1. Isn't that 3rd one an Alpine Butterfly knot, just with the rope cut to start? 2. For the 1st one, I've tried that with 550 paracord and it slips through. For that type of hitch, I think you need to have thicker rope like you have in there (5/8" paramax?)
1. Yes! Alpine Butterfly Knot is better to connect two ropes or repair the broken ropes. 2.I think the 1st one is relatively suitable for the thick objects.
