Not only do I love when the sisters are rescued and reunited in mk2 and Rebirth 2, I also love it in the anime as well, just a good, cute, wholesome and downright adorable moment all around.

I'm honestly neutral on both versions, though if this game gets the re★Verse treatment, I would personally have this scene be a fusion of both with my own small touches. 1st: bring back the tired voices of mk2 to verbally show that the CPUs were exahusted from being restrained and likely drained of their power for three whole years. 2nd: restore Blanc's nuturing line from the OG because I agree it's better. 3rd: keep Noire's line from Re;Birth2, only add in Noire finally telling Uni that she's proud of her because GODS, does Uni deserve that. 4th: give the sisters CG art of them hugging like Neptune and Nepgear got. Finally: I don't mind Purple Heart calling Nepgear Nep Jr. in the remake, it could just be Neptune trying to assure Nepgear that yes, I am your big sister and you did save me. Other than that, bring back the same dialogue from mk2 because I also agree that was better. (Side Note: if Victory also gets the re★Verse treatment, I hope they drop the Nepgear gets relentlessly bullied thing and revert Neptune to being the loving big sister she actually is, despite failing to consistently show that. Maybe make Neptune a little overprotective of Nepgear when she arrives in Ultradimension because, for Neptune, it's been years since she saw her sister and she doesn't want them to be torn apart again. After all, she promised Nepgear in this game they'd always be together, so maybe Neptune sees getting pulled into Ultradimension as her breaking that promise, even though it wasn't her fault.)

Personally I don’t mind either version of the scene, but I have a feeling that Blanc’s part is worse in the remake mostly due to how the series has handled her voice direction. In JP, blanc has always been soft spoken, but extremely loud and energetic when angry and *only* when angry. This used to be the case in EN too, however over the years blanc’s soft spoken-ness was completely eroded to the point where it’s like she’s her angry personality all the time. But it can also be the case that they didn’t want White Heart in that scene to sound more like the soft spoken blanc because she was transformed, in which her voice is always rougher and more energetic/angry. I will say though, noire’s scene in the remake is better than the OG, cus in the OG she sounds so bored and even more ignoring of her sister’s feelings, the latter she has been criticized by fans for doing even to this day in SVS. Can’t say much for nep tho, but I will say it’s possible after being tired for so long her Nep personality started to bleed into purple’s. That or, to her and nepgear, it’s more significant that she would refer to her as Nep jr, something Neptune and *only* neptune does. It immediately lets Nepgear know that yes, this is indeed my sister. I managed to save her. Maybe it’s less emotional, but it’s more impactful when thinking about it through that lens.

If Nepqueen's theory about the Mascots is accurate, that would line up with something I wrote in a fanfiction I wrote not long ago that served as an excuse to give the Candidates their version of the Next Forms. Also I completely forgot that scene with the Mascots was a thing. I feel like it should've been the other Oracles.

Just imagine: a canon timeskip that's actually relevant to the plot (as opposed to the usual "Yeah, we _say_ it's been several years since the last game, but let's be honest, so little has changed that it might as well take place the very next day."). Yes, I'm serious. And of course, imagine new designs for the characters to show the passage of time. New clothes, new hairstyles, and returning characters looking slightly older. Yes, even the CPUs. I was thinking that Rom and Ram would look Nep and Blanc's "age", Nep and Blanc would look Gear and Uni's "age", Gear and Uni would look Noire's "age", Noire would look Vert's "age", and Vert would look... well, I was going to say Arfoire's "age", but that might be pushing it. XD I'm aware that CPUs supposedly don't age, but 1) Neptune has mentioned on several occasions that Nepgear looked significantly younger when she was born than she does now, indicating that they do age at least a little, and 2) I'm sure the writers could find a way to retcon that. As for what the story would be that would neccessitate such a timeskip? I think it's time for the Candidates to graduate to being CPUs proper. The game would open with the nations preparing for the upcoming ceremonies, but then some villain attacks, the CPUs and Candidates go on an adventure to stop them, and the Candidates spend the game proving that they've matured and have what it takes, and then the ceremonies would take place during the True Ending. *2. (**2:22**)* Fun fact: Hyper!Histy is canonically taller than Peashy (117 cm/3'10" vs 111 cm/3'08"). *3. (Theory time)* An interesting theory. 🤔 And Uranus does prove that CPUs can become "ghosts", for lack of a better term. Hmm... *4.* If I remember correctly, in mk2's version of the Nepgear/Compa event, Compa talks about how you can use medicines and such to kill people and make it look like an accident, and the fact that Compa is able to say such things with a smile on her face makes Nepgear uncomfortable. *5.* So after everything we went through to get the mascots, after how the first two chapters went out of their way to make the mascots seem super important... Literally _the_ only thing they _ever_ do is give Nepgear a new processor set, followed by them peacing out and _never_ being seen or mentioned _ever_ again. Was there some further plot involving them that got cut during development, or something? 'cause as it, you could honestly erase them from the story completely, and very little would need to change. 🤨 *4. (Nepgear and Neptune's reunion)* My personal number one favorite scene in the _entire series,_ no competition. Nepgear crying, Purple Heart hugging her and promising that they'll never be apart again... Chef's kiss. And then _Victory_ happened, especially its "Good" Ending, and - to quote a certain Australian video game reviewer - "THERE IS NO MIDDLE FINGER BIG ENOUGH!" And yeah, agree with what you said about mk2 vs R;B2. It feels like, during the Re;Birth era, the writers for the English translation failed to grasp that Neptune, _especially_ when she's Purple Heart, isn't always "on", making references and cracking jokes 24/7. She _can_ act serious and responsible when the scene calls for it, which this scene definitely does. *5. (**49:05**)* Considering what I said about Vert in the previous episode, the only proper response is "Thank God".

As someone who recently got into This series for a couple of months and has been watching all these episodes up to this point, seeing how they messed up the reunion scene in Re;rebirth 2 honest makes me upset and makes me think "Why the heck they didn't just reuse the audio from the original mk 2?" So yeah I agree with you NepQueen 100%, I think the original did it x10 better.

I’ll have to get back with you on that since I’ve personally never played MK. II and I have a physical copy of said game. Just to play it and see how it feels compared to the remake/ReBirth version of the 2nd

I've got to say, the Purple Heart color scheme works better on Nepgear than the white on her old processor unit. But I prefer the design of the original.

I do wonder if the scenes in this game and the original were also re-voiced in the Japanese version of the games. Part of it at least in the English release maybe was the original being localized by NIS America while the remake being done by IFI.

To be honest the reunited scene is most touching when i play the MK2 in Japanese Dub,but I don't know both of the performance English Dub of the two game because every time i play Neptunia game i always use Japanese Dub, it's not because i hate English dub i just feel comfortable in JPN Dub Is just my opinion though

Speaking of the “good girl” line I’ve also noticed over the years that Purple Heart is slowly evolving into Neptune. Like Vert’s sister complex, while it can be a very refreshing and charming contrast to her initial image I can tell that it’s gonna be normalised as time goes on to the point where it’s gonna stop being special. TANGENT ALERT: Honestly the more I think about this series as a whole (as I’m now almost as familiar with it as I am with Mario at this point), the more I can’t help but feel there’s countless wasted potential (lore and consistency wise) to the point where the ReBirth trilogy might as well be proper re-rebirthed if done right (again, mostly story-wise). That said, my fondest memories peak at VII (I just wish I could play it again but blind!), the anime and of all things the Sega Hard Girls spin-off which is ironic considering the latter is probably more forgettable due to it being the very last game one is gonna associate with Noire, Blanc and Vert.
