One needs to keep these verses in mind when drawing types and shadows from the book of Hebrews. Hebrews 10:1-3 KJVS For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. [2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. [3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. The book of Hebrews gives all the pertinent information regarding the day of atonement in contrast to our Lord’s sacrifice. One needs to put the law in the proper context in regards to the New Testament. Galatians 4:21-26,28,30-31 KJVS Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. [31] So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
