I have a feeling that most people won't be able to even try day one raid due to connection errors and queue times keeping them from finishing campaign in time.
My team only cheesed it cuz we already did it at -15 and plus we were in a huge time crunch knowing we had to actually learn riven lmfao 😂 🤣 we got it done though!
I did both, on day 1 for week 3 the cheese was not known widely so we did him legit, then the cheese became well known and I cheesed him like 12 times for random LFG groups. So I experienced it legit and cheesed
I may not have managed to get the godslayer title, but I did enjoyed the challenge. And I do hope Bungie does bring pantheon back in a some way shape or form, maybe a different selection of bosses with different modifiers, and please keep champions out of it!!!!!
@@GM-lx7ji Don't worry, same here. Between going to work and wanting to just play and relax between my shifts (which at best is about 4 hours after sleeping) I couldn't be fucked sitting in orbit and shifting through a bunch of people in FF/LFG just so I could have a decent fireteam for each week😅
You're telling me brother 😂 i didn't sleep the whole night, on second last to last day, to get it done cause I finally found the right team. Fell asleep with so many emotions at 8am 😂
Alternate every 6 months dungeon and raid pantheons with switching out 2 bosses. That would give a reason to keep grinding end game and bring up excitement for the game as well.
That is how I felt the difficulty of actual Day 1 raids. My clanmates were very stubborn and wanted the clear to be done. But after spending 4 hours on Golgoroth and The Caretaker, I was ready to give up. However, they convinced me to keep going and we finally cleared planets and Atraks. And after that... I was showered with raid loot that I didn't have, it was really awesome. Unfortunately, few days later I fell sick and discovered that I had pneumonia, so I had to go to hospital. Because of that, I missed week 2 and 3 and when I finally came home, everyone were preparing for The Final Shape, so that was it for Pantheon. Bungie, please bring it back, cause I already miss it.
Pantheon absolutely revealed who knows how to raid and those who dont. Everytime i asked ok who will do what id get “ill add clear” or absolute silence!!! Eventually i kicked people who stayed quiet or said add clear first. Got godslayer np, learn to raid learn mechanics quit add clearing everytime and maybe youll be good. Dont hit me with the “i dont got time to play for long hours, bc neither do I, Im just not fucking slow or stupid.
Sorry, but the removing crafting is the hotest take you can possibly have lmao 🤣 no reason to run raids for red boarders for craftable versions, addding another layer of FOMO if you cant get the adept roll you want since adepts are pretty hard to get in terms of grinding for the roll you want. Waiting 6 weeks to get one drop of an adept aint the way the game should run.
Craftable weapons is the reason we only go for 5 weapons anymore and not actually grinding for a good roll for a weapon, and then we all complain we’re bored, this is not a hot take in the endgame community, this is a very popular and clear take, craftable weapons ruined the longevity of the game. No one feels anything about getting a godroll anymore, we delete them because we can craft.
I think it’s a pretty common take that crafting is one of the worst things ever added to destiny. If a gun can’t be crafted, it’s almost useless. It also means that only guns that can be crafted with good perks are worth it. It makes the pool of top guns tiny, and overnight the ‘loot grind’ changed from one of looking out for good rolls and being ecstatic whenever you got anything close to a god roll, to turn in a few engrams for your reds and straight away have a 5/5 god roll minus any excitement
@Liamo051 I mean...trials weapons and adepts, still being some of the best guns in destiny, begs to differ. But I get what you mean! A good portion of the crafted weapons in the game aren't really "meta", but there are several end game pvp and adept raid weapons that are still top tier.
@@brute7689 the problem is most of the adept weapons that are used in pve are crafted, and the ones that aren’t tend to get pushed aside. Look at fatebringer, it was so hyped to be coming back, but you never see it anymore because you can get guns that do what it does with enhanced perks. I would argue the only place where a crafted gun isn’t necessarily always best in slot is in pvp, and that’s only because trials weapons that are built to have good stats in the mode exist. It’s now at the point where unless your running an exotic to bring together a certain build, it is more important to be running a crafted legendary than it is gain the effect of an exotic. It really has messed up the power balance of the game, and it’s brought legendary perks to a point where there can’t possibly be any more creep. This is why we are now getting perks like desperate measures that’s just a different way of proccing something we’ve been using for years. In fact, power creep is such an issue, bungie have felt the need to juice the brave arsenal (aka some of the best guns in destiny history) with enhanced perks just so they’re able to keep up moving forward
@@brute7689 brother, only a handful of the community regularly touches adepts, its endgame, which also is where you find the people who hate crafted weapons, not to mention the title adept is so pretentious you might as well have the normal gun crafted, you starting to see the circle here?
