Only 160 views is criminal, I’ve been watching the series as a comfort youtube video the past few days. Just letting you know I’ve loved them, keep it up these are great.

Came here after the Pikmin 2 translation video and enjoyed this trip through a forgotten era of the internet. You presented this so well - very entertaining dialogue and it's explained well enough that even someone who barely played this game would understand. The part about robbing the pizza shop sent me. I actually only played Club Penguin for a short amount of time. My preferred MMO growing up was Pixie Hollow, which I played near completely from it's very basic, non-explorable conception to it's closure in 2013, minus the occasional break period. That said, I did take up playing this game after I randomly got a 3 month membership card one Christmas towards the end of the time period you're talking about (I think either 2011 or 2012), so I still definitely have fond memories of this goofy thing. Casual MMOs are a very beloved part of my childhood. It's honestly a shame only the super high budget RPGs like WoW and FFXIV are still running. I really miss this genre of games. Side note: Are you aware of Club Penguin Rewritten? It's a fan-run playable archive of the original game after it closed down. I don't know too much of the details on it, but if this series is anything to go by it sounds like something you'd definitely enjoy.

Hey, glad you enjoyed the videos! I feel you so much on the casual MMO thing. I'm not into MMOs that much cus they're so much commitment ^^; but I would kill for another chill one. I am aware of Club Penguin Rewritten and played it a bit before! Sadly Disney shut it down a while back.

@@unmeltabledjdkrnrjdjsnd9317 What? Oh I didn't know that part, that's so sad... I always wondered why Pixie Hollow never got one despite fan attempts very early on, but that would likely explain why. So disappointing...

So I just got news from my sibling that's oddly relevant to the topic of casual MMOs: Apparently JumpStart (the company) got into a massive lawsuit over data breaches on Neopets (which they bought off Viacom around 2014-2015 and then proceeded to flagrantly ignore, letting it slowly waste away). Because of this, many of their MMOs are suddenly closing down to reimburse the legal fees. One of these games is School of Dragons, a 3D downloadable game (don't worry, it's low size) based on the Dreamworks' version of How to Train Your Dragon with edutainment elements. After managing to somehow stay alive for over a decade, the staff have to suddenly close it against their wishes due to the mistakes of their parent company. Right now, the game is in its "MMO closing crazy openness" period. Prices are heavily slashed to the point of being around 1/20th what they previously were, experience gain has been boosted through the roof so you don't have to grind, and they're even giving everyone access to Toothless and the Light Fury (both usually only a member bonus) for free. The game closes in about 10 days on the 30th. I've never played this game before, but I've overlooked "Boo" (my sibling) playing it occasionally and it looks like a ton of fun. I'm honestly thinking of joining and convincing a few friends to come with me for the wild ride of the game's last hoorah. On the bright side, it looks like the same team behind Club Penguin and Toon Town Rewritten is looking to preserve the game. Given the state of the parent company, hopefully they'll be less likely to be forced to take it down. I know this is a bit sudden and random, but I felt it was something you might be interested in checking out for the very brief time the game has left.
