Revelation 6:1-17 shows that planet Earth is headed for some hard times.
Ecological disaster on a scale never known to man.
Unprecedented famine, disease, and possibly nuclear war will sweep the planet, culminating in the war to end all wars-Armageddon.
More than one billion people will lose their lives as Satan wreaks havoc on this planet.
Those who would have us cast off our moral restraints, those who do not live by the standards God has set down in His Word for our protection, will finally have their way.
Were it not for the intervention of God Himself as He returns to reign, no one would survive! The tribulation, as this period is called, is well named. Jesus, knowing the severity of the coming tribulation period, described it as
“There will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved” (Matthew 24:21-22).
Revelation 6 is an overview of the seven-year period beginning with the Antichrist and ending with the second coming of Jesus Christ. This period is God’s final countdown for humanity, culminating in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to this earth.

amen. God be with you, one way I know I used that helped me was to focus on God and know that nothing else seem real when you are not with God. God has been showing me something lately. We need to be careful how we interpret scripture in regards to the end times. Sometimes we need to wait on Him to give us revelation instead of interpreting for ourselves. It can be an exercise in futility to speculate about the end times if we aren't following God's leading in it.

There is no “interpretation” danger if you generally take scripture at face value. Just take it to mean what it says. Not hard to do. Subjective interpretation is where we introduce our biases.

And another thing.. If the saints will be raptured before the tribulation and the condemned will remain, what's the point of the tribulation? Is there a hope that they will repent having antichrist as their leader? Why not to be judged immediately? And a last thing.. If a pre trib rapture will occur, do u imagine the chaos that will happen in all earth services, society, and families?

All the apostles, except John, died in tortures for Jesus.. Millions of martyrs died from the Roman empire since today for Jesus.. What make u think that we Christians will escape the tribulation? Jesus promised to keep the believers protected during tribulation, not to rapture them in the skies.. This will happen after the tribulation at the last trumpet.

The context of Revelation 6 is a continuation of John's vision of heavenly things that began in Chapter 4. There is nothing in the text to indicate that the visions seen by John are in fact literal, earthly events. Given the text, more probably John is seeing representative/parallel events that coincide with historical, earthly events but that is an entirely different interpretative methodology.

The part that I struggle with is that the Church will be raptured.....and then there will be peace. It seems to me that if a huge portion of the population all of a sudden disappears, and people lose their mothers, kids, grandparents....I don't understand how things will be peaceful. The ones left will not be believers, and not fully even understand what has happened to them. It seems like utter chaos would ensue...

The Elect refers to those chosen by God for salvation. That means that God knew that they wouldn't be saved until they were in the tribulation. People will believe after the rapture, and during the tribulation. John 14 1-4 is Jesus speaking about the rapture. Hope this helps. Blessings in the Lord.

Okay every other person I talk to about this says we the church will have to go through the tribulation. And then every other person I meet says no we do not go through the tribulation. But I hear it every day it seems. I don't understand and I don't really know what the truth is I read it I read the scriptures that are pointed out for this issue I listen to all the wonderful preachers that we have out there I just don't know how can I get clear about this?

Be careful believing the pre tribulation rapture teaching. Read the Bible for yourselves, it's not there. Many would be offended by Christ and fall away believing in a rapture and find themselves in the midst of the tribulation

I don't think the Great Tribulation is God's wrath. We see the Great Tribulation as Jesus spoke of as occurring after the abomination of desolation in Matthew 24:15-22. And Jesus says that it will be cut short and cut short for the sake of the elect. We see in Daniel 7:21-28, Revelation 12:12-17, and Revelation 13:5-7 that 42 months is appointed for the beast to wage war against the saints. But this Great Tribulation will end on the 'Day of the Lord' as described by Jesus in Matthew 24:29-31. We also see this in Isaiah 13:6-13, Joel 2:10-11, Joel 2:31-32, and Isaiah 34:4-8. These signs in sun, moon, and stars matches up with not Revelation 19, but Revelation 6:12-17. Therefore the 6th seal in Revelation 6 is the Day of the Lord. And we do indeed see all the elements here. Not only the signs in the sun, moon, and stars, but the Revelation of Jesus in the sky here in Revelation 6:16 and also all the tribes of the earth mourning and fearful in Revelation 6:15-17, which matches Matthew 24:30 and Luke 21:26. We then have 2nd Thessalonians 1:6-10 say that this is the Day we receive our rest. Luke 21:25-28 agrees this is the Day we are to lift up our heads and look up for our redemption draws near. This day is the commencing of God's wrath as Isaiah 13:13 and Revelation 6:17 say. The Great Tribulation is Satan and the beast's war against the 'woman' and the rest of her offspring whole hold the testimony of Jesus Christ.