PureChill was an actual handicap for your team. How you held any composure with him on your fireteam is beyond me. I started by watching Sweatcicle’s stream, but PureChill kept hitting on Yellow in such a kindergartener playground “I’m picking on her because I don’t know how else to flirt” kind of way completely turned me off and I went over to Clyde’s stream. PureChill is the kinda guy to ask “Where’s MY hug at, Yellow?” Should change his name to PureCringe.
The worst part about this honestly is the fact it came out during a time most of us were taking a break from Destiny. It doesn’t help that a large portion of the player base is ready to quit after the expansion.
It saddens me how many people were unable to obtain godslayer, i helped several lfg teams complete it & i have to say IMO, alot of teams who couldn’t get week 4 done were mostly the refusal to optimize/maximize DR, debuffs & damage output, mechanics are easily learned, this was an event that wasn’t just about loading in & thinking it was gonna happen, you actually had to coordinate a little
Correction….. The greatest mode bungie ever made…. So long as you are not doing it lfg and have a team of friends. There ya go I fixed it for ya, for every one absolute gem of a lfg team you have to go through 50 shit teams
Having gotten 5 raid titles from LFG purely, (besides clan runs) this felt like the ultimate rite of passage. A point where I actually felt like I could do a day one that wasn't RoN. lets just hope that day one emblem is good and I find a good LFG for it. Godslayer is the new 365 Ghorn. Also I hope we get another, maybe on Oryx there would be two sets of rocks to jump across, or maybe on Caretaker there would be multiple areas to stun, or something interesting that isn't just a tormentor.
Pantheon showed me it doesn’t matter if you’ve done the encounter or not. It all stems from surviving and keeping yourself up. And many people can’t stay alive. It were struggling with old bosses. I wonder how the new bosses will be
Planets was hard for our clan, do to dps and people dying. Luckily I got my godslayer title on week 4 release, tho I saw a lot of people struggling. Mostly survivability, people dying left and right. Got lucky with my lfg group and cleared it
Let me build Bungie’s second version of pantheon real quick 😎 Week 1: -5 -Templar (VoG) -Ir Yut (CE) -Herald of Finality (SE) -Consecrated Mind (GoS)(if they refreshed it) Week 2: -10 -All Previous Bosses -Atheon (Final boss in VoG) Week 3: -15 -All Previous Bosses -Crota (Final boss in CE) Week 4: -20 -All Previous Bosses -Taniks (Final boss in DSC) -The Witness (Final boss in SE) Note: There would have to be loot refreshes accordingly, but I think it’s pretty solid. I also had the idea that the previous versions would return along with the title and the new version I mentioned previously could be gilded triumphs or something Idk 🤷♂️.
Kinda sad my clan couldn't do it all. Some of our players just weren't pulling their weight. Would have been fun to go through all the levels of it, but we just couldn't.
Pantheon was good, but plagued with poor bungos decisions. Why the heck you can two floor caretaker and don't get a 500k? Why the heck you can 1 floor atraks with tormentor killed and get like 480-490k? Why on earth killing riven in one cicle and getting 630k doesn't get you "high score"? While on the topic of riven: the person who decided that numbers in the chat must be cencored should find another job. Wiping bc instead of callouts in the chat you have ### is not funyy or enjoyable. Overall pantheon was fun, I've got my godslayer and helped at least dozen of players get at least raid exotics and all emblems. Howrver, bugs are effing inexcusable when you have a limited event like this.
