Videographer: Please give us the visual experience of the audience. She has built her talk around her slides, so we should see them at all times. The simplest option Is simply to zoom out - this is closest to the audience experience. Although I like to watch the speaker's delivery, it's not more important than the slides that she's addressing. Thanks for an otherwise excellent production.
I have two points to make: 1. My professionally unskilled mother raised 7 children by herself. As a welder in a shipyard in 1944, she worked the night shift for the extra 10 cents an hour. She made a deal with a fellow worker who lent her $1000 to buy a two family house and in return she took him in as a boarder. His board and room money was used to repay the $1000 loan. We lived in one half of the house and rented the other which paid the mortgage. My mother went on to own a few rental houses over the next ten years until the last child left home. She became a housekeeper for wealthy people and traveled the world. All it takes is hard work and willingness to take a risk to succeed. 2. I worked for HUD from 1988 to 1994 as a computer specialist. The amount of money that was spent wastefully was appalling. The 1994 budget for the agency was 25 "B"illion dollars, 82% of that money was the cost of running the agency and 18% went to help people to buy a home. What a waste of tax money.
When we give people freebies they don't respect them. The maintenance people couldn't keep up with the vandalism. People need to work and pay so they have skin in the game.
If one looks back the BEST growth is able to be acheived when you have a partnership between State & Private. Goal of State is not directly run private --- NOPE not this. Goal is for state to build infrastructure & fund research tech, energy, medicine -ect and to enact policy that allow business to grow. NOT to create bullshit regulations that are meant to price little guy out and to make vast monopolies (this is what govt does now and it is destroying our economy).

The larger the number of individuals a bureaucracy serves, the more arbitrary it has to be. I don’t remember who I heard say that. I think they were talking about federal taxes and government spending and how each individual is the most qualified expert on how they would spend their money but I think it applies to bureaucracies hovering over large populations as well.
the defense of the country (DOD) is an requirement of the government vis-a-vis the constitution. that we're the sole super power in the world proves your assertion, incorrect. the money was not lost. @@kairay1608 She didn't sale books because of a president's "great literacy" policy. Her success is based on a free market and having an audience. Two completely different things. Shes a journalist who does her own research. People who sit and watch TV in their PJs are spoon fed whatever lies spew from it. There is a clear and pronounced difference between the topics you believe to be the same.

@@kairay1608 That's not what I think, it's the fact that they are different. You equated her success in a free market to command economic programs. They are in no way similar. The "system" does not procure wealth for her book sales. The free market in America is, for the most part, stateless. The "system" she complains about are failed command economy policies, which takes the wealth from the sale of people's good and their labor. Two very different things.

Sometimes when people are using their iPhone to type, the spell check changes the spelling, & sometimes those people (& there's millions of us) don't wish to take the time to do all of the final checks. That's what happened to me, it seems. I recently had spine surgery, so I was not paying close attention. Love how people commenting didnt watch the video and completely missed 30:00 which explains how Nixon (Rep.) continued. Why cause all this was started cause over 20% of the country was in poverty and many where homeless. Without manufacturing jobs and no better ideas this was the only way for some people to actually have a roof over their heads.
