We're back!!!! This time we're bringing you the awesome Overworld theme for the Wind Waker, The Great Sea!! \m/
Our last collab, Hyrule Field was coordinated by Jake, so I decided to take control on this one. This song was so functional and catchy that I would be stupid not to cover it!! One skype chat I asked Jake if he wanted to do another collab, and he agreed, and thats where we began :D One of the most important parts of this song, in my opinion is the ending acoustic part. I got inspiration to arrange this from another youtube video that did a similar arrangement, but I went all out to make mine as unique as I possibly could, so I hope you enjoy!!!

this song reminds me of the days where i'd go out sailing in the Chesapeake Bay during the summertime, and it certainly brings back the good memories of my childhood

Aaaah this song takes me back to the openness and freedom which was the Wind Waker and all this game stands for, best overworld music in my opinion of all the Zelda games!

Chuggaconroy, he had a legend of zelda majoras mask lp a while back and used this song in one of his videos so he wouldnt bore the audience with him doing the same thing over and over, its a great song.

"In one interview with LPCatchPhrases, he goes into detail about his username, saying that "chugga" was a word he liked saying as a kid, and the "conroy" was from a randomly generated username he got when he was 7 years old. The extra A was a result of a typo he kept, and he has been using his username for 14 years." That's what I read. Maybe he has multiple stories, or maybe I'm just completely wrong, but that's what I read.

After listening to the original Great Sea theme from Wind Waker, I figured out that the ending acoustic (4:50-5:23) was the background music in the very first introduction of the song. That was after listening, and listening, and a lot more listening.

The overworld theme always was epic, but I always prefered the cursed ocean version after you visited greatfish isle. Y'know, the one that is laced with Ganondorf's theme? ah well, this mix brought back a lot of nostalgia, and didn't disapoint in the least.

damn, just yesterday I was thinking about how I should do an epic cover of this, and I started to look forward to it... great cover though. I was thinking along the same lines of adding a bunch of original stuff in, cause the original doesn't have that much to work with.

I came here with much trepidation, after the 'Lost Woods Dubstep Incident', which left me mentally scarred for life, but i can honestly say, while it's not the same as the original, it can't be, and while it doesn't quite live up to the standard of another artist's cover of this song, i can honestly say, 'good Enough'. jkjk, it's 'great'.
