The Great Chamber & Peekaboo Canyon ATV Loop 

This is a fantastic family excursion - we used Expedition Kanab to book a 4-hour ATV-tour through the Grand Staircase Escalante region - first stop, THE GREAT CHAMBER, a remote "cave" cut by the whims o nature into the edge of a sandstone butte. The scale can only be appreciated when you enter this mesmerizing place. The "hike" is only a 1/4-mile with 200 ft. of elevation gain (1/2-mile round trip). 2nd stop at Peekaboo Slot Canyon, where you can enjoy the narrow canyon walls, with logs stuck high above you head as a reminder of past flash floods that have carved out this wonderful space. Enjoy the shade and cool breezes. The hike is again, only about 1/2-mile round trip. I would absolutely recommend using Expedition Kanab or other available local guide services, as the locations are remote and unsigned, and the roads are very sandy and require high-clearance 4x4.