I understand your point of view on crafting, but to be honest, if crafting was not on option for raid weapons I would have not gotten into raiding. As crafting at least gives me a guaranty that I will get the weapon roll that I want if I put in enough time. When I first started raiding (RoN), I was like "I am unsure if I would like this and but at least I can make progress towards a great Rufus's furry" afterward I was like, "that was fun but long, I am more than willing to do that again to continue making progress". there is nothing worse to a first time raider than struggling for multiple hours through your first raid and getting no decent weapons and no progress towards something that you wanted. Crafting allows us to say "Worst case scenario, as long as I finish this run/raid, I can purchase a redborder for X gun that I actually want." The only raid that I have all the patterns done for and the exotic collected is DSC, and I honestly enjoy DSC will just run it to help out people get said patterns or show them how to do it, but that is not universal for the community. (I never got the god roll perks on a natural drop, had to craft them all) To address the problem of "never having to step foot in a raid again after I get all the patterns and the exotic" I propose one of two options: 1. Crafted weapons should never get enhanced perks, that should be something reserved for naturally dropped weapons (likely the enhanced behaver would have to become the new base to prevent extreme uproar) 2. make the Adepts actually have a truly notable improvement over their base fully crafted weapons, (like double mod sockets, or +10/5 to every stat, or a 2-5% damage boost) a different (and less dev intensive) approach would be slowing down sources of red borders: *Go down the Last Wish route: you have to complete all raid encounters in a single week to be able to purchase a redborder weapon for spoils, no jumping in on a final boss checkpoint. *Also the secret chests in the raid should not able to be accessed solo and/or should not give redborders.
If they removed Crafting in Raids, I don't think I would feel like doing them more then once, if that, as I don't have all the time in the world to farm a Raid in which you only get one drop a week(not counting farming weeks or spoils) and I rather be able to play different parts that don't take as long. I do think Shiny Drops could be a way to keep people engaged or even adding older weapons back into the game via the Raids like they've done with Exotic missions. I very much enjoy a raid more if I've gotten everything and I'm just doing it to help someone that still needs something. Weapon crafting feels like it respects my time as I work a full time Job and can't play the game all the time. I don't mind shorter activities like Strikes or Lost Sectors having randomly dropped loot, or even stuff like the newest mode, but those have a shorter time commitment and lower barrier to get it done with Randoms.
I got the title but man did I HATE Atraks, platinum wasn't enough, you had to also kill enough adds. The first time we got the high score on Atraks in Nezarec Sublime we got 500,430 points.
I feel like with how much evan loves boss gauntlets he would love FF14 ultimates. Literally a boss gauntlet requiring 17+ minutes of perfection, while also telling new stories and remixing old mechanics, and with the coolest title and weapon rewards in the game. Would love to see your reaction to those or hear your thoughts on them if you've already looked at them
While it's a cool event, i'm sure 99% of players didn't even launch this event. The lack of matchmaking is unfortunate. I waited in a fireteam lfg for 4 hours looking for a fireteam before giving up.
nez still having the SAME bugs from launch was so fucking annoying as well as the planets encounter having fire tornados and Atrak’s not giving full score
Removing craftable weapons is the worst take I've ever heard. Like why? More raid runs for nothing? It won't make raids "better", just more irritating. Into the light lacking craftables was clearly a mistake. There is no need to keep players in game by "farming", dev controlled deepsights are so, so much better, also serving the exact same purpose.
Weapon crafting was one of the best additions to this game in recent times. It has made the game respect your time much more & allows people to get good gear without mindless grinds. They need to add it to more stuff for sure.
I know that i’m super in the minority here, but I felt like that pantheon was really a missed opportunity. Instead of catering to the 20% of players we could cater to the other 75% just a little bit more. Don’t know exactly how they could’ve done it and maybe I’m just out of my depth when I say this, but I think if they could have tone down the raid mechanics slightly and found a way to train the newer players on how to do this and again, I don’t know exactly how they would’ve done it and I’m not necessarily advocating for tuning down raid mechanics, but getting more people excited to do the raid is a missed opportunity at least from my viewpoint If you think I’m wrong, please tell me why you think I’m wrong and not just because get good. That is a whole thing unto itself.
There was multiple difficulties bro. What do you mean they are catering to a large range of players with the 4 different difficulties. And if that’s too hard then you can do the normal raid lol. Why should they tone done the encounters for something that’s meant to be difficult? this is meant to be the bosses but harder bro.
Pantheon was an absolute success and it was great. However In my opinion. It shouldn't have existed in it's current form. Yes it's great as a catch up mechanic. However to me. It would have made more sense for pantheon to be instead of currently existing raid bosses, the boss encounters from all the the sunset raids (the raid lairs specifically). With a couple of exceptions. The boss encounters from the raid lairs and the only really notable things about then. So why not stick them all in a boss rush gauntlet, and then that way you don't ever have to unsunset them because what is important is back in the game. So imo this should have been in the place of the pantheon we got (or at least alongside it, or a future release) I'm not including leviathan here because that is a full raid and deserves to be implemented back into the game properly.
