Read from Hebrew and Greek translations people. This story was obviously from time before the translation of 1611 KJV so reading it has to be clarified at source. The KJV was the first that took many manuscripts and formed a complete ‘book of God.’ and was translated to English so doesn’t have the double meanings that Hebrew and Greek languages do. In ancient languages, that usage would have been perfectly fine. According to them, the son of your brother was your brother. Remember, English didn't come along for thousands of years after that. Ancient languages were not as precise as English - little was said, but much was intended.

Go to Hebrew and Greek texts as the story was of Old Testament. KJV was transcribed in 1611. Also Greek and Hebrew Scriptures and language have meanings that elude English language alone. If the giants were 450 feet tall, then there is a good possibility that the Giants built the large monolithic structures we see to this day. To a 450 foot tall being, a 50 foot long block would be like a cinder block of today to us. But, were are their bones? Maybe the dinosaurs bones that we find are not really from reptiles, but from the giants of old.

They were often named after their ancestors. So its possible in Genesis 14 there were older Amalekites. And Esaus grandsons was just named Amalek after this previous ancestor. This is how it works in the Genesis Geneolgy anyways. with Seths descendands and Cains.

The actual text suggests nothing about the physical height of these groups nor about the number 10,000. The assertion that they were four meters (12ft) tall is from where? Otherwise, the discussion of the etymological derivations was very interesting.

I will reread Genesis 14. I don’t know where the numbers come from such as 10000 🤔. Abraham only had just over 300. And as for how tall the giants were I’d like to where the 4 to 5 meters comes from. My KJV of the Bible says that Goliath was 11 to 13 feet tall. I don't trust any book that says anything different than mine. I would make one exception to that rule for an Ethiopian Bible translation in English if I had one. Why? Because Queen Sheba of Ethiopia, took a complete copy of the original books of the old testament with her back to Ethiopia along with her belly full of his son. The four kings won against five kings and thousands of giants but Abraham and a handful of elites won against those four kings. That is a battle I wish the scriptures described in detail.
I remember reading about those wars, and even when the Israelites went into the land of milk and honey. That was the only reference I remember to the spice, coming back and saying there were Giants. When the two spies bring back an extremely large cluster of grapes and other fruits.(preachers, depiction.) I don’t remember any reference to those four tribes, all being giants.

Knowing Abraham was present at times in Nimrod’s court, due to his father Terah being captain of the army, I was always fascinated at the account in the Book of Og of Bashan where Nimrod becomes a Giborrim (GMO form of man?) He acknowledges that he turned away from the God of Israel and he cautions the reader to first consider the cost of the decision and not to regard the previous glories of his attainment. Makes sense. After the confusion of languages, people still had their memories intact, they just spoke different languages and had to invent new writing systems. The people you refer to who went to India called Japheth Japati, while the Greeks called him Iapetos - wither way, he was their ancestor.
