well I wouldn't go that far lol, but I guess it depends on how much anime you have seen. But yeah its next to Top tier high budget film productions like Metropolis and Red line.
LETS GOOO! Fun fact - this episode had 25,000+ frames alone and took 4+ months to make. The average anime episode has 3,000+ frames and 1 month+ to make 🤯 Y’all gotta react to episodes 972, 978, 1013, 1017, 1026, 1028, and 1033 whenever you can :)
a little correction, I'm pretty sure the episode you mean having 20,000+ frames is episode 1017. i haven't seen anything about either ep 1000 and ep 1015 having that much.
Ishitani is the goat but all the animators that worked on 1015 deserve also the praise, they managed to keep up with her visions and actually managed to perfectly represent it, which is crazy. Masami Mori alone animated all the Ace and yamato part, he's a monster. They all outdid themselves for us. Best anime episode for me ever!
I will never forget watching 1015 at 5 in the morning the moment it dropped and bawling my eyes out seeing one of my favorite manga chapters receive a PERFECT adaptation 😭
With Ishitani episodes, there is not a single wasted frame. She is an absolute directorial prodigy. Unfortunately, limitations of time, budget, and manpower keep her from putting out more work, but I hope she and her team are already mapping out the adaptation of the manga sections around Chapter 1044.
If it isn't going to be directed by Ishitani which I hope it is, the only other person worthy would be Naotoshi Shida(Gear 4th Bounce Man and Snake Man and many more great scenes).
@@cooljo5881 I think he directs as well. I believe he directed the roof piece ep. 1017. Edit. NVM u right. Well I wouldn't mind them working together then. That would be phenomenal.
That 1000 episode and the thanks. I literally said the same thing. "No, it's thank to you." But started watching it from the 4kids dub and to that 1000 episode I really can't thank One Piece enough of how it made my life a little easier. And 1015 what else haven't been said. It's insane. And reminded me why Ace is just damn cool. I mean he have a normal guy voice. And the facial or emotions they put on Yamato. Man.
Seeing Episode 1015 over and over again makes me really, really, really anticipate for the episode of _that_ moment! Even the thought of the sound of the drums gives me chills already! (Trying to not spoil things for any possible anime only people that could be here, but hey... this is a manga channel)
Thank you so much for holding off for so long to watch these episodes for us!! 1015 is truly the best anime episode ever made, what a treat for us one piece fans, thank you
You guys HAVE to see the Luffy vs Sanji fight and when sanji says he wants to go to the Sunny, I think we all agree that the feels and music during those moments are HEARTBREAKING and GRAND
965, 968, 971, 972, 978, 1004, 1013, 1017, 1026, 1033, 1036 are the other wano episodes that I recommend the most, in my opinion, they are the best of what wano has to offer.
with peace and love... Luffy and roger said the same thing. Not only that but Ace's and Sabo's dreams are so profound .do you guys really think that Luffy's dream would be "i want the whole world to be pirates"? can u imagine Roger saying that and Oden reacting in the way he did? personally cant. not hating on megs theory. its just that it only ties one thread together and leaves 100 open
Honestly, watching this episodes are like injecting cafeing in your veins, it just give you so much hype, adrenalina, that i had to go out and run for a little bit to calm down after watching it
Damn. 1015 is just sublime. That transition to the Akazaya all messed up made my heart drop. The whole episode really is the best One Piece episode of all time. Start to finish is a work of art.
People mistake commentary and saying funny jokes for a “reaction”, a reaction is LITERALLY just watching a video and explaining your thoughts only if they need to be explained, you could’ve been quiet this entire time and it’s still a reaction The way your body acts and the looks on your faces is reaction enough
You should also check out episode 1013, it covers the relationship between Ace and Yamato and it is a really beautiful episode, the director was Ryota Nakamura, Megumi Ishitani's mentor, he also did episode 1026 which you should also check it out alongside episodes 1017 and 1033 (maybe 1028)
Megumi Ishitani is probably the best when it comes to really implementing the natural "One Piece" feel to it. The anime as it stands is still amazing but EVERY time she's in charge of an episode it feels the closest to what Oda wants you to feel. The feeling of adventure and rich world building, amazing character writing for incredibly emotionally driven characters, the magical and whimsical colors and scenery, all immerse you so well in to the world, you feel like you are in it. Episode 1015 is a masterpiece of an episode and I can only see one moment that could possibly usurp this episode which is Chapter 1044, which I'm pretty sure I speak for all of us when I say Megumi Ishitani should be the one directing that episode.
