AAAAND ITS DONE! What was your favourite moment of the night? OH ALSO, Eurovision may be over, but you can’t get rid of me THAT easily! Turquoise Carpet Crack video soon 👀
Everything! The Eurovision is such an amazing thing, I just love how everyone showing their country pride and it's such a healthy wholesome competition ❤️ as a person who love learning about other countries and support others (because hate won't bring you anywhere! Kindness will 🫂) I love watching every single song at least 3 times and always support the countries in the competition 🙏💕 the Eurovision was so incredible this year, tho I think Noa deserve a higher place but still!!!
The insanity of juries must stop for once. How many Eurovisions have they already fucked up? Too many to count. Nobody likes them, nobody needs them. All they do is making people angry.
Kinda rude and disprecrful towards the winner. Wow, rude people in the comments being rude and they don't realise ahah that's what bullies usually think Glad that Loreen won. Beautiful song. Well deserved!
@@AshwinRamdinGermany didnt deserve to be last... they sent a unique a different song. Same with Finland. Did a unique and interesting song win? No. Your standard pop song won. What a shame. It was my first year following Eurovison and I'm from Canada and I think Sweden winning is such a disappointment.
Käärijä just arrived to Finland and the Airport was full and crazy there was probably more people than in liverpool last night. and everyone was chanting ”winner”. He really made us proud and he’s our winner❤️❤️🇫🇮😭
Whoever did this years running order deserves a reserved place in HELL. ALL my favs were ROBBED. Slovenia. Norway. Portugal. Czechia. Finland. our mother la Zarra and especially GERMANY.
@@fienvandenhaak9975 They pick first or second half, and then the producers decide in which spot in that half they'll be. Like, Austria got second place in their semi, so it was completely disrespectful to put them in first
Käärijä become a phenomenon in Finland. Even tho he ended up second the whole Finnish airport was full and still wanted to go to marketplace. Thank you so much for supporting käärijä and finland we've never caused this much buzz anywhere 💚💚💚
The amount of covers, remixes, mashups and whatnots "Cha Cha Cha" has spawned in record time (incl. from competition rivals Lord of the Lost, and I'm pretty sure I saw a darn Japanese karaoke adaptation or somesuch floating around YT a few days back) - something rather unprecedented for Finnish ESC entries - suggests to me he's that in more than just Finland. Well it _is_ mad catchy and has some truly spectacularly irrepressible energy.
.. But if you enter a competition, you have to put up with the game and realize that there are other contestants that could win and not only you! That if anything is class and humility.
@@Kindacuties You just can't be sad at losing anymore??? Of course in competitions you have to be realistic and think that you probably might not win, but losing, specially when you almost had it, is going to hurt anyways, regardless of what you want. And not everyone can fake their reactions when they feel strong emotions, so it was perfectly ok for him to be a bit down. He didn't create a fuss, he didn't insult, he didn't look with hate at Loreen or anyone else. He took it the way he could. More important than class and humility is empathy, you can be happy someone else won and understand they're probably incredibly happy, but still feel bad you didn't win.
As a spaniard I was devastated. Everyone here had been saying for the whole week that we were going to get last place because Europe doesn't understand flamenco but I still had hope that it wouldn't become true...
The only Jury vote that was surprising was Greece BETRAYING Cyprus, other than that like always the Jury ran for the opposite of what the popular vote said.
@@crumui or maybe bc Andrew is Australian. When cyprus sent greek or Cypriot artists they gave us 12p...now they gave us 4...but nvm...it's just the stupid jury vote...Greek ppl gave us the 12p
Greek media is tearing their jury a new one over this lol. They were named and shamed first thing this morning. Watch Greece lead the movement to abolish the jury despite not having given their 12 to Sweden 🤣
Over 300 points from the jury is just way too much. There was literally no chance for orhers. But never have I ever heard the crowd going so insane in Eurovision, it says it all! 💚💚
@@susannaeriksson1319 she came second in the televote, but it wasn't close. Käärijä got 133 more televote points than her, which is a lot. And we also gotta consider the fact that this is Loreen, a eurovision legend that would receive votes simply for being Loreen. We also saw this with Alexander Rybak in 2018, who did fairly well despite having a bad song (he even won his semi). And still, 340 points from the jury gave her way too much of a lead for anyone to have a realistic chance, regardless of who's favored and not...
