Just wanted to say that even though I haven’t bought or spun a record in over two years now, I’ve been watching a lot of your videos lately, and you always do an awesome job. Super knowledgeable, positive, and fun to watch. And I’ve started to listen to music (on Apple Music, which is my main source of music these days) that I hadn’t in a long time thanks to you bringing them up and reminding me they exist, lol. I agree on the Rodrigo though I will still get it, but its not 1,000 copies, it says 30,000 printed on the RSD site?

DAMNIT, I didn't realize that Too $hort was an 'exclusive' I thought it was an RSD 'First', so I wasn't gonna try and get it until later. I have everything up to "Gettin it/Album Number 10", except for THAT album! (Cocktails)

To give you a comparison the Ramones Album is $75 here in Australia most albums are 3 times the price than America FFS give us a break this pricing will kill RSD in Australia 😡🤬

RSD Wesbite says there are 20,000 copies of the U2 available compared to the 1500 figure you have. Which one is correct?

Oh that's strange. I looked on a couple of other webites and they have it listed as 1500 also, but I trust the RSD website over anything else.

This is probably one of the least exciting RSD BF in a while for me. For Jazz Sabbath this version exclusively has Hole in the Sky. I pre-ordered it a month ago from their band camp. Some conflicting info: their official email says it's in mono, but is not mentioned on the rsd site. Then the rsd site says it also includes cd, but their email didn't mention a cd at all

I'm surprised by the Motle Crue being $80 as well. I mean, it's still just one album right? I could understand if it were like 3 or 4 albums in there, but dang.

That's pretty fantastic pricing, but with the exchange rate to the Australian dollar plus stores being greedy makes it unaffordable unless you're Russell Crow if you know what l mean. Cheers from. Australia.

Prices are pretty good for RSD in the US. Most store here in Australia charge $80 to $100+AU for a single, which is about $55 to $70 US 😢

I haven't wanted anything from an RSD release since like 2021 when I picked up the Tad - Inhaler and Gruntruck - Push albums. The amount of people bite on the RSD first releases are amazing since those are going to have a regular release anyhow. I look every year, and every year it just looks like a long list of re-releases. I mostly listen to stoner rock and doom metal now so those releases are already ultra limited and are never part of RSD.

I think 12 inch singles are super cool. If it’s a song I really like, I will snatch it up. I have to be careful at the record store I like to shop at. They will absolutely gouge in prices. They had a pre owned copy of 1989TV in vg+ for $35! They were charging $60 for a new tortured poets department! they seriously over-price.

Pearl Jam releases all their live albums to order on a special website. Matchbox Twenty does the same thing. Hard pass for me.

This RSD is pretty unexciting for me anyway!! The good thing is I don’t have to wake up myself up and stand in a line in freezing weather for 6 hours with a lot of old guys waiting to get that rare live recording that’s overpriced and sounds terrible Thank God!!!!!!

Theres a chain store in Australia called JB HIFI, yesterday i decided to go have a peak at how outrageous prices have gotten. I found a Best of Tina Turner album there with a price of $115 aud I then found Daft Punk RAM (that i actually bought at this exact store when it was first released for $29.95) the reissue they had was $84.99 😳 This is only 2 examples, i could show 50. Most albums there were between $59 - $89 Ive been going into this store every few months for a few years now and im seeing these albums just sit there, nobody is paying these ridiculous prices for this stuff. Imo vinyl is dead

RSD, like most things with this industry, is another thing that used to be great and now it's meh to a lot of people. I think back to years of everyone getting excited for it, exclusive releases, the tradition of waiting in line for far too long and talking to other people. You barely even needed to worry about price tags. Now what we have here is record companies gouging customers, the releases often are not even exclusive to RSD/Black Friday, and the release list itself being more and more underwhelming. They literally created this situation as this went along, "how can we ruin this cool hyped thing we do twice a year for us and the record stores?" And they have.
