Bro, I had no clue this was all happening. You're picking up all the macro strats that are so easy to miss when you're just watching casually. Thanks for this and keep up the good work!
The Apex storylines went so hard at this LAN. Domination by the 2 historically best rosters DZ and TSM, impressive performances by so many of the top NA teams and in the end Zero getting a leg up on Hal in the goat debate with his 3rd ALGS win, each one with a different roster. As always I still don’t think match point format is indicative of which team is actually the best at any given LAN, but man it makes for some entertaining drama! The fact of the matter is that both TSM and DZ were getting focused throughout most of the finals lobby. The difference in the end was that TSM lost this game by getting focused despite being in the best spot, and DZ won their game by rating in the worst spot in order to third party the final fight.
You hit the head on the nose man! I agree about MP but no one can deny how entertaining that final was. Now the setup for Champs can make it the greatest tournament of all.
I think if we're talking about goat, like greatest of all time, that would still be Hal. Yeah DZ have had more success in *ALGS* but Hal was one of the best players all the way back in 2019 and won the first ever Apex LAN. As a player he's been one of the best in the world consistently for basically four years now. With the 'all time' part of that, I think it'll be a long while before anyone can really challenge that.
bro i swear this is the most dominant TSM ive ever seen even more dominant than split 1 LAN, XSET really stop them from going back to back in the most dominant way, then Scuwry Q ing up Faze, i love Apex bro lol
Love this post-game analysis. Learn a lot watching with high quality casters, but learn more with detailed analysis. Love the callbacks / different viewpoints of teams planning their rotates, w/ vs w/o beacons. Great video
watching this happen live had me speechless, and that was even without the realization that 100t threw their Q for faze. Seeing the entire remaining lobby focus tsm exclusively was incredible
As much as I respect Apex comp I just don’t have the patience to watch it so this right here is golden! And the Q was both the greatest revenge and smack in the face to TSM ever 💀
I felt like the only one in chat who noticed scuwry 4th man for faze there. I was absolutely losing my mind at that Q. Scuwry straight switchin orgs at the end just so he could play another match lol
Xset may not have won but they’re MVP in my eyes. They took away TSM’s chance of being back to back champs. Call me a dick if you wanna, I don’t care, but i just wanted someone else to win and knock them of their high horse.
I’d love to see this too, I found DZ’s strategy very interesting. They left ultimate height to go play low-ground early going into that final ring, and that seemingly crazy strategy meant they couldn’t get targeted like TSM were in this game.
Stats wise from this LAN TSM has the edge, but DZ somehow finds a way to win when it comes to Match Point. They are both head and shoulders above the competition right now though
Honestly no, maybe if they full killed 100thieves fast, then went to push optic. But once Scuwry dropped to low ground, only Hal could kill Scuwry cause he has horizons lift to get back to height. But they needed horizons lift to push optic.
Ya all tsm uses are pick favorites skins so it’s random but it doesn’t do it when you get into a match. It does it after a match once you’ve gone into the lobby. So some of the teams just inspected them to see what skins they used in order to decide there plays.
Oh come on this is reaching even for a tsm fan. Everything that happend made logical fucking sense. Teams holding the high ground are going to get focused. Doesn't matter if it was tsm or not. It just so happend that tsm was on the receiving end of the tactics. If you're on match point, common sense says the lobby NEEDS to stop you from winning. Its how you play the game guys. 🙄
@@TommyTombstoneXset and 100T knew TSM was above so they griefed them. But in the next game, there were too many teams in endzone that it was hard for anyone to track where each teams were.
These type of videos are needed in the community as a lot of casuals who enjoy watching but can’t always see it live or don’t have a lot of time to stay up on the details still want a fun recap of what happened 🤝 subbed
Actually goes to show how good of a LAN this was for TSM. One of the most consistent performances ever. If they had won, it would have been the greatest LAN performance by far. But the more you watch this, the more you realize they had no chance. I think everyone wanted to stop TSM from making history.
I don't think it was that everyone wanted to stop TSM (XSET actually calls them DZ twice on height, i didn't put the second in the video). Same would've happened to any team in that position but it just happened to be TSM. But it was them cause like you said one of their best performances, which is crazy considering how good they've been.
