It's good to see this on RU-vid, but nothing beats actually being there to see them perform! God bless them, I have seen these guys perform since I was little in San Antonio.
Greetings from Bonnie Scotland 🏴. Love every minute of this. Congratulations to everyone for putting on a amazing air show. Love the thunderbirds. Wish I was there with my camera.
I find The Thunderbirds theatre style of presentation a bit silly & child-like, diminishing the seriousness of a profession. But I guess only in America.
2023, Rochester, NY, The Thunder birds were here and as I was in my apartment watching out my window for the jets to pass and as I sat at my computer Jet 5 passed by my window, I live in a high rise up on the 19th floor and it was like the scene in Top Gun when Tom Cruise flies by the tower after he was denied, my windows rattled really bad but the excitement was so cool. It was a Huge thrill to see the diamond formation go by as well. Thanks for this memory, GOD SPEED
Amazing wonder of wonder skills of thunderbirds since i watch their unique exibition flying in the skies, watching them is wonderful move action flying aircraft.love it men.
its moments like this that keep me humbled and honored to be a part of the American Democracy... "R" (fly high Thunderbirds) "arrive with satisfaction upon your face's!"
Amazing superheroes such synchronisty everyone such an intricate part of the whole of beautiful masterpiece that preserves our freedom for generations to come!🇺🇲🦅💕🖐️👌🤗 So much love and admiration for all our ArmedForces!
Greetings from Down Under 🇦🇺...fantastic show!! precision is mindblowing! wish I was there..had the opportunity to go to an airshow years ago and the atmosphere was such a buzz..can't wait to see the next show...thanks for posting
I love to go to watch both Navy Blue Angels air show and USAF thunderbird show, you guys are all professional from airman to pilots. You guys promote more heroism and patriotism than than Top Gun Maverick Hollywood movie.
As an AF retiree, I love watching this team preform. I am slightly disappointed that we had to hear lame music rather than the conversations between the ground and air crew members. This synchronized dress and cover movements look cool and robotic to the laypeople, but we all know that these are still teammates/friends/family working together at an awesome cadence to make us all VERY impressed....and I want to listen and "hear" them do their jobs. Mostly, I want the youth of America, and the World to hear their stories. The extreme complexities of how they got here, how they merge careers and families, and how they are....as a team, also a family. Been here, done it, loved it. I just want to finally hear it.....from the best. These types of ass kickers need theirs stories to be told.
Change the cameraman who constantly showed shots of the audience rather than the planes. Replace the Major who was the announcer with someone who is NOT bored with the presentation. As an Air Force veteran, I'm proud of the pilots and their continual high performance level. Loved the show, what we were shown of it.
It's always a pleasure to wath Thunderbirds in action. I used to watch them from a friend's window in Colorado Springs near Peterson AFB. Go to the USAF-u. I really like air shows.Chicago bows.
Show Time 👍Thunderbird. Thank whoever is Sharing. I like to think 🤔 you as Sky Angels. See you when you flying over. Thank for Your Dedication hard work God bless PT LERCH
While attending Officer Basic Course at Ft. Sill in 1970 my buddy and I heard the Thunderbirds would be flying in an air power demonstration at nearby Altus AFB so we went to see them as well as the other amazing aircraft. We saw for the first time a low level high speed pass then pull back and head into the stratosphere by an F4 Phantom,, he and I just looked at each other exclaiming "HOLY SH*T,, that plane is SO FRIGG'N FAST! Can you imagine what it must feel like!" America's Thunderbirds and Blue Angels are indeed a treat to witness, EVERY AMERICAN should see them at least once in their lifetime,, it will be an experience they will never forget,, I haven't and never will.
I've never seen the Thunderbirds (in person) but I did see the Blue Angels a few years ago in Massachusetts. They were amazing and I'm sure that the Thunderbirds are just as impressive.
The one advantage the Blue Angles have over the Thunderbird's are that the Navy can land on a moving ship at sea, which is the most dangerous, and difficult job in the world to do. The Navy can land on a moving carrier at night during a storm, and rough seas and survive.
Quick Q: Do the Thunderbirds still do low-level, shock and awe maneuvers? I used to see them about once a year when I was an AF brat growing up on-base and loved the thrill of #5 or #6 coming in from hangar-side (behind us) and blowing past us at about the same moment that the sound hit us. Unfortunately, I haven't had a good opportunity to see them in almost two decades now, but talking to a buddy from Northern Michigan, he said they did that once in his town, broke a few shop windows and weren't invited back for YEARS. I've been looking for an opportunity to see them with my kids, but wonder if they're going to get to experience that same BOOM thrill.
Much admiration for Thunder Bird pilots. Enjoyed the show (Video) very much. Just wish the music was left out so the planes could have been heard. Was a ground crew chief on the F86-D at Perrin AFB in the 50's.
