Heres a good tip, use hooks that are twice as small as the hooks your using and fish close to the bank and corn works great, and power bait also only use 8 pound test at the most! I usually use 4 or 6 pound test. Also downgrade your in-line spinner to something way smaller then yours! But only use corn if you’re going to keep them! 🔥 Keep up the good work man! 🔥 good luck!
Here in italy we go fishing trout pretty often and what I can suggest you is tu use tinier small and covert it well not like u have done cuz trout are smart and can see very well, also I can suggest u to use a float with a small hook and put "camole del miele" on it unfortunately I wasn't able to find a suitable traduction for the type of larva tu use on the float so try searching it in Italian and hopefully figure out by yourself the name of it, good luck 🤟🏼
I catch a lot of trout where I’m at because they breed on the creeks here in wv try using garlic powder mixed with American cheese it works really well for trout
Trout specific fisherman here... 1. Use very light mono line (4-6lbs...trout have excellent eyesight) 2. Use much smaller hooks than that and keep more of the hook tip exposed (excellent eyesight) 3. Use a live worm under a small float and split shot to keep the float straight up and down. Dont let your bait sit on bottom, keep it maybe 2 or 3 feet under the float but that depends on water depth 4. When using hard tackle, use small spinners and spoons with single hooks. Blue, silver, gold, pink or any combo of these are the best colours Those rubber worms do work but theyre meant for fishing in current. Trout are very smart fish and can easily tell real from fake...hence using a real worm I personally dont like powerbait, doesnt work all that well...but thats my opinion Biggest thing is to keep moving and casting in different spots. If your worm doesn't get bit within 5 mins, reel up and cast in a different spot
Not gonna lie I landed one of my PB’s on power bait, not saying I’d use it everytime because it’s messyey and the glitter in it makes you’re wife question y’all’s relationship. But from experience you really wanna use real small hoos for trout and make the ball of power bait as perfect and small as possible I like to only hide the tip of the hook pretty much almso to the bend of the hook.
Oiiiiiiii mate i have a tip for you im Australia just walk up s and say what are you using and watch a few outdoorlivnnn tic toks on what little lures he uses
Rig that Berkeley mouse tail like a drop shot with a small sinker. You can run it like a true drop shot, or add a couple inches of leader. Small hook, straight through the head, you don’t have to run it through the bend of the hook like a grub tail. Keep the line tight and just twitch it. Hope that helps
The silicon worm with the circle you where using actually caught me 2 blue catfish and 1 channel catfish and to do this you make it dance in the water so you jiggle your rod gently because inside the water the worm will dance it the water so the trout at the pond you were trying to catch will most likely mistake the bait as s real worm so yep!
Yoo i fished there in richmond!! I was there for the nascar weekend Not gunna give the exact location obviously but that place is good for channel catfish and thats about it
If the trout are fresh from the hatchery use corn, or use small sections of shrimp with a piece of corn on the hook end. They tend to hang around 1-2 feet deep and you want to be in the high traffic zone of where they tend to eat which means look for unusual ripples in the water
Fluorocarbon is a pretty big help when dealing with trout. I'd recommend 4-6lb if you're trout fishing. Also, don't be afraid to change spinners. Some trout are looking for that particular color.
Instead of that big tie on weight, try split shot weights, they hug your line more and are alot less visible, and also they allow your bait to sink slower which trout like that like
Try wasp larva. You knock down a small wasp nest. Use a cup half full of gasoline to cover the nest and all the wasps will not be able to breath. They will fall into the cup. Now you have just the nest. Pull the caps off of the larva and use them to fish with. You can catch Trout, Bass of all kinds, Crappie, Perch and many different panfish. My Grandpa used to put on his insulated coveralls, a motorcycle helmet with a scarf wrapped around his neck and welding gloves. He would just walk up to the nest and just knock it down with a stick.
Use berkly mice tails, someone named like lip ripper or something has many good videos on them and even tho he seems like a goon he definitely knows his stuff
I’ve caught some on 1/64oz jigs rigged up with 2.5” inch power bait minnows, here in midwestern stocked ponds. I’ve almost had luck on trout spinners too, mepps and panther martin make some cool ones!
Any1 have any tips on how to just catch bass like I have gone 4 times this season and haven’t caught anything and that’s not all, I caught 5 yearling bass last season, and I went many many many times, i dont know what I did wrong, I used to catch so many but now it’s just nothing it’s like I flipped a switch, I’ve used google tips, yt videos, TikTok’s, everything I could, nothing, I NEED HELP LIKE SOMEBODY TELL ME SOMETHING.