@@susannaeriksson1319 Käärijä got 12pts from the public 18 times and Loreen got 12pts from the public 0 times. That shows Käärijä might even have got 5 times the votes Loreen had or even more than that. U see if in some country 10 million people vote finland and 1 million vote Loreen and the rest get less, Loreen would still get 10pts from that and Käärijä 12pts. Now how is that fair at all. The results of eurovision has never been this wrong
i am so sad for käärijä. like i would accept it if he didn't get this upset. he blames himself too much when he literally got the second best televote result in history. he deserves the world. our winner.
fr. He's been under a lot of pressure after winning UMK. So many thought that he won't do well because he's singing in Finnish and his song is basically a drinking song(or at least here in Finland it's mentally connected to youngsters and alcohol). He did so well though.
@@fedsavi Ukraine last year, but we know they would not have gotten such a landslide without a certain situation. So if we don't count it, then Finland (and Portugal 2016) has the most televote points.

I can convince the most beautiful part of the evening for every finn was when the whole crowd were chanting ”cha cha cha” i literally cried. And ofc when he got so many televote points
Zarra's middle finger, Voyager eating bread, Kaarija, Bejbah, Kaarija and Bojan's bromance, Loreen's sandwich stage, Loreen and Kaarija hilarious "rivalry", Luka's "Game over, bitch"...I could go on an on, we have really been blessed this year in terms of memes
No. The public vote is the problem, because they won't vote for the best singer, but the most flamboyant and catchy performance. Last year the public gave the win to Ukraine, because of sympathy. The UK was robbed. Luckily this year the public vote didn't rob the better singer again. Thank God.
Dunno, I find it kinda sad when one person seems to only live for performing at the eurovision. She's won now twice and tried to enter another two times, within 13 years. Like, get a life please.
@@AshwinRamdin Agreed. This should be talked about more! Finlands song was catchy and fun but it was most definitely not winning material.Loreen's song however was beautiful with amazing vocals.Loreen was also 2nd in public votes so its a well deserved win!
@@emabosnjak4279 not only Loreens vocals were good. Many performances were amazing, and even better considering it wasn't her best day. Let's not make it all about the jury having "taste". Come on. Some chose Finland too. Some chose Israel and it was generic plus worse than, say, Norway vocally. And so on.
I wasn't surprised by Spain not getting more points. It was very, VERY Spanish, which was difficult to get into for the others. Personally I was most shocked by Germany's low point count. An absolute criminal act that. At least Finland gave them 5 points, but one would expect even 12. Meanwhile Finland stole the show and made Sweden pay for the next years event. Genious.
Spain was absolute style and talent, maybe not the most accessible for everyone but downright amazing to me. Germany's act was a bit chaotic, but last place really should have been the hot mess of the UK. They really didn't make any effort once again.
@@hydrocharis1 funny thing is as well we butchered any small chance we had when we just blasted the music right over her so she couldn't even hear herself 🤣. Love that we are the hosting country, and we fuck up our own song😅
I really do think something about the juries must change... I feel both very sad for Käärijä and Loreen. You could see how shattered Käärijä was because even though he scored the 2nd best televote result of all time it wasn't enough to win. And Loreen saw by the audiences reaction that Käärijä was the majority's favourite and she went from one of the most beloved winners to this... (though its not her fault that the jury's and public opinions are so different) Btw did anyone else have the impression that so many people left the hall before she performed as a winner? At least the front part looked half empty to me.
@@AshwinRamdin dude you're desulional. I see you in every other comment saying that and it's literally ridiculous. Get off your high horse
dont get me wrong, i loved sweeden, i just think she was a lil over hyped. justice for armenia and finland 🙏🙏🙏 edit: forgot to mention austria, the absolute QUEENS.
