As soon as big aero kits were added, it was ruined. Drivers too scared to tap another car and break something. Australia series the Supercars, they've stayed away from really complicated aero kits and as a result its great racing.

How great is it to hear the drivers talk about how excited they are to hop back in their old cars. They're so passionate of about it, I can't imagine many F1 drivers being that excited.

John Cleland is just a stellar interview every time. He’s a fan and a competitor, he gives you a sympathetic feeling of excitement that’s addicting.

I used to love watching this back in the late 90's even though i lived in brooklyn, new york at the time, i was totally into btcc. these were based on working class cars, front wheel drive four cylinder cars that average people could actually buy stock at the dealer and then modify to resemble the race cars.

All of these cars were affordable normal family saloon's. And they made these beautye's out of them! That was one reason why these were so great. You could resemble yourself as a BTCC -Racer with low price. In real life these were normal "boring" daily drivers, but as a racing cars, they were the best!

This was my favourite era of touring cars, i met John Cleland at Croft the Year after his second championship, first year of the Vectra.

How do they go about what the cars can have for power or drive train to make a race? I'd like to know more about that part. Earlier I watched a mustang vs mini race that was amazing, but how did that start. I want to know more history

I have played 2 TOCA games and gran turismo 2, what I've modified these touring cars when I was young, like driving Honda Accord and Nissan Primera.

Peoples alligance was to whichever car they preferred in TOCA 2. The penny still hasn't dropped that TOCA 2 did more to publicise this than TV or the actual tournament. Of course the real thing is fabulous but millions love it because of the game, without which it would be no more popular than Saturday afternoon wrestling.

Who dislikes a video of cars safely racing on a closed circuit ? Either your amish or a tree higher .... either way you should not be on the internet watching videos

There are just so many people there wearing flatcaps. I fond it almost as distracting as the horrible vintage grain effect edited over the video.
