I wonder how many people understand the significance of King George standing during the Hallelujah Chorus. He was showing that not even he, the King of England, should remain seated before the King of Kings.
Standing during this piece is absolutely important and nobody even knows why King George stood. But as a performer of this great piece I would ask people to stand when this song is being sung. Unless you absolutely can not stand up then that is a different story. I think this is a perfect rendition and I have sang it in C major 4 times already and can't wait to do it again. 0:55
Long Live Jesus King of Kings and Lord of lords who shall live forever and ever. And we who believe will live with him in heaven forever and ever. Praise the name of Jesus. Who died on the cross for our sins and the sins of the whole world . Because we believe this we too will live with him forever . In a mansion that he has prepared for us . Chorister Bob, Grand Philharmonic choir Kitchener
BRAVO To the best of my search this is the only song that any KING of England/UK has ever stood for out of respect not to the music but to Almighty GOD Pax+
Handel’s actor in this film looks like the actor who played J.S. Bach in an East German programme made a number of years ago: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WdmcabpiGYU.html