I loved both Loreen and Käärijä, but I understand people being upset. I don't think getting rid of the jury votes is the best idea, but I do think things must change (percentages, fighting corruption, diversifying the jury...). Also, I 've seen people saying previous winners have an advantage... Well, Lena and Alexander didn't do great when they returned, so... Anyways. Spain was robbed.
In finland 25% is jury and 75% is voters to choose eurovision song from our country I think that percentage would be alright for eurovision itself too.
Jury votes have always been shady. We don't know who they are and what their criteria is. It's not transparent. If what makes Eurovision seem like a shady music contest (because it sadly is) is the jury voting, it should be gone.
Honestly the jury just seems to be licking Swedens feet these last 8 years at least. Ridiculous the amount of points they got from them compared to televotes.
@@lucyamerioun9544 wow, one year where they weren't massively overrated by the jury, miracle. Meanwhile they are the only ones to have been winners due to the jury and not the public, wonder why. Sweden could send someone farting and be top 3 with the juries at this point
@@juliesentman4029 My jaw doesn't drop in finals since I watch semis, but there were many decent songs in final. IMO the main problem is just genre and which people prefer, rather than genuinely terrible songs. I can imagine pop lovers to be not excited about ballads or metal and vice versa. IMO this year was very solid if you wanted solid performances with great genre diversity, but voting was very brutal as result. Many other years had much less solid performances and much less genres. The only thing that this year lacked is crazy/comical songs. Only Let 3 had it. I wanted to see Serduchka feat Dustin the Turkey for lolz even as interval act.
Loreen winning again is even more ironic after the whole speech from Björn Ulvaeus about how "eurovision can change the winner's lives and give them great success and fame like ABBA". And then someone who already has gotten A LOT of fame and success wins again? As a Swede, even I am disappointed in this outcome. Käärija deserved the win so so much more and it breaks my heart to see his reaction.
What a nice coincedence that Sweden will host 50 years after ABBA's victory. And what a coincedence that the juries were so obsessed with Sweden this year. And what a coincedence that the juries were banned from the semi-finals because of serious corruption allegations. So many coincedences...
Tell me it wasn't all made so Sweden could host next year in which Abba won 50 years ago and make a whole big deal out of it. This whole jury voting felt so fake.
This ESC had only great songs (except a couple, but even that comes down to personal taste), it was so hard to see Spain receive 5 points from the public SHE WAS ROBBED
I don't even know how to explain how me and my boyfriend felt when Spain got 5 points. So many years trying to get Spanish people to believe in Eurovision again, only to see a creative and competent performer being treated this way internationally. I don't think artists will be as willing to participate in out preselection next year either.
Eurovision has always been a bit of a career k!ller for Spain and this will only solidify it :( I wasn’t super fan of eaea at the beggining but it grew on me, makes me sad that this much talent and passion was wasted :(
Yeah Spain and Germany were robbed this year especially considering that the juries are supposed to vote on 1) Vocal performance 2) Performance on stage 3) Creativity These 3 nation knocked it out of the park in these 3 aspect yet they got screwed over
It was one of my favourite performances this year, strong and beautiful, but that's unfortunately not a Eurovision format and hence had no chance to win
the running order did them SO dirty, i think a lot of people usually miss the first few acts. also it's a song with layers that aren't necessarily apparent on the first listen without some context and a lot of people only listen to ESC songs once on the night of the performance! even with those things considered though i wasn't expecting it to score THAT low, that was a criminal score
Yeah, super sad. But I actually think their performance on the night wasn't the best. Add that to the running order, and the way the meaning in the song isn't super clear and yeah... not so surprised, but I was still very upset with only 16 points.
When everyone shouted Käärija and Cha Cha Cha, there was sooo much love in the air, I felt it at home on the sofa. He really deserved it and I am so sad because now he feels bad and Loreen too, because she knows, how much the people love Käärijä 💔
A striking Viking song (lol) in the form of Queen of Kings and a brilliant satire on the music industry with Who the hell is Edgar (a literal ghost writer!)- two opposite spectrums of songs, the first a rousing, emotional and spectacular paean to women and the second a quirky, clever, Thomas Dolby like rave track, both songs should have done much better than they did, but hey, that's showbiz. I'm not normally bothered about Eurovision but I just heard these two songs on YT shorts and blimey are they are both brill.
