I love that you put these sorts of videos up, but what I love more is that you are smiling throughout the whole video, even when things don't go to plan!! 😄

Thank you for showing the not-so-great bits! It's comforting to be reminded that even though we tend to leave those moments out, it doesn't mean they don't still happen.

I love, love, love that you'll slow down and stop in the middle of courses to gather yourself and your horse. It's so refreshing to see someone who genuinely loves their horse and their sport

I really really like these kind of videos bc they help me so much with understanding and seeing the mistakes. Sometimes I make the same mistakes and it really helps to see them on someone different and to listen to what you have to say about them. So thank you very much!! I love all your videos, I always learn loads while watching them :)

This is why I not only respect you, but love learning from you. Watching your videos and how you understand each and every horse you ride has given me better insight on how I should be doing the same with my horses. When I go to a show, sometimes I get overwhelmed when something goes wrong and it's hard for me to think. After watching this video, I think I've finally realized that things are not always going to go the way I want them to and that it's okay to take my time, collect myself, and try and finish on a positive note rather focusing on the negatives. Thank you for always inspiring me and sharing your passion for the world to see. I wish they would do a tv series on you hahaha!

Love that round where you place with Urano; he is so obviously challenging in that round and you stay so calm. Also love that you took so much time after Gabbana ploughed through that jump; it can be so tempting in a comp to just carry on but you never forget to put your horses first .

Absolutely love this video! Love the realness of it, its not all glitter and glam. You can see that you and Gabana are figuring it out together. Your comment, "I don't need any advice or comments on how to ride her, i have a trainer for that." I am so using that line for the know-it-alls at my Livery Yards. Thanks for this video.... Also, any advice on how to stop a horse from rushing to the fence?

Thanks for doing this! It’s great getting a full view and the voiceover from a show, because they definitely don’t always go as planned. You and your horses look amazing no matter what though and it is so much fun to watch!

This is brilliant!! Such a wonderful video to show a real rider. It's very fun to see the differences in all 3 horses in the same class! I can say that Gabbana is massive strided compared to the other two and having ridden a horse like that, then riding short strided, it takes a TON of time to get used to! You did great and I've been there with gross sweaty reins :D Many years ago (meaning when you were born), they had gloves that were called "Aqua Tack" They were sticky gloves for event riders and great for water fences or sweaty horses----but the downside? They stuck to themselves and the stick wore out fast because the horse hair would adhere to them. But, they were great to have :D

It was so interesting to see how these horses have such different styles and how you handle them differently. I always thought I was weird because it took me time to "jive" with different horses but it feels wrong to force a horse against it's will .... good relationships just take time. They are all so lovely :)

you are an amazing rider, super powerful lots of stamina, I'm worn out watching you ( mainly cuz I'm a fat out of shape slob) I always wanted to do what you are doing on a very small level, looks so fun, but a bit scary too those jumps are really high

Well done for putting up the not so great bits , always comforting to see , as SM shows everyone's fab bits , although, I'd like to see your horses giving a little more to your hand pressure , seems to look like your arms are being pulled out of socket a lot , maybe speak to your trainer about developing a more soft and together course experience all round , I understand your horses are young and excited , but working on transitions within transitions will help the horses wait for your direction more making a soft and more relaxed partnership overall , my flatwork was always worked on for 15 to 20 mins before I even start jumping , so much nicer and enjoyable to jump a horse that you have better connection with xx

All the courses look pretty damn good. A perfect round is almost non-existent, at least for me bc I was always trying to improve. Naiger is my fav bc I'm a sucker for the Trojan horse mane. All of them looked great, nice and spiffy!

@chelseabartlett5520

Is Naigers less than perfect technique behind due to conformation, or is it just his style? And can you teach a horse with poor form in the rear to have better technique?
@BuddysMomma5
@BuddysMomma5 5 лет назад
Bounces can help with form. And a lot of exercises to keep the hind end engaged. Raised trot poles and such. At least, I and some others have had success with that
