Cool video, lots of great sounding diesels on this planet, but nothing that beats a good old non-turbo EMD 567, especially when it has open exhausts like these. T342 resembles the original EMD G8/G12/G16 series. From having one exhaust stack I would assume that T342 is a G8 (V8 engine), but it could well be a G12 with an exhaust collector instead of having 2 stacks? Who can tell me? One tip in filming, if using a fixed camera position without panning or zooming, switch to manual focus when the autofocus has focused, especially in low light conditions like the shot on the lift bridge. It prevents from going out of focus when the train moves trough the picture, I learned this after also having recordings messed up by the autofocus not doing its job properly. A very similar lift bridge can be found at Balgerhoeke on a preserved railway here in Belgium.
@@DivergentRailways What? Thats not the Goulbourn Valley. Geez nothing makes sense these days. Maybe I'll get a train going to Portland and ca it the 'High Country Express'.