At our Eurovision party everyone had Finland as number 1 and Germany as number 2. The fact that Germany got last place is insane to me! (I guess the genre isn't for everyone..)
BS, if Lordi can win. Glad we rejected mediocrity and horrible costumes. It's becoming a freak show, trying to hostage other hoping for a win. It should not be about the most flamboyant outfit and sing, but about the best song/singer. The only country worse was Croatia with their horrible underwear.
I think the main problem with germany was, that every person who liked Germany liked Finland aswell. But I think a lot of them knew that its gonna be Sweden - Finland so they voted Finland instead of GERMANYNN
While I do like Loreen and i did very much enjoy her perfomance I didnt think it was 163 point difference to 2nd place good. Cha Cha Cha was such a crowd favorite the way it was even shouted during the point counts so seeing it lose made it kinda feel like the show ended up going against the whole United by Music theme and the people's choice lost
@@astrovisionbroadcastingunion I literally said that i enjoyed Loreen's performance, this has nothing to do with me not liking it and all about the unsatisfying way the win happened

Glad France got shafted. Classless lady. Send her back where she came from. Cyprus deserved more, but Finland did not sing better than Sweden. The performance was catch and more energetic, but the singing was way better from Loreen.
@@MarkHoulihan5 It sure was. I just couldn't get behind shouting EAEAEA all the time. It wasn't Croatia with their trollfest style either, so that's a strong fail to me. I can’t watch that moment when Loreen wins. I always start crying thinking how good chance we had which is very rare. Thank you so much for supporting and voting for Finland love youu!!🇫🇮❤️❤️
Finland is my winner. The moment where everyone was chanting "Cha Cha Cha" before Loreen's public vote was announced is a moment I'll remember for a long time. Käärijä really won our hearts. Nonetheless, no hate to Loreen, at least not from me haha. She was one of my faves from this year too, the entire Top 3 were some of my favorites, so this year was a pretty nice one for me

@@feathers8233 Ey der Jury Vote war so rigged. Ich liebe Loreen und sie ist eine verdammt gute Sängerin aber der Song wird allein von ihrer Performance getragen, als Lied gesehen hat der nicht wirklich viel zu bieten.
Over 300 points from the juries is WAYYY too high imo. Something must change there. It’s incredible that Finland almost managed to win without the help from the juries
Sweden always gets way too much votes from the jury Spain gets barely any, it's not fair honestly you already know which countries before are going to be in the bottom side unless they have a huge song
Käärijä won the most important thing and he united people so much in Finland and in Europe. Thank you so much for voting for him, we will remember this esc year forever and this feels like a win for us.❤️
I really believe that eurovision should not let past winners compete. Just invite them on the show im sure they would get more fans the same way, if that makes any sense at all.
I don't think past winners competing again is a major issue, I think the jury votes should be gone, this now meant a small handful of people decided one winner over the other. Finland got almost twice as many points from the public, but bc maybe 4 or 5 people per country thought Sweden was better Finland didn't win. That's a much larger issue than competing again I think. (think of Rybak or Lena something)
Germany being last place again is really sad. They were awesome. But I'm happy that Lord of the Lost are touring with Iron Maiden again this year (they requested them for the 2nd time) and play on big stages for people who really appreciate their music.
honestly from all the songs only Austria and Czechia are the ones I'm listening to since 3 weeks. They deserved much better! I'm glad Austria is doing well in streaming charts now
It's mainly the Jury votes that are the problem, because of friends politics. And if they made voting free, more people would vote and we'd get fairer results.
@@skylarmercykilled1986 Yeah, but in the case of Spain most of the points where from the jury, we just got 5 from the public. But Portugal and France got screwed over both ways 😭.

