What would happen if you got four people to look all over to see where she comes out of if they call for Bad Janet at the same time? Bad Janet would most likely appear behind them.
They probably used a low friction surface and padded her shoes with the same low friction material when recording so she would just slide when michael pushed her
@@gaymerjerry According to the Good Place podcast she was on a weird kind of lazy susan thing for the spin (notice we don't see her legs; they're in braces as part of the spinning apparatus), then Michael walked across the room alone and they digitally added Janet, then for the shot leaving the room they literally just put her on a skateboard and Michael pushed her (again, feet not visible in shot). Apparently most of the digital work is on the replacement Janet that slides into view as they leave; they had to edit normal unbraced legs onto her. You have to wear special shoe cosies in the Big White Room to avoid marring the Perfect White Floor so they can't do anything special with the shoes. It's a fancy room, apparently.
From what we've now seen of the good place committee, they certainly didn't do any such thing. It's more likely they left the warehouse unlocked because it's how native they are, like that lady at the good place post office.
Interesting. If they had a contingency Janet though; does this not mean the stolen Janet who was placed in a Demon-run environment is a corrupt Janet; since she can mimic a bad Janet, fall in love, make Derek and Daphne et al?
@@FM-gu5kt IT's stated in the show that this Janet is much more human-like that most, due to the incredible number of reboots Michael went through when he was still trying to torture everybody. Janets become more intelligent every time they're rebooted. Compare season 1 Janet to season 3 Janet and you'll see what I mean.
3rd and final season, last 4 episode ( or maybe 5) starting man 9th. Its fitting that it should end in Jan. (or maybe Feb...which is too bad if that eventuates)
when you think about it, the bad place people aren't exactly smart either. They really didn't need a Janet in the first place, because how would the humans even know what was "supposed" to happen in the afterlife? So they could have saved themselves some trouble by just not including a Janet at all.
The best part about this is that mortals *don't know about Janet.* They could've easily just skipped including a Janet altogether, but it never even occurred to them.
@@gurglequeen433 I’m pretty sure she says “and your dad’s salty nuts you fat dink.” I could be wrong, but I feel like that’s at least relatively close. :P
Well I mean... it makes sense... they are good and stuff... only reason there is security is if you don't trust people... albeit i also see security for keeping bad people out so.... eh... the good place never expected the bad place to actually think up a complex plan of pretending to be the good place and using a good janet for anything... Side note...what is the use of bad janets? they aren't for humans to use since..they're tortured..and the demons don't really use them it seems since they just... torture humans in many ways
No he calls her Janet. (he has accurately called her Janet all the other times). He just puts a weird emphasis on the T which makes it sound like Janice.
The ad I got at the beginning of the video was a show called "Don't" and the guy that hosts the show is the same actor that plays trevor in "The Good Place"
6 years later people want to see this series on Netflix the irony of seeing Sam Malone the bartender from cheers and what makes it great is it DOESN'T have laugh track. it allows you to decide and choose when to laugh!
I was disappointed that we never saw Michael activate Janet by pressing her nose for 3 seconds. Then she would say "To activate your Janet you have to press YOUR nose for 3 seconds."
Well they probably do for like actually entering it, since the demons did question if Micheal found a way into it, but i do find it odd that Good Janets are kept not in the actual Good Place
then how come in s4 the bad placed replaced janet with the bad one and she was able to pretend to be her for a long time without anything happening to her?
Have we ever considered the good place put the good Janet's in that space to be "stolen" i mean considering their nature it's plausible they'd do it on the off chance it'd make someone happy
It's like the gag from Kevin Smith's Dogma. "Humans don't have either the aural or physical capacity to withstand the awesome power of God's true voice. Were you to hear it, your head would cave in and your heart would explode. We went through five Adams before we figured that one out."
I think they must disappear at some point, he say's they tried before. My guess is that it *temporarly* damage the body construct Janets make when taking form. Remember not a robot or a human. Entropomorphic(looking like a human) vessel(recipient) of knowledge(informations). She's basically a walking library made of light.
@@maverickcrow6252 No, Greybeards just toss humans around with voice. Funniest thing is that if you go to their place with follower he will be ok whan they speak.
In the official podcast she talks about how when she's in the lazy susan thing for the spinning around shot, apparently it takes some real ab work to avoid just falling over.
I love that even though Michael is a literal demon who spends his existence torturing people he is very gentle with Janet, fixing her tie and smoothing out her jacket with care
Michael: Janet, you and I are about to have a real adventure together Hearing this and seeing what they went through until the end, this sentence made me sad and melancholy
Its a really good show, finally a show that actually worked on its concept and writing. After a long time I can watch a show with my family without the fear of cheap jokes and completely naked people and still not be bored by the show. Its very interesting. Good job!!!
This was a very clever show, produced and written by an excellent and rare TV writer, who obviously reads books. Serious books. The audience gets to laugh and have a really good time, WHILE they are learning probably the most important concepts in their lives. Watch this series. It isn't a waste of life like so many.
Then the question becomes why would archangel Michael waste centuries torturing and testing just four human souls? Also these scenes of the bad place administration only makes sense if Michael had to infiltrate bad place undercover in order to enact this random plan. Not to mention we saw the moment he came up with the fake good place plan and it was a sudden thoughy, not some long term plan. Long answer but in short I don't think the writers could find a way to reasonably write him as archangel Michael.
The angel thing nah, the test? A 💯 possible , considering the influence of lost, the bad places could be a temporary place as Michael says in the season he can get them to the good place and doesn't object to trying to be good, it could be also a real mistake they are their and Michael is keeping them , that would explain why he says he has a ticket out for them
