Long time lover of your channel. Great content. Why do you need to embed captions on your videos? Anyone who needs them can just click the "CC" tab to add captions. I imagine that the vast majority of your viewers don't need them and might find them distracting. I know I do.
Yes I understand it's not helpful to some, but overall it's been a huge positive for average watch time. I've also received feedback that it helps my overseas viewers who don't speak English as well, but can read it better. Also, when filming things like Bruno's demo, it works well for better understanding what he's saying versus his accent or lack of a close mic for volume. RU-vid close captions are terrible for Audiophiles. The brands and jargon are misspelled and just not as attractive. I don't always use these captions and they create extra work for me although AI does most of it, but they have been a net positive. I do understand though your counter argument, but just wanted to explain why others (including myself) find it overall a positive.
Note that Kii is using custom EVPs for their speakers. Hard to see, but that's our little white tent card on the floor next to the feet. Another note, and I'm told by the Kii guys is a very big deal- Bruno announced that EVPs are the only approved accessory for Kii.
The Nagra people literally apologized for the bad sound and acoustics since they didn’t had a chance to work with these speakers before. I’ve listened to the Nagra room for the last decade and this is by far the worst show they had.
It's part of the conundrum of shows. You will never hear them at their full potential and there's so many variables that can make things sound bad, so it's high risk. On the flip side, any brand not at these shows carries a stigma and misses an opportunity to show their brand to new people and engage existing customers directly. I personally think it's a bigger negative when someone is trying to pitch me a brand, but that brand never takes the risks like others to exhibit at shows. It also may indicate they are less viable of a business and have lower resale value since they aren't as well known. Also, in some cases, systems aren't strong in the type of music being played at the time, but much better with other types. I was told by someone with close knowledge of the Cessaro room that while it struggled with rock to him as well, it sounded great with classical strings.

Totally agree with you on Panzerholtz. Here in the states, its very expensive and really almost unobtainable at least in quantities for a DIY build. I agree with your viewpoint on Kaiser should feel vindicated that their approach is a good one and that anyone copying them will only be a copy. The Linkwitz is using the Panzerholtz in an Aluminum Sandwich. I saw it in Chicago at AXPONA and it looks nice. Bit of an up charge for it. I'd love to compare it w Richlite which is recycled cardboard rather than plywood and I know of a couple of other companies doing similar things. Lots of options... Outside of the cabinet, how do you feel about Active XOs vs Passive? Isn't that the new debate in terms of sound? (Or full range drivers?) 🤯