Just to clear some things up. It really isn't Sweden nor Loreen's fault that they won. We shouldn't blame Loreen or Sweden just because it was the juries that caused Tattoo to win. The one's we should blame is the juries. It honestly breaks my heart seeing all the hate Loreen and Sweden is getting because of the juries. Finland will always be the public's winner and we all know that. But we still shouldn't blame Sweden for winning. Edit: I genuinely thought this comment would get more hate then it actually got. Thank you
I mean Loreen's participation also wasn't the cooles decision. Stealing the show light from smaller newer artists as someone that is this legendary is just uncool in my opinion. She should have known better. I blame her for that
Thank you. I mean, we gave Finland our points... I feel sorry for Käärijä but still proud of Loreen. He gave us energy, she gave us goosebumps? Of course speaking for every Swede.
Kaarija is the Verka of 2023. Hope to see him again though in a future Eurovision. He really did put an effort to have fun and befriend the other contestants. He may not have won the competition but won so many hearts. And congrats to Loreen for being the first female to win twice!!!
I'm being salty about 2 facts: 1. So many contestants were robbed bcuz of unfavourable running order 2. Voters from my country gave 12 point to Bejba 🥲 I understand that Poland is a big friend of Ukraine but NOTHING can justify giving 12 points to Bejba and 10 points to Finland. Such a shame
I'm from Poland and I totally understand your opinion. Of course U can't avoid politics even in such song contest but come on...in Poland her "BEJBA' is a meme since she won the pre-selections in Februrary in a clearly dishonest way. And everything was organised by TVP (Telewizja Polska) - a broadcaster with close ties to our government. Polish voters want Jann and his song "Gladiator". Polish eurovision fans wanted her to resign - but well not everyone is so honorable as Alina Pash last year
Nice gesture from Luke! Me and my friends were talking about how there should be a rule that a winner could not participate again...My favorite was not Kaarja but he was so loved....My favorites were Norway, France, Spain and Italy and just Marco and Alessandra got close to the podium..
Also I forgot to add, we can choose our own winner. From Eurovision 2022, the winner for me is RosaLyn from Armenia, I am hearing her song once a day at least at radio, while l never heard from everyone else from the top ever again.
I'm Finnish with Swedish heritage and loved both Loreen and Käärijä but oh my GOD that was too close Also the clip of Jere saying "but I wasn't the best though" backstage BABY EUROPE LOVED YOUUU
I mean: Sweeden won with ABBAs Waterloo in 1974. They had one of the members of ABBA in the show. They listed the countries with most wins, with Sweeden being 2nd there. In 2024 it is the 50th anniversary of ABBA winning, so it's only LOGICAL that Sweeden would go for the win completely. So solution? Send a past winner, Europe will love them right? Call me bitter or whatever but this feels all too calculated....
I can not believe that I did not see Luke running to Käärijä 😢 THAT IS SO SWEET! What a amazing guy! ❤ And I think that we had amazing songs this year. Norway and Italy were my favorite! And Finlands song was really fun! But I just found this system so sad... Sweden got douple of the points of the second singer. And she was not really bad bad, but that was just too much. It felt wrong. In the end it was not fair to Käärijä or to Loreen.

I feel so happy and sad at the same time while reading these comments. Thank you for supporting our Käärijä💚 You don’t know how much it means to us or him, it has been heartbreaking to see Käärijä blaming himself from not winning. Personally, Loreen didn’t seem too grateful for her second win even at the winner’s panel. (Understand why though) On top of that I didn’t feel so good about her song after founding out the plagiarism complaints as well as the basic performance for Tattoo. Now keep in mind that I do not know her or her background as an artist and therefore can’t hate her nor her team from what I’ve seen. However I’ll continue looking for new posts about this- Can’t deny either that Tattoo wasn’t a enjoyable song
Im disappointed that portugal didnt got top 10 but honestly after mimicat saying she honestly didnt really cared about the position because she was already too stunned and too suprised to even get the chance to enter something as big as eurovision AND qualifying to the final... For those who dont know, she was the only contestant who self applied to the national selection and she managed to win agaisnt nationally well known names without no one even knowing her name, she was undergroud artist and she feels really really really thankful to even get that close to something as big as that. This will open her a lot more opportunities nationally and was a huge step and a very good experience for her as an artist. Honestly i wish her the best, i will definitely keep up with her music ❤
Finland's jury score, Spain's public score, and Germany's last place are three of the greatest crimes in Eurovision tbh. Great year though. Nobody truly deserved a low spot but I guess it had to be someone. 😢 At least we get queen Petra back next year 🎉
Unpopular Opinion : Am I the only one who lost their shit when I saw the Eurovision LEGEND Verka Serduchka? The crowd was so silent and I was honestly hoping for more.
