@@nadegejosna "her ability to express her emotions through her facial expressions" is called ACTING. Yes, Demet is very expressive, and her acting benefits a lot from that capability. Regarding the story of "Between the World and Us", it is woeful. Really bad script. It's a pity Demet got involved, IMO. In the end, I got the feeling they planned to have a second season, but it never happened due to the failure of the first season. And I don't think Demet was at a good level in that series (probably not her fault, but fault of the deplorable script she was given). I didn't like the second season of "My Home, My Destiny" either. The first season was interesting, but they messed up everything in the second season with a nonsensical plot. Adim Farah is a completely different thing. Much better.

I respect your point, but I don't agree with it. Between the world was great. Everything is not about pink life and romance. They didn't have a second season because Disney cut its tie with Turkey under pressure from people complaining about a movie they would make about one of their leaders. But some sources said they removed all Turkish content in Turkey due to the restrictions imposed by RTÜK.Nothing to do with show not being good People are always complaining about the second season of "My Home and Destiny" Its not Ibrahim ,its Medhi . I mean, come on, we can't tolerate any abusive character, whether it's in real life or on the show. But I personally love the second season with Engin Ozturk. To be honest, I never liked Medhi since day one. It's just insane how a parent would spend so much money to educate their daughter and then force her to marry someone. Between the world was never about men ,it was about her .Too bad Disnet is out and we can't have the second season

@@nadegejosna Sorry, this will be long. I understand if you don't read it. "Between the World..." starts with an interesting idea, but the story development is poor, the characters are also poor and poorly developed, the plot is incoherent and full of holes, and the ending is a "no ending" and again incoherent. I also respect your point, so let's agree to disagree. Regarding the second season of "My Home, My Destiny", the point is not defending abusive behaviors. That's exactly where the problem started, IMO. The writers seemed to be more committed to teaching moral lessons than to coming up with a good story. The way Mehdi was presented in the first season doesn't fit with the way he behaves in the second season (unless he was suffering from some disorder). Also, once again the plot developed incoherently, with lots of holes. To start with, the character of Barish feels completely fake to me. To start, how can someone in his early thirties (hence with less than ten years of career) managed to be the sole partner (owner) of a big lawyer firm in Istambul, with branches in London and New York? The authors didn't even care to explain how that happened. That's absurd, IMO. Then the way Zeinep, Mehdi, and all the others behave seems like everyone was attacked by some disorder behavior disease. Zeinep didn't forgive her husband (despite all the love), because she says she doesn't believe anyone can change, but she promptly forgave her sister (who she barely knew and was disappeared for 15 years), after all the harm she did and was ready to do to her and her family. Did she change ideas about the possibility people can change? Am I the only one seeing a big incoherence in this? Add to this the big love that Zeinep felt for Mehdi seems to have vanished in just a couple of weeks (that doesn't say anything good about the character, to start with). And she recognized her boss was falling for her, implicitly giving reason to her ex-husband, and started to fall for him also (which means either the feelings for her ex weren't real, or she is very fickle - she doesn't come good out of this). In the end, the subliminal message that's transmitted, IMO, is that there will always be incompatibility between social classes (at least, that's the way I see it), and the only way for a couple to match is to come from the same social status. Not a good message, IMO. Then there are characters (like Kibrit, for example) that suddenly disappear, then reappear, then disappear again, without any kind of explanation. And the new characters introduced transformed a series that started as a drama into a soap opera. Very bad writing, IMO. Remember this was supposed to be a "drama" based on a "true story". 🙄 And the "good messages" that were supposed to be transmitted (something I don't like to see, to start with, since I don't like to watch movies and series that try to "educate" me through "virtue signaling") become lost in the contradictions mess. To finish it up, the use and abuse of "cheap tricks" (like constant slow motions), and all that contributes to a poor experience. Again, let's agree to disagree.
