I'm so glad Zuko had uncle Iroh in his life. Perhaps the best show I've ever seen.

One thing that i would love if you made is a Kung Fu Panda video. i know that this trilogy has been talked about to death, but i would definitely like to see you make a video on it. Other than that i really like your Avatar content as well because you go into really interesing topics (and its also my favorite show of all time XD)

Me? I'm a THE BEACH guy. Really a culmination of Zuko's whole inner turmoil, pushed to his breaking point. But you make a great case for Zuko Alone. There is a certain beauty to how Zuko does the right thing, accepts himself, and everyone hates him for it. It makes the viewer understand why Zuko is the way he is, while also building audience sympathy for him. Also it would've been so easy to have Iroh always have been wise, but the fact he was once a baddie too just shows you how far he's come and makes you love him more (same with zuko).

Excellent video. Season 3’s The Headband is my personal favorite. I’ve always been more of a dancer than a fighter. 🕺

By episode 3 of book 1 it was already talking about genocide, kid show but it never shied away from mature or complexed themes.

I know it’s not related to the video's topic, but I want to know what is the name of the first melody you put as the background music and its the composer

Having a "Children show" that also respects ones intellect is what i enjoyed so much about it. I never got behind shows that were just about being "awesome that & bad here" and "here i explain the most basic shit like you''ve never been to school". Instead we get the grey regions of morality. Of course the villagers immediately turn somewhat hostile once he reveals his identity. By what they know, he is the reason they loose their fathers & sons. Have less resources that are needed to nurish the frontlines that are being burnt down, and all that. And we learn that we always have the choice to change for the better. The world isnt just black & white. The World isnt just about oneself, it is about seeing different perspectives. After all at that point it isnt yet clear if zuko truely turns to the good side, so showing us his perspective helps us understand why he is the way he is. Theres never just one layer to a person after all. Wish more shows did that.

I had forgotten all about Uncle Iroh showing his former colours, that adds so much spice to the whole story, not just to the episode. Amazing video, great scene selection. And hey Soak (should I call you Soak? I was unsure!) I just watched a couple of your videos - loved it, loved every second of it. Our channels share a lot of characteristics - hit me up if you wanna make a youtube kindred-spirit friend :) perhaps we could collab one day!

Can you make a list of music that you used in this video?

I'd love to see more improvised ramblings from you like your tier lists and quick analysis on streams if it meant more video output at the cost of less editing. Honestly video essays are very oversaturated in RU-vid but your screenwriting persoective and kind charisma are enough to carry your vids. Hope to see more content regardless!

Damnit I'll go watch the episode before finishing this xD Edit: Ok, I decided to watch the video before watching the whole episode anyways. I'm curious on your views on the American culture toxic masculinity. It's really disheartening to see young man and boys fall for the narrative: "you need to have big genitals, big muscles, be tall, be white, be a millionare and be a casanova" in order for you to be viewed as a "real man". There's never pushing from society to have more empathy and accept yourself for what you are. It's always this distorted views on otherwise healthy values: instead of being healthy the society pushes you to be buffed, instead of building good relationships based on respect you're supposed to be this sex machine who uses a different woman every day, instead of having healthy discipline toward your goals you gotta enslave yourself in "the grind" for money to have all the glory of being affluent. Such vain and empty garbage ideas being pushed on young people and that's only one side of the story because woman have a whole different set of equally ridiculous ideas pushed down their throats. I guess this channel is more about anime so this whole rant probably doesn't apply. Anyways I just watched this meatcanyon video titled "angel of gainz" and got so disgusted and outraged so I typed this whole essay to you.
