@@TheUltimateRecycler One of the big benefits to modern technology is the videos you make. Now you have a moving record of the items that will go for scrap, but you can still revisit them when you want. More detailed that photographs, and with the audio you can record your feeling on the items as you go.

Yep, farm clearing sales are probably the best and most efficient way of liquidating stuff for good returns and having the place cleaned up at the same time! I've been going to clearing auctions most of my life and it always amazes me what some people will buy!! Covid changed all that though and they just don't hold sales like they used to - plus we don't have enough value to warrant an auction. Hopefully I can get it cleaned up mostly online!

@@TheUltimateRecycler I thought bugger covid is going to kill my relos auction ...as it was online bidding auction due to covid. It turned out a bonus with bidding online only as people from all over Aus went crazy on every item. The junk they didn't want all sold for insane amounts. Well above upto 10 or 15x above what they estimated & hoped for. They were so happy just to get everything cleared out after nearly 5 years shifting the rest of the good stuff to the new property. The scraps only 15c to 30c atm for insize. So you might struggle to get a bin dropped to fill up. It's heavy stuff so that helps your chances. I'd definitely borrow or just buy a front end loader equipped tractor. It will be worth its weight when moving all that heavy dangerous stuff around or loading & cleaning up. You can always easily sell it again when the job is done. I've done a few property clean-ups in my life & the front end loader or a bobcat makes it happen so much easier. Iam assuming there's no front end loader equipped decent size tractor.... I missed in the walk around. Sturdy tractor Bucket & a set of forks honestly a man's best friend on the farm. Must have minimum on farm junk clean-up missions. Check my channel for a peak of the junk I've cleared out. Cheers 👍

It's a very wet year for farming almost everywhere Jennifer - and the forecast for the rest of the year doesn't look good for the crops unfortunately. The farm is fine as far as flooding is concerned as it's on mostly high ground with no threatening rivers nearby. We've had flooding around Nagambie which my next vid addresses.

@@TheUltimateRecycler glad your parents are not facing the stress of the flooding of their home and surrounding land. Thank you for the update on the floods in your area. So much damage, so sad.

To cater for local buyers really. Anything of low value but better than scrap probably has more chance of selling to a nearby farmer via facebook groups I think.

@@TheUltimateRecycler its all in how you word the listing. You never know until you put it up. Some of the stuff I've put up thinking the same all sold in the end some in week some took months but suddenly they took off with interest & sold to people on opposite side of vic far as the top of NSW.