Godslayer is such a great title. It’s the only title imo where the number of people who have it doesn’t diminish its value. It’s not as tedious as normal raid titles yet you know whoever got it was skilled enough and more importantly, dedicated. The average player had to use lfg and man it was a nightmare. Pantheon was fun and challenging. For example sword breaker is more rarer then godslayer, but that’s because no one wants to do tedious challenges that sometimes don’t work, both show skill but my point is no one wants to do tedious challenges to show their worth, we’d rather have something more simple, but very challenging.
I only did Atraks, since I got busy with a lot of other things (namely Dawntrail preparation and Final Shape preparation). I will say that while Godslayer goes hard, I kinda wish the title was Godeater. Mainly because I'm a huge God Eater fan and would've put everything to the side for a title like that in honor of my all time favorite game series. If your wondering why I love it, its because God Eater NEVER misses with the soundtrack where you face an Aragami thats an equal to you as a God Arc wielder. No Way Back, Wings of Tomorrow, and Nemesis are all bangers that tell you "see that Aragami? He wants you dead, you want them dead, bury it before it buries you."
I wanted to exchange my legendary shards into phantasmal fragments, but i couldn't use the table thing because i didn't complete the shadowkeep campaign. Luckily i only had 700 shards so only lost 70k glimmer
when I first heard of it and it reminded me of Darksiders with the boss arena which had a more Horde style to it with 50 waves, but you die and start over. Final boss is the Gentleman or whatever his name was. if you played Darksiders 1 and 2 you know what I'm talking about ❤️
They should update some of these mechanics for the encounters. Especially Riven and Nezarec. Being able to do Riven legit was really fun even as it is really mechanic heavy. Though I failed to complete it due to not worth sacrifice my sleep. I only complete 3 weeks and a half of week 4 with LFGs but that is because I didn’t start doing them earlier. I was too busy catching up when I came back to Destiny in second week of May after 6 months of break. Still considered proud on what I have accomplished so far and preps me for the day one raid in the Final Shape!
Shout out to bungie for putting Golgoroth a boss that for everyday I’ve tried for 4-6 hours a day since to release to kill with blueberries they all fail . Thanks for putting a boss with easy wipe mechanics as the first one .10/10 ( I swap roles to help where people struggle , they just can’t do it )
I could not finish the first week level of pantheon, I was part of a group last night where we were having trouble with caretaker but we finally managed to get through it, but i had to sleep, but it was pretty chill Oh and I took Tommy’s Matchbook and was slapping with it and everyone else was laughing because I was putting out top damage
yea You could only get 1 tormentor on Rhulk if you were really fast. we did it once, and we were like "Wait, did we only get 1?" We solid kept getting 2 only, so when a friend said they got 3 I was like "WAAAAAT" Nice touch from bungie to get more tormentors the slower you are. Pantheon was amazing straight through non the less.
I wouldn't want pantheon to become a permanent thing, because then normal raid would pretty much be useless. But wouldn't it be nice if it was like Iron Banner and come around one week every month with a different set of encounters and loot?
Pantheon was really interesting to go through and if you manage to get the Godslayer Title, worth the trouble; if not, at least you get raid exclusive loot for free, especially for those who don’t raid that often or mostly for those that don’t have access to any of the other raids besides the three current free ones Vault of Glass, King’s Fall, and Crota’s End👍
Ayy, another Caretaker enjoyer. I like it One more thign about Oryx, normally the meteors would go away after some time. In Pantheon you needed to kill the knights for that to happen
if they bring back pantheon adding some of the older raid weapons that didnt come back with their push forward into D2 or even adding new weapons using that raids weapon style (mainly for the D2 raids rather then the one brought back)
I loved how Riven was quite literally the easiest encounter for my team. We always do legit and it took two tries, only because I shot the wrong eye on accident. It felt so good
For Rhulk, there could only be 1 tormentor at a time, so if you waited to kill it until the final wave of adds spawned, no other would spawn and you could get only 1 of them Also, the tormentor downstairs for Atraks didn’t teleport, it stayed there. The tormentor spawned upstairs when you opened one of the airlocks. Once it closed, the tormentor would spawn
I played destiny 1 but only got into destiny 2 a few months ago and as a solo player i avoided raids but pantheon got me into it, it was a long grind but i got godslayer and learned how to do every role on all the pantheon encounters. One of the best and most frustrating experience in all my years gaming.