2 Thes v3 Paul says that our gathering to Him will not take place until the apostasy takes place & antichrist is revealed. The church is not appointed to wrath, but the seals are not the wrath of God. According to Rev 6:17 the wrath is about to begin. Everything preceeding that verse is not the wrath of God. Persecution from the antichrist is not the same as the wrath of God. Sorry Pastor Greg, but I have to disagree with you. People need to prepare for the worst & if Jesus takes us before that Praise God.

If you will read the opening verses of 1st and 2nd Thessalonians and believe it's true, you will see that you've been reading someone else's mail and thinking it was addressed to you. It was warning real Christian believers living in the pre-AD70 time period. How do you not see this?

Actually, According to scripture the Tribulation described in Mt 24 took place just before the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. This tribulation came upon the city and the people who rejected and crucified the Son of God. It came upon the Jerusalem that “ kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her”(Mt23:37). Christian's will be in the great tribulation. Read Rev 7, Mathew 24 and Mark 13. The wrath of God comes after the tribulation. How is it that so many get this wrong. Ask the Christian's in the Middle East and China. Why do they experience so much suffering, martyrdom etc? The rapture has not come for them. Please stick with scripture please.

The great tribulation Jesus taught in Matthew 24:21 was fulfilled in the first century. It's not in our future.

Tribulation is what the beast does to the world. Wrath is what YHVH does to the beast. So, no. We are not appointed to wrath. That has NOTHING to do with the tribulation. The opposite of wrath is salvation. So, again, no. This verse is NOT referring to the tribulation. There is NO pre-tribulation rapture. Not one verse of Scripture even suggests it.

Be an open minded person start a thorough research. 1 John 4:1 KJV [1] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. He preached this before the War in Ukraine. This is the starting point of harship and tapering off to the hardest tribulation. Victims here would most likely be real Christians. But this period will be cut short.

Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast:" That's not asking us to believe we're all wise enough to calculate the number; and the number (666) has clearly already been calculated. Our Bible tells us that wisdom is a gift from God and we're never to lean on our own understanding or be wise in our own eyes - so let's heed that warning and turn back to our Bible There was a man that specifically asked God for understanding and God made him the wisest man that's ever lived - here is wisdom - King Solomon - "let 'him' that hath understanding..." The number of Gold talents (666) was already calculated (1 Kings 3:9-12) by King Solomon, is he pointing to Gold? Will the beast economy be gold backed and will it have the image and/or name of the antichtist on it (to "buy and sell')? Look for a chosen one that refuses to embrace the teachings of Jesus, but claims to be sent by God, that's obsessed with Gold and truly worships his own image and comes in his own name...

So the church is raptured, and then the enemy comes to deceive all the non believers and filth of the earth. Wow that makes a whole lot of sense! Even though JESUS says, he who endures until the end shall be saved. MATTHEW 24:12. Why would JESUS tell us that, even though HE knows we wont be here? So Believers will not be subject to the choice of receiving the Mark of the Beast? That's not what The Bible teaches. MATTHEW 24:22 Pretty clear Believers will be here! MATTHEW 7:21-23, 7:26-27, 13:22, 15:8-9, 24:11, 25:9-11, 2TIMOTHY3:1-5 ALL believers! ALL fall short! Time to wake up MATTHEW 4:17 and from that Time JESUS began to preach and say, REPENT the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand.

The Rapture in Christianity is divided in 3 positions. Some Christians believe is Before the Tribulation (pre-tribulationist) then we have the Christians that believe it's gonna happen in the middle (mids-tribulationist) finally we have the Christians who believe it's going to happen at the end of tribulation (post-tribulatinist). I'll say just be ready for whatever happens and if we have to die for Christ then let him be glorified.

@Absolute truth, if we go by your opinion which imply we should all be given the choice to receive the mark, then no believers should be dying before Rev 13 where the mark is forced on people . How unfair is that if the Lord will take any believer before the tribulation? Maybe, if you're a man and about to marry, you should let your fiancee be raped, physically abused, amputated, etc... then tell her afterwards, "You've proven how much you love me. Now I'm gonna marry you." You must be the most caring husband on earth.
