I purchased my first smart phone and the first serial i watched on tube was Great Maratha as ,I wanted to recollect my memories of this serial which i watched during my childhood ,this all happened in 2011 and now this is 2023 ,i watch this serial on regular basis and every time feel something new and the flavour of history and feel as if I am one of the major character of history during that period

Jaichand agar Prithviraj Chauhan ki daga na dete to ghori kabhi delhi sultanate na banata aibak ko bithake. Ghaznavi ke hamle pe gujrat ka kshatriya Raja bhaag Gaya tha it was common brahmin men who died defending the jyotirlingam. At that time I was a 10 year old girl and now I'm mother of 2kids of the same,but I still rememberef the name Mahd ji Sindhiya.. I love it. Those actor's were the real hero. I will definitely show it to my kids as it will help them for the history of India.Thanks to Late Sanjay Khan Ji🙏🙏

Hats off to Sanjay Khan for this ensemble of cast during those days! Pankaj Dheer, Shabaz Khan, Parikshit Sahni, Bob Christo! My childhood favourite Mukesh Khanna and my all time favourite Irfan Khan! In today's world of remake, one must think to remake this epic! Movie won't do justice to this topic of Indian history...

This is just an amazing masterpiece by Sanjay Khan, every actor was tremendous. Script awsome and music the best! Used to be glued to the tv when it used to be aired in doordarshan in mid 90s.

मराठों को घमंड था इसलिए वह हारे यदि महराजा सूरजमल की सलाह मान ली होती और सूरजमल का साथ ले लिया होता तो अब्दाली को और नजीब को हरा सकते थे लेकिन मराठे अपनी इस जीत में जाटों को भागीदारी नहीं देना चाहते थे

No unnecessary dramas and soap fever.... Direct tv series with good music, plot and action... Though certain things have deviated from real history... But, far far better with genuine natural actors and actresses acting than today's shit. My childhood fav serial on DD. 1994....

since 1999 I have been doing research on the battle of panipat III. And with this long research I can conclude that they lost only because of 1. their uncontrolled " chauth wasooli" tactic and abandonment by all the northern rules like Jatt, Sikh, and Nawabs ...2. betrayal by the Gaikwads of Baroda, 3. Raghunath Rao's absence, 4. Wrong battle tactics by Sadhashiv Bhao,6. non functional role of reserve battalion head Naro Shankar and 5.The absence of ganimi kavacha tactics during the day of war.

@@dharmdhuri6519 research nahi hai kuch management fail tha aur kuch gaddari.abdali ka support iss liye bhi dia gaya sabko pata tha yeh ladaai ladne ke baad afganistan chala jayega kyoki isey punjab se matlab hai. usne farmaan mein bhi iska jikra kia ki delhi mein peshwa ke dabdabe se durrani empire ko koi lena dena nahi.

Every artist has played his part indeed well here but the ones who shone brighter were Mukesh Khanna ( Ibrahim Khan gardi)...Shahbaz Khan (mahadji Scindia) ...pankaj dheer ( sadashiv bhaau). ..deepraj Rana ( जनकोजी ) 👍 and even Mangal Dhillon ( dattaji Rao Scindia)

my reply to all my muslim friends marathas was not bad peoples but they were confused about supporting british or mysore during anglo mysore war there were also many traitors in maratha empire who provoked peshwa against tipu sultan on the other hand there were also peoples like mahadji sindhia who was in favour of tipu sultan but after the death of mahadji sindhia there was no one in maratha empire to sympathise with mysore kingdom

@@syedmuhammadkhan You are right, Abdalli who declared Jihad against the Marathas to 'liberate' the Mughals, after winning the battle of Panipat massacres thousands in Delhi and raped the Mughal princesses. It were the Marathas who actually fought for the protection of the Mughals and defense of India. They succeeded in that as not only Abdalli, but no other invader invades Delhi from the North west side. Hadn't it been for Panipat, than they would have conquered all of India.

@@syedmuhammadkhan abdali was invited by Shah Waliullah dehlvi because he saw the Mughals were into music,dance and alcohol and were Falling apart. So the Sheikh invited abdali to attack the country so they could establish an Islamic emirate here. Later on his grandson and Syed Ahmed Barelvi went to balakot to train pashtuns to liberate the land from Sikhs. It was a dream of Shah Waliullah to establish an Islamic state which we see as pakistan now.
