To the creator of this phenomenal musical work. You have done an incredible job with the selection and seamless editing of the tracks. The visuals are so nostalgic. Todays music has taken a shit and is almost intolerable.I enjoy classic rock and 80's music (I mean, come on it was the best generation) And I pretty much have substituted it for video game music So thank you for your effort on these two pieces. You should apply your skills to the Zelda world of music. I think many would love to hear that.
Thanks a lot nice to hear that:) I'm also a big 80's fan and i like Zelda as well. Definitely worth to check this out in the future. But first i will finish (soon) my next FF medley...
What a great medley to wake up to!!! Thanks you for the boost of positivity! Any idea when will be your next one with music from 13, 13-2, LR, 14, and 15? Maybe even Type-0?
This is GORGEOUS. I picture medleys all the time and this is perfection. wLasky is it true you composed all of this yourself based on the individual tracks? so this isn't just taken from the games? If so, what did you use for this?? I'm trying to get into music myself with a keyboard and curious how you did all this.. Absolutely masterful!
Thank you! The base for this are midi files of the tracks to get control about every single note. These are floating around the internet since decades. If not available i used piano sheet music like for the FFX-2 Ending Theme. DAW was Sonar 6 for the first medley and Ableton for this and the FF7 medley. The sound mostly comes from software instruments like the EastWest or Garritan Sounds. For some stuff i also used my own digital piano, like the "Farm Boy" in the FF7 medley. Sometimes I even used the Traktor dj software to check transitions with the original mp3's. Almost most work was the preparation. For the FF7 medley i think i planned every transition from start to finish with traktor and excel before opening "Live" the first time.
@@wLasky This makes it even more impressive in my opinion. Not "just" a bunch of tracks put together (with great transitions, I have to say), but an impressive artistic work. I cannot just imagine how many hours you invested in that. And what about the choice and editing of in-game videos to make this even better. "Take a bow, son!"
@@ascenderpastel5151 I recalled their names. They were initially baddies in Final Fantasy IV. I guess it's been so long since I played FFX that I forgot they were in the game!
@@poindexterflex3528 they're actually optionnal, they require you to have every other summons and beat belgemine's (or whatever she's called) versions of every of them, in a location near the calm lands
Wow... that Man With The Machine Gun - Fight With Seymour combination... I always liked a lot both these tracks, but never had any gut feeling about their similarity.
ty for these medleys, ueamatsu's masterpieces were an amazing thing to be able to experience in our time, sometimes there is nothing more relaxing or inspiring to listen to than a compilation of his music. To have such well made comps so easily accessible and on repeat at my leisure is wonderful. thank you again, you deserve my likes and sub because i cant even count how many times i will replay both of these videos.
I listen to *a lot* of Final Fantasy music and I can't believe I didn't come across your wonderful medleys sooner! There's a lot of great stuff out there, but these really standout in quality and composition.
The way you carry the melody forward from Awakening and then transitioning into Searching for Friends is one of my favorite pieces in all of Final Fantasy music. Amazing work!
:o why haven't I seen this until now? Yay more material to listen to while I work! Thanks! Please do more! :D p.s.: love the beginning, with ffvii's continue screen
I've been listening to the previous great medley for 5 years. No matter how full my old piece of crap phone's memory gets, it never gets deleted. Nice to see another. If this is half as good I'll like and subscribe.
literally me in the shower earlier today: Huh I don't think bizzaro Sephiroth's theme was in that huge medley Mmmmmm my words are the tastiest treat. thank you for making me eat them :p
Cool thanks :) As I don't want to spread wrong expectations i have to say that the next medley will be a FFVII only medley ! Just some insights: I started with ideas for a third all-FF-games medley. But the plans for selecting again songs from 12+ games without copying the first two medleys resulted in an estimated production duration of again 2+ years - too much. Then I decided to only use my favorite game in which I can put all my passion. Probably finished in September.
@@wLasky Awesome work from VI to X the soundtracks are amazing and your medleys are a wonderful tribute to it. I'm excited to see what you can come up with for VII only :)
It’s 2023, and I still come back to this every now and then. The bonus track you created is legitimately one of the greatest things I’ve ever listened to, and gets me emotional every time. Truly on par with Uematsu, in my opinion. So thank you for allowing us to take part in your passion and blessing us with this wonderful music.
Been listening to both your mixes for ages on Spotify. You were my most listened artist on my Spotify in year 2019 ! And I'm sure you'll be that for 2020 as well. Keep up the great work :)
1:33:48 it took a lot of time to realizing that the lyrics are german and it took more time to start to understand them ^^ But its the best song in ther cuz im german to
I had no idea you posted a second medley! Awesome news to start the day to! Thank you so much for all the time and love you put into these. Keep up the great work!
Now I've been beginning to think what makes FF series so legendary is the OST and the story. Battle mechanics are keeping up, but still, the OST and the Story really carries the series from 1-12, after that, FFseries has been slow.
The tracks in these medleys are re-produced from scratch just based on the original composition (musical notes). Thats why they cannot be found anywhere else as single tracks.