Small hook? Buddy, you gotta use 12 or 14’s for trout. I use size 16 for 10 pound steelhead. Go smaller, and cover the entire hook if you’re using play dough bait.
So wehn i Go for trout i wild use a small Hock and a normal Hock Not sircel because trout are prety Lite to Hook and nexte time buy the poweregs Not the Dow oder Just Put as much in the Hock untill only the Hock Tip eckpossedt is and only Put one powereg in the hock Sorry for my grama But i am Austria and Englisch isn,t my First langwitsche
Everybody here is talking about make your hooks smaller use this use that just use flies you can use small flies big flies change colors fast slow and everything
Salad shrimp under a bobber has done me wonders for those pesky stocked trout. Might I mention that power bait on a Carolina rig will probably always be your best bet. I just find that presentation painfully boring, and I always wanna try something different.
Here’s a tip if wherever your fishing doesn’t allow, don’t use two poles and also that disgusting play dough your using is called power bait.I know you know that I’m just saying worms and a lot of lures depending on where you live don’t work depending on where you live
At least where I am in Texas. The stick trout will not bite any kind of fake lure or trout bait ball things. However. Garlic corn. Or marshmallows are amazing
Ti 1:6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline
Here’s a tip I learned I was fishing trout with a friends dad and he said use light tackle and live bait they like the movement of natural things so throw small crayfish and a couple worms
Great try man I’ve gotten skunked at three times I’ve gone fishing this new year still haven’t got the first fish of the new years but my friend got a giant 3 pound tiger trout thing on one of Thoses mouse tail lures so just keep trying and soon you will get one I could watch this channel 24/7❤❤
You need smaller hooks aswel as get rid of the barrel swivel trout have amazeing eye sight an spook easier lighter line aswel run braided with 4 to 6 lbs leader try trout magnets they work great an hooks the perfect size
Yo ik I’m late but a good place for rainbow trout is Dogwood canyon and from my experience spinners usually work but grubs may work to but a part of it is luck cause of how picky trout is but man it’s fun to fish for them
I had the same problem beginning of this year but I used a smaller hook then I was and just a basic worm and started to get em! I think where your worms is floating is huge
Also u should go to Aurora reservoir It is near me and I don't know what kind of fishing I should do cause I can't catch a trail. I can't catch anything I can't even catch a bass and I've never caught a bass.
My favorite setup by far is a bottom fishing rig with a mouse tail smeared in garlic scent floating up however much is needed. I go barbless because they almost always swallow that rig whole.
Try whole kernel corn! It’s works for me most ever time, if not try regular night crawlers, or try your hand at learning fly fishing it’s another great way to catch trout and it’s a hell of a good time fight them on a fly rod set up
Use Canadian big worm crawlers they work and also power sit the garlic powder and a spinner which is a lure rooster tail today I got a 14 inch brown trout with rooster tail
Don’t use that bait stuff it doesn’t always work. I was using that stuff for sunfish one time and it wasn’t working, but when I switch to worms, it was like magic
Hears a tip where I’m from you use a marshmallow as a little float on the hook than use a piece of shrimp it works so we’ll biggest trout I ever caught on it was a 18 pound trout
in Netherlands this method is most used because lure fishing is for experts here and for beginners lure fishing is sometimes catching nothing for weeks
When all else fails whip out the night crawlers I seen someone recently pumping air into them after putting them on the hook so the worm will float off the bottom just a little bit I always catch stock trout on worms or flys but have never had luck with artificial
use a small piece of cut bait and a small hook and splitshot around 12 to 18 inches from your bait i figured this one out while catfishing at my local lake
Put your bait and hook at least 15 to 20 in away from the weight so it can float freely away like it's just a piece of bait floating in the and keep a tight line and look for a small tiny little wiggle it's going to be very very minut and then pick up the runt without shaking it start reeling it in slowly and see if you got something on it
Put a worm on the hook and inflate it so it will float. If the fish came from a hatchery, use some hatchery bate. The fish are hungry. They will eat the right food.
That’s as happening to me and u gotta ask then what they are using if they are landing fish all around u I did the same thing one year and it seems they wanted the bait like u got but it was a sparkly bait and it had to be at the right depth that play a lot the role in it where are u just curious I’m in northern Illinois and me and buddies would go to stocked lakes and limit out every morning
use smaller hook and smaller egg wait. also ur line looks more than 4lb. trout are line shy so u have to use 4lb or less. also fluorocarbon is the best choice bc it’s more invisible under water and sinks
Have a tipe there is trouble hooks and u wanna tie that on with a 4 pound leader and for bait use salon egs power bait like u just used. And trust me it will work.
