Hunting!
The final fight with the Sole Survivor going full slaughter on the raiders reminds me of the Kingsmen Church scene. If only we could have Freebird playing in the background.

I wouldn't say Mackenzie lied. It's an annoying programming feature in all the fallout games. Like in New Vegas. I snipe a Legion patrol from a mile away with an AMR. I'm in the middle of the freaking Mojave desert with no other soul for miles and magically, instantly the legion knows - YOU - did it and are there sworn enemy. It's the same way people can identify you when you are wearing freaking power armor or even after you change your face. I hate it...
I always kill Vulpes Inculta and his sect as they live Nipton. I speak to him and, as they leave in a neat sweet line, I follow them and stealth kill them one.by.one as they travel through the wasteland, like a new-californian Jason Vorhees. As long as the next in line doesn't hear your attack (I go melee, but you can use a silenced gun) you are a-ok. Going stealth, I've wipped almost every Legion camp (including Nelson and Cottonwood Cove) and they still think I'm the coolest cat in town. Man, I love NV. :-)
+TheLoneWarrior From what I recall, if you use melee weapons and time it correctly, you have two hits before the target spots you. After the first bash, they start to turn around but if you hit them again in stealth before they can turn their head in your general direction, it still counts as stealth (don't know if for XP points, but for infamy I think it counts as stealth).
Angry Yankee hey, at least skyrims bounty system was dependant upon witnesses, i dont know why fallout didnt implement that as much. In skyrim you can murder some one in the middle of nowhere and the game will let you know if you killed the one witness. If three people saw and you cut them down, the game would say that no witnesses remain. And in turn, no bounty. That needs to be fleshed out more. Same goes for stealing in skyrim if your cought by the items owner and you kill them.
On my playthrough, I cleared all the parks, without even travelling with Gage, did the park medallion and Cappy in a haystack quests and then killed all the Raiders. One weird thing that happened was that Nisha was outside of Nuka-Town USA, in a small utility shack and she died in one shot because she'd been fending off a Bloated Glowing One and a few other feral ghouls
I'm about to do my third NW play-through, and I've never thought twice about an ending other than Open Season. Killing slavers justifies creating the most hideously OP Automatron companion the game will allow, IMO, and letting it run wild. Very satisfying!
I actually like that you don't get the perks for the good ending, I think it makes it more of an "ethical" dilemma. It's easy to do good if there is no cost to it. The idea is to make you think like a raider, hey if I do bad things I get all these benefits. Being good when there really is nothing in it for you seems more realistic somehow. Gage even talks about his becoming a raider because they were the ones that got things & the benefits of being a raider, as well as having everyone scared of you. He mocked the people that chose to take the harder but "good" path, like his parents & work for what they had. Just my take on it though, like a good book good games are open to interpretation. .
Now that I think of it like that, it is an ethical dilemma where they're trying to bribe you almost with the evil ending when they offer several perks.
I agree completely with it being a true test of morality and like that aspect of it, but it is a little sad that my 14 hour run of the place could have been a 30 minute dlc pack if I chose to be the good guy early on.

The good ending is the most heroic in that the player actualy makes sacrifices for others. Sacrificing things he wants in order to do the right thing. It’s the most heroic decision you can make in game
You got to play Nuka world before saving Preston once you got everything done kill the Raiders you got the loot you get the perks you get the gear so on and so forth just make sure you do it before becoming General
Yes, even after you kill all the raiders you can still buy the ammo from the former-slaves in the marketplace. I think buying it becomes your only viable source of 7.62 ammo though as occasionally small groups of Nuka-World raiders can spawn at the random encounters sites but they aren't nearly enough to cover all your ammo needs.
Isaac Richardson If anything, you'd have to kill the raiders for the good end, and then you can loot their bodies. OR, you can buy the Splatter Cannon.
