For those wondering, "The Great Locomotive Chase" was an event during the American Civil War where a group of Union soldiers from various Ohio regiments were recruited by James J. Andrews, as well as another civilian. These men hijacked a Confederate train in Georgia and led a chase down the railway. The Union troops and the civilians were eventually caught by the Confederates and some were summarily tried and executed for "acts of unlawful belligerency" (Read: The Confederacy States of America is bad). All of them were praised for their acts of bravery. While none of the civilians received any awards due to not being eligible, all but one of the Union soldiers were awarded Medals of Honor.