My loyalties are torn. I LOVE the F16 anyway - so in it's capacity as an aerobatic show aircraft I absolutely adore it...BUT.... I don't feel it's a particularly exhilirating nor difficult routine when it's a fly-by-wire aircraft....Unlike the Hawks of the UK Red Arrows and such as the amazing (and LARGE) team fro the Frecce Tricolore via Italy. For me - as a Brit that actually spent 4 years in the USAF in the 80's and very much pro-USA...... I have to say my top slot goes to the Italians.
This was one of the worst airshows I have ever been to and I have been to a lot. I saw my first airshow in 1976 when I was in Navy tech school in Memphis Tenn.
Awesome show 2022!!! I salute everybody who participated in this Airshow. This former SSGT Cantu salutes along with my father's cousin - CMSgt of the Air Force - Gil Cantu.
The day the F-16 shows up in the game War Thunder, I guarantee that there's going to be a Thunderbirds skin for it. I can't wait for there to be in-game airshow performances lol
While in basic training at Amarillo AFB in Dec. of 1966; our drill instructor marched our squadron down to the flight line. There we got to see the Thunderbirds. What a thrill for a bunch of mainly 18 and 19 year olds.
Iwas told long time ago that one of the founding members of the original thunder birds was an RAAF exchabge pilot Benny RAFFIN ISERVED with him him in 36SQN (RAAF) C130 (A model)
I was in basic at Amarillo in March 1966! I was a crew chief on the F-106 at Dover AFB. In 1969 I crewed the F-100 in Viet Nam. First plane was hit with ground fire and the pilot was killed. Couple days later I crewed another plane. I got out Jan 1970. Some times I wish I would of stayed in!
this is a super duper show! The Texas Military Thunderbirds! The greatest AIR SHOW in USA…a great opportunity for someone from other countries with no military powers.thanks for posting! I’m so proud to be an AMERICAN CITIZEN! To. Be able to see this on RU-vid!
How much fuel did Great Texas Airshw 2022 expended during their demonstration show while most Americans worried a great deal about the rising cost of feul throughout USA? How many Americans turned homeless and jobless while the Air Forces performing air shows that expended a great deal of fuel? If US Armed Force is the most powerful and wealthiest in the world then how come RPC exports on cheap aluminum and steel are reserved exclusively for US aircraft carriers and even poratble computeres?MMMM
Maybe the military has relaxed their standards from when I was in, but the last I knew, females were required to have their hair in a bun of some type so that it doesn't extend beyond the collar. Always great to see my tax dollars are being spent wisely.
Modern sexism against males. Bet the female is never sent into combat. Young males need to refuse to register for the selective service till females are forced to do the same. Next war, females need to be sent into front lie combat in equal numbers as males. No excuse to keep modern strong females safe behind the lines.
Good evening sex Thunderbird around the space of sky beautiful show and performance amazing marvelous all the captain performs very good and fine USA Air force give the performance all the peoples thank you very much God bless
I served in the military with Chuck Norris and I would only yell at him about everything. We will most likely hunt for the meteorite from Mars, where the Perseverance Rover is designing bases. Nasa will definitely inform you about this meteorite after I write. 2022 08 18
Watching this makes me one blessed and proud American. May we continue to have peaceful skies because of men and women like these. God bless each of you and keep you safe in life.
I think it`s about time our government stopped pissing off the taxpayer money on things like this. That little display must have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
@@charlesmills6621 Yah, must be honest, I think you’re right. It looks lame. But worse, sending up only four aircraft, and doing a stale, lifeless show. If you look at other nations’ jet aerobatics teams, they fly eight or nine planes in a dazzling, creative, inspiring exhibition that drops your jaw. Cheers brother.
Greetings from the sunflower state. While stationed in Florida my husband was in the control tower controlling the great Thunderbirds while they performed. What an honor! Love the Thunderbirds and their team!!
(In my VISION, a Wing or two STOPPED by at Scotty's Backyard either Thursday of Friday June 2-3, may be for fuel. No idea.) Due to unexpected circumstances, injury with sports activity made few changes on 2022 schedule. After a year of planning, Thunder will be missed today June 4 & June 5, 2022 in Fort Wayne. Thunder and Lightning at the HILL are still on schedule by the end of the month. It is with Hope that SUNSHINE will brighten the day at the Hill. THUNDER is already on the schedule 4 times on 2023. 1). QUAD Airshow. 2). CenterPoint ENERGY 3). OWENS at the Regional Airport 4). WINGS over Homestead. Definitely excited to visit OWENS at the BLUE BRIDGE again in 2023. The ANGELS were at the BLUE BRIDGE in 2021. The amazing adventure was an UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE, except the Rolls-Royce Engine was missed at the Regional Airport. The WINGS at the BLUE BRIDGE looks absolutely Great! The ANTICIPATION with Thunder and Lightning and Dates with ANGELS are certainly EXCITING Journey in 2023.~Marilyn Kelly~
I love how the air force does this but cancels Luke days, supposed for reasons of covid but it doesn't actually seem like a concern now does it? I know quite possibly the real reason for it being cancelled but saying for covid was really just an excuse. This was so beautiful tho and I don't wanna send negative vibes. Be safe