Word to the wise. If you plan on screwing over the Minutemen taking settlements you already claimed for them by force, be sure not to set up heavy machine guns on a settlement early in the game. Forgot I did and was cut to ribbons by my own defenses.🤣
Do you lose anything by offing the raiders right away when you get into Nuka World before you claim the other zones? Can you still claim the zones after you kill Gage? Does it make the zones and quests outside of Nuka Town useless? Thanks for your awesome videos!
Not sure if you're still curious but from recently completing it, looks like you can still complete the quests but you don't exactly "claim" the areas. You just clear out all the hostiles really

that's not really possible with a dlc that comes months after the main game, they assume most players will have already completed the main story. it would be cool....but hard to set up
All i wanted was to force raiders at gunpoint to be proper gentlemen. They would say please and thank you a lot, clean the park and spread flyers about love and friendship across the Commonwealth. But i guess programming Kill Everyone is easier.
For the capture/kill quest in good neighbor you can talk to your targets and ask them to follow you after that you can walk them straight out the front door and kill/ ask them to put on the "necklace" does require a speech check but it avoids melting down cities
I completed all the raider quests first, got the perks from The Operators and The Pack, then killed them all with my Fat Man, saving the settlers of Nuka World. I also did this before I rescued Preston from Concord, so yeah -- epic story of redemption for my OC. From Overboss to General of the Minutemen. Pickman would be proud.
Exciting Marcus he was my first victim, then cleared the market, wasted the operaters, capped the pack, and finally silenced the diciples. And after alllll that, I went to fetch myself robot parts. And for some reason....found out I got raider buildables anyway .....sweet
I fail to see how the logical leap between "Kill the leaders and the gangs will collapse" and "Kill the leaders and the raiders will follow you" is made, especially since it appears that the gangs are loyal solely to their leaders, and the leaders simply tolerate the overboss due to their strategic worth. I frankly don't think she is ever deceptive, she is literal. Might just be a little bit too much in the way of wishful thinking. I wouldn't put too much money on rehabilitation of gangs of psychopaths and sociopaths in a post-apocalypse.
I know this is a late comment, I am new to fallout in general thanks to the fallout tv show and i really enjoyed building up the defenses of settlements and making them look nice so thank you for showing how to start the good ending.
Getting full genocidal against raiders and supermutants is actually thrilling. And it's also profitable in this case since the traders have respawning caps. I think I've gotten 50-60k just selling the gear from the dead raiders. I had gotten all the goodies from Porter Gage and Cola Cars arena beforehand. Also you can do those radiant quests without any violence or even antagonizing important factions, just lure the target out of the settlements with an easy speak check and collar them there; also avoid those quests targeting Minutemen or BoS, just save before you get them and then if you get such a quest load until you get one targeting gunners or raiders.
You can also claim 3 settlements in the commonwealth, turn on the power by completing power play and then go to Preston Garvey for open season giving you 2 of the perks and giving you the good ending
I always looked for the best endings too. I just don't get any gratification from being a bad guy. Some people do, because it's just a game after all and they want to explore that. That's fine, but not for me. When I play a role in a game I take my personality with me. Sounds silly doesn't it. What I find interesting is that the narrative changes based on the moral choices you make in the game. It's not just a shooter, but a story. Bioshock was like that too, and fallout forced the sole survivor to make some very hard decisions. As in life, not everyone is going to be a winner. And in the end you just have to choose what kind of world you want this to be.
I did this on my first playthrough I had no idea you could ally with the raiders to the point they could have settlements I assumed you "Betrayed" them anyway at some point or that open season was the main ending. I had no idea you could side with the Raiders that much. Its a good DLC when you do Open Season but Its also bad I guess because the other option makes no sense. Just like in Farcry 3 where one ending you can kill the people you spent the whole game rescuing for some crazy chick.
you can get the open season quest as soon as you become overboss, atleast thats when i got it, so i saved there and it allowed me to explore the whole of the dlc so long as i didnt overwrite that save.
I'll mark it on your map for you. In all seriousness, I wish I could get the brotherhood to come in (a little like apocalypse now without killing civies) and storm the place or just use blitzkrieg tactics.