Not sure if this would work but I really think every country should have a point awarded from 1 point to 26 points in the final to give a true reflection of their actual place in the competition. The way things are now you could be every countries 11th favourite song and not get one single point and end up at the bottom of the leaderboard which isn’t actually the case. Everyone getting a score would give a true reflection of how they performed.
@@onomatopoetisk Really? But other metal songs were a lot more fine to them? People even go watch Rammstein and other stuff. Growling isn't a problem. Aussies also had similarish performance, but got more points.

This year's Eurovision is the best yet I cannot fully recover from the voting part 😭. All my favorites were robbed especially Spain, Serbia, and Austria 😭
how does the public vote work? because I voted for Germany, Slovenia, France, Portugal, Israel, Moldova, Austria, Armenia and 3 TIMES for Finland so what were those scores???? i'm so upset with the jury, they actually messed everything up, voting for the safest song. not saying loreen is not an amazing singer & performer cause she is, but karijaa's song was different and better, the vibes were immaculate, the staging was amazinggg, dancers were stunning and everything looked perfect. karijaa carried this final but then he was robbed........ disappointing. he's my winner though
I really had a small hope that Käärija wins. But with this televote he is already on the same legend level like Verka Serduchka 😆 King of my heart. 💚 Voyager were favorite number 2 on my list and I was so surprised they got so many points from the juries but just 21 from the public. Still I am happy for them. :) And well my third favorite... I am german liking my own country this year. After this I just cried for half an hour. I really liked that song, voted for them in the national selection followed their journey, loved every cover they made from the other songs to appreciate the artists... and I really started to dream about a Top 20 result. I think I could even live with a 25th place. But that Playback got more points than them... You made me a little bit happy writing they don't deserve the last place ❤ However they still gained many new fans, have many sold out concerts and will go their way 😁 It is just... I am really worried that Germany will withdraw. I can easily live if they decide to get out of the Big5 and pump that saved money into the staging or the selection process. But withdrawing. I have the feeling we are on the right track (even being last we got this year more points than in 2021 and 2022 together). NOW withdrawing would really destroy many german fans here. However thank you for this lovely video. 😊❤
What no snippet of Loreen being absolute _not_ being ein the mood for a second go round? I loved how done she sounded when she started her song the second time. I don't blame her, that shit looks exhausting and I'm sure a 'meditational state' doesn't help🤣 And that is why the edibles are for the afterparty, kids 😏
I mean, they knew the jury votes in advance, because the juries voted earlier, so it makes sense for the host to focus on the more or less predetermined winner. Still bs tho
Un-hot takes 1. Käärijä won for me idgaf 2. Brunette is obsessed with goo, I decide to be goo do goo look goo 3. Serbia wasn't that great for top 15 but holy shit this is straight up robbery 4. I can’t believe Luxembourg 🇱🇺 are joining. That’s great, I hope Australia 🇦🇺 will continue. I’m not sure if they will. I was so happy for Voyager, I didn’t even think they’ll get in the top 10. 😁 I was so happy, sorry for Germany 🇩🇪, I think this year had so many strong songs in the final. I wasn’t too sure I was going to enjoy this year, it’s been so great. Now Loreen is the first female artist to win twice and the second after legend Johnny Logan. Now Sweden 🇸🇪 and Ireland 🇮🇪 are tied on most wins. I think Sweden will over take the wins.
Wait what? There will be Lux in next Eurovision? Sounds cool as hell, but they really shouldn't take notes from San Marino and their tendency to send the nastiest pervy songs about how much horny they are.
As an Australian Eurovision fan (It is huge here! Many of us grew up watching it) We know we'll never win it, but placing in the top 10 is huge, so glad Voyager received so much love! I feel bad for Austria, loved their song & concept, but performing first is tough :(