@@Spark-pe7vw I dont know really but you can notice they are fighting while watching these episodes Im surprised they didnt cut that out hope they can actually talk everything out love their dinamic
Chapter 1000 and this episode even more elevated some story beats that were too proeminent with Roger's/Oden's and Yamato's flashbacks, mainly the purpose of Ace as the 'proto chosen one', it's hammered time and time again how Ace had everything going for him, the son of the King, had Roger's hopes an dreams placed into him, fire powers (pretty much a hero trope by itself), naturally gifted, etc..., and Luffy as the ...let's say, second fiddle choice of fate since Ace couldn't do it, however, ... it flips everything over to it's head at that, the more we understand the journey, the individuals and circuntances the more we're convinced that everything was meant to be this way, it was about Luffy and Luffy alone from the very beggining, even if Ace was still alive he wouldn't be that guy, eventually they would clash and Luffy would trump him to ascend even more,... a shame really because I'm certain it was a huge personal landmark that Lufffy was looking for, to best Ace fair and square...his brother couldn't do it like he wanted even after inviting Luffy to 'meet him at the pinnacle' in an earlier part of the story, however Luffy did, he reached it, world class opponents were there waiting for him and his way to greet them is a well placed attack referencing his late brother that draws first blood as saying: "I'm here at the pinnacle Ace, and you're here with me, lets do it!" Simply fantastic.
This was beautifully explained, I think so many people don't even realize these things. I'd also like to add that while Roger put all his hopes on Ace, Ace put his life and future on Luffy. I think it adds even more to Luffy's purpose. Instead of becoming rivals, they became united in trying to make Luffy's dream come true, in that Luffy was able to continue because Ace sacrificed himself for him (from an arm of the world govt that they/Luffy will end up toppling, no less).
Plz react to all the episodes directed by Megumi Ishitani, every single one of them were bangers, 10/10 just like 1015, shes one of the best directors imo.🔥🔥🔥🔥
You should have reacted to episode 1013 for me this was the episode that made me love yamato. I hate how people skipped the episode and immediately go to 1015 don't get me wrong 1015 is amazing but 1013 is really good that expands yamato character
So does the expletive censoring thing on youtube's end happen even if the audio is cut? Because it seems like you could've just muted that. I mean, I'm all for the swearing when it's appropriate, and it was, so I'm good. But I know you know how it works. I'm just curious.
On certain episodes. That phrase is key. Even though it’s a big improvement from prior arc adaptations, it’s still wildly inconsistent. Not to mention not every episode is paced well. Ishitani doesn’t direct everything
@@OracleTruth24 There is other episode that are great beside Ishitani ones. Mostly those episodes with lots of action and we will be getting a lots soon with all those fights coming.
Fun Fact: If it wasn't for the hack of Toei delaying their schedule, episode 1015 would've dropped on the same week as chapter 1044. Let that sink in...
Everybody is praising Ishitani (deservely so) but the voice actors are pouring their heart out, we can feel Yamato joys, hesitations and pain, that "gomen-ne" from Luffy really feels as painful as if we saw a real friend in distress
22:34 Mmm... nah~ Yamato already said Luffy and Roger both said the same thing. I think this is talking about "Joy Boy" many many years before Roger, which may explain why he laughed at Laugh Tale. This world is filled with mystery like a fog but everything is clear when Dawn comes.
I feel like 1015 worked so well because it was handled so well by Ishitani and Oda had put so much backstory into it that it is just perfect It's literally like giving the best ingredients to the best chef
It's far from relevant to the current manga, but in my estimation, the most important episode of the anime by a wide margin is and has always been Episode 37, "Luffy Rises! Result of the Broken Promise!" in which I believe Luffy's character and the nature of the entire series are most firmly established. Portions that were reanimated for the Episode of East Blue pale to the original in noteworthy respects.
Not gonna lie, One Piece has very rarely gotten any emotion out of me, I just think its silly and fun, but ep. 1015 had me tearing up! The art direction and voice acting go a long way towards expressing the passion of the characters, and I could feel it!~
I hope the IP is bought by another studio and we get a proper adaptation after OP ends. These are amazing, but a pile of trash with some small pieces of gold is still trash.
@@zigzag8392 It's the weekly releases. They should have gone seasonal at the time-skip. Better animation, better pacing, and an overall better product.
@@josecisneros5516 I'd rather just have everything be reanimated. The manga is the most popular in the world so I bet that another adaptation would make a lot of money. There are a lot of superfans that happily would rewatch with updated visuals and a bunch of new viewers that would be given a chance to start the story without having to catch up to 1000 episodes.