Alexander Krestan which is fun as a sniper but as a lmg power armor character it's disappointing and I have been using this character since I purchased the game and have the entire SPECIAL chart filled out, I kind of felt ripped off by this dlc
I killed every gang and leader right from the beginning after I got out of the gauntlet, restore power to nuka, got my Quantum armor and did every little side mission.
@@kennywiratrijaka9058 You can restore power after you complete Open Season (kill raiders), or after you complete the evil ending, but you can start the open season mission at anytime, so it's easier and faster.
Can you complete all the quest in the park and then start open season? Is open season available to start at any point in the game? Because I was under the impression you could get the raider perks and then start open season?
...and why can't we rape! Pillage if you like, sell people into slavery, maim and murder whomever, ( except the kids), but there is still no RAPE button! It's 2016 and Trumps running for president, and still no rape button in the wasteland... Survival Mode indeed. ;) [is joke]
Thanks for this, Oxhorn. In my Minuteman playthrough and my first time encountering Nuka-World I became very conflicted. I was willing to help the gangs secure the rest of Nuka World but the second Porter mentioned the Commonwealth, it stumped me in my tracks and the fact that you can’t proceed in restoring the park’s power without conquering some of the Commonwealth for me was a deal-breaker. This video allowed me to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. These raiders are irredeemable and they only wish to loot, murder, and rape anyone they come across. Now I’m going to make the ultimate backstab in Fallout history and go John Wick on these raiders. The only good one is a dead one. 😎

You know, when they tell me to destroy the settlement's I started to kill everybody, I remember thinking: "You're not getting close to my settlement's".
I really wish they developed a better "good guys" faction for nuka world. It is a lot of content that doesn't fit for anyone playing a good character, which would be fine to me if there was a raider-faction ending to the main storyline.
The good ending really should be just as rewarding as the bad ending. Otherwise the choice isn't be evil or be good; it's be evil or don't bother getting the DLC.
Yeah, I thought at first that I would find a group of escaped traders and we would take out the raiders together, but that isn't what happened. The hold out traders seem to have perished prior to my arrival.
@@eXTreemator alOt doesn't need to be a happily ever after ending but a good ending should be offered, even the most grimdark worlds offer a light at the end of the tunnel.
i hope you know if you choose a settlement you already own send all the people to another one and you still own it and can go in the workshop and everything. the settlers are just like 3-5 random people from the raider gangs
So if you go with the raiders or the good side do you still get all the documents weapons and most importantly nuka town power Armour. Or are you able to defeat all the overlord bosses if you go with the good guy way?
mack black “Dishonoring” the Brotherhood in Fallout 4? They aren’t exactly the heroes like they were in Fallout 3. Here, they’re not exactly friendly to settlers.
It depends. You still can finish all of the quest until you reach the point where you're told to invade Commonwealth and still be considered "good" (Even Preston won't mind at all if he tags along when you're doing the quests). If you do that, you're only missing out on Raider Outpost system, which is pretty much a settlement system for Raiders that are frustrating anyway (Raiders hate being told to farm), and of course, the perks.
Another way to consider is actually finishing all of the raider quests, get the perks, and then go back to being the good guy. You will still lose Preston Garvey as companion (which I don't mind at all), and you can strike the raider outposts and reclaim them as your settlement. If you go down this route, make sure to not have any turrets in the raider outpost. It causes bug and won't let you reclaim the settlement.
Side note with the turrets. Any time you are taking over your own settlements it's sensible to store the turrets. They become available to you again as soon as you re-take it (either for settlers or raiders). So make the take over easier and give yourself instant turrets once it's over.
I've never had an issue with the turrets you just do enough damage to destroy them. They shut down but remain in place. once you have done that with all of them you go to the workshop and reacquire the settlement. Then you can repair the turrets and use them as defense again.
James Beem Seems that it's already fixed then. There was a problem where the turret isn't considered destroyed. It stays at 1 HP and I couldn't do anything to claim the settlement. It got stuck.
