I think what they were trying to go for was Vandal having lost normal social procedure,after being without any human interaction in centuries, therefore making him incapable of understanding discussing sensitive topics. Prince Vegeta Actually in Young Justice and the comics it's said that he has played many roles through history, from hero in some time periods to villain. Guess when you have all the time in the world it's inevitable to want to try different roles just to stave off boredom.

Vandal Savage is basically a stronger, older Variation on Ra´s Al Ghul, just replace Lazarus pits with asteroids.

When vandal savage realize "The league of shadows" operations and ideologies limits his ultimate vision of universal conquering, he decides to step down and give the "demon throne" to his eldest son of that time who also shares his vision, his combat skills and to some point, his physical likeness also... Though his son was not an immortal like vandal himself, the new R'as showed promise... Impressed by his son's works as the new R'as al ghul, vandal reveals the secret of Lazarus pit, its magical properties and how to use it on himself to accomplish longevity and rejuvanation to his son.

TheHappyWhale I think the comics did it first. In the 80's, when I reading the Wonder Woman comics, Cheetah didn't wear clothes (covered with fur she didn't need to). I think it was somewhere in the 90's or 2000's they put her some horrible thing that looked like Lycra gym clothes or something. It's silly, it's pointless but there we are. :)

Would've made the 'family reunion' moments between Savage and Nabu even better if Ra'as and Cassandra had one or two 'reunion' moments and we see just how powerful and how much Vandal has influenced the Earth's destiny as a single man with all these generations standing by him with two of them having become a lord of cosmic order and the head of the worlds most skilled and ancient of assassin/spy organizations.

Carlos Meza actually he doesn't he's not after evolutionary leaps he just wants the survivors of his engineered cataclysm to prop him up as a god after he rebuilds society.

Are we sure he was killed? Savage called him "Poor, disgraced..." sounds to me like his identity (Aquaman's brother) was compromised and he was thrown out of the light.

Though I really like both, Ferrer just SOUNDS LIKE Vandal Savage.

I think both interpretations are too different to judge. Phil Morris's is more intelligent and cunning, while Miguel Ferrer is more gruff and intimidating

***** I agree 100%. Phil Morris is the perfect Vandal Savage. He's cold, sophisticated, and just plain badass, and Phil Morris does all of that perfectly.

+MrPjw5 That's difficult to do. It was the same with me and Phil Morris as Savage. He brings an intelligent, cunning, and sophisticated feel to the character whereas Ferrer sounds cold, menacing, and savage. The first time I heard his voice it terrified me. You just knew he could kill you or torture you in only ways you can imagine. In this situation I would go with both because they're both awesome. Its kind of like choosing between the better voice of Mongul: Keith David or Eric Roberts? I just can't choose so I accept the different versions of the character.
