Yes Sir!!!!! Bishop looked like he was ready to lay hands on that disrespectful MC. They only went 30 seconds over the limit. I can see if it was 2 or 3 minutes but 30 seconds, come on now!!! i will bet he wont try to cut another group off after the way Bishop told him off.
This is a big problem in quartet programs. All groups MUST have a clear understanding of the time they are allowed and not a second over. Someone has to monitor the time and no matter what, the music and the mics have to be disconnected from the power source if the groups go over their time. I understand that MC is a pain in the ass but he is probably under pressure to regulate the groups time.
EXACTLY! I have been in gospel groups for over 30 years and I never seen anything like that before. I have also been the co-mc of gospel events and I can tell you - that was a big NO NO. There are better ways of handling that as an mc. He already told him once - following him on stage like that and staring him down can be mistaken as if you want to fight! You don't violate a man's space like that. They can't just stop right in the middle of a song - they have to "close it out". On the other hand, the gospel legends are a professional group - they should know how to fit songs inside 15 minutes - and know how NOT to go over time when they are not the special guest. So, they should know better.
