Starting Our trip in Port Byron Illinois, following the Mississippi down to East Moline. We found a few curiosities along the way, not to mention trying to find our way, but resulted in some beautiful views of Americas mightiest river.

The funny thing was, there wasn’t enough signage to indicate where the trail would pick up.

I have driven Route 84 many a time when I was work in the Army there in Savannah Illinois, always wanted to ride the trails. My X ( who's Filipino, married while in the Marine and between DaNang Vietnam, Ubon Thailand and Cubi Point Philippines 72-73, it lasted 26 yrs until she wanted the divorce). I took her up to Chestnut Mountain Restore a couple times. The Army put me and a couple other guys up at the Restore. Beautiful Country. I live in Central Illinois.