Considering how many times TSM has won LAN, the lobby, and likely a good chunk of the audience (admittedly me included lol), had an inkling of wanting to see a different team take the dub for once -- given that TSM seemingly was back at their prime, better than ever arguably, compared to their (big) struggles of the first two game days on NA Split 2, capable of guaranteeing a win every game day since and high placements on other rounds/scrims. And it did happen -- unfortunately at the expense of another former LAN winner, DarkZero, winning yet again, sneaking their way to victory, which overall to my viewpoint felt bittersweet when watching Split 2 LAN, as the way other games ended in the Winners and Elim bracket felt much more exciting by comparison. Now to be actually fair, regardless of what one thinks of DZ, I don't deny they were fully capable of winning this Split 2 LAN as well, with the combo of Xynew and Gent having fragging power to almost roll the lobby as much as TSM did in Game 1 of Match point. But the way things played out this Match Point for Split 2, none of the non-NA teams could seemingly maintain the momentum they had on the previous days (even compared to Split 1 LAN), with FNatic, Moist Esports and Alliance having bad placements (even with Effect's now-proven LAN stats can't overcome difficulty in surviving to endgame), Ganbare Otousan was seemingly trolling with the Landslide Contest with BLVKHND), etc., whereas NA teams are at their best here, though not having as much attention to account for DZ compared to TSM. I know Champs is in a few months but unless something radical happens with the legend and weapon meta just before September, I'd fully expect TSM to continue performing at their prime and account for possibility of being griefed by numerous teams. I can only imagine how things would've played out if Aurora continuously won DZ's contest at Harvester.
@@JumbaGW that’s fair, I guess what I meant more was that people were for sure gunning against TSM more than anyone. I mean they are the big dogs, they are the face of the game. Even if they don’t realize it, TSM is always gonna be public enemy number one. Not necessarily that single game.
It’s so cool how this game alone shows how competitive Apex is more than just camping til last ring and being last alive. The technical nuances and game sense these players have makes it so fun to watch.
When your apex dynasty is almost untouchable that you have half of the lobby wanting to throw their game just so you won’t win😭 even though it was obvious as fuck that it was either gonna be DZ or TSM that would win that LAN
Thats some 2nd grader analysis. They keep track whose on match point and who is still alive. As a team you want to extend the series and have a chance to win
Game 6: Everyone works together to eliminate TSM. Game 7: Everyone fights each other & completely ignores DZ. Lmao.... Keep up the great work bro. The rise & fall of Lou 🤔
Woah appreciate the tip! That's a potential idea! Going to see what happens with LCQ first and have a couple videos planned that focus on the LAN still, but I'll add it to the list!
Amazing play by XSET but my favorite play is by far is OG Dropped saying "its fine its fine I'm going to grief them (TSM)" while getting Krabered. Peak Apex moment 🤣
I saw Northeption doing the same thing as XSET in the APAC North Regional Finals where they looked at the skins in the lobby and were able to get FNATIC to win match point by griefing other teams in the final circle. It's interesting to see another layer of complexity added to match point finals, especially for the teams not on match point. Great vid as always. Would love to see more analytical content in the future. Also if you don't mind me asking, what video is coming next, as I'm dying to see that triple mnk video I saw on the poll a couple months back.
Yea that got put on hold due to vacation and LAN 😅 next vid is gonna have to do with LAN though. I have 3 I'm trying to decide on right now to start actually lol. But good news is I'm in full force so expect the vids to come fast. Not sure if u have twitter but dm me if you do and I'll give you a sneak peak of what's potentially next
Scwry did mention in the game chat that he threw the Q so Faze can grief the team on top and at the time, he said he knew it was TSM. My jaw was on the floor watching this
Solid breakdown. Really sick to see all these POVs put together with your explanation. One Q - did scuwry throw the Q to try and lift TSM from underneath, not to give a lift to Faze? Feel like they comm'd that and the fact he throws it high and up, rather than on the ground? No beef, just love chatting Apex lol
I think it was both. I honestly realized that after I posted the video. Scuwry did say himself that he threw the Q for Faze and while writing my script/editing I only addressed it as that. When I noticed it after I wish I could've done one more edit to explain it was both.
Its crazy cus i think Scuwry’s q was supposed to try to q TSM off height from under to grief them, but Faze saw the opportunity to take it and clean up. But shoutout to XSET boys for realizing and knowing their duty for Game 6, was to keep it going and make sure TSM didn’t get the dub 🫡
Yo keep this form of content up! The added music and comments on what the team being spectated is doing is really well done! Knowledgeable and simple. I enjoyed watching this and I already saw it live. 😊
Great analysis brother - I never had any idea that scuwry had to sacrifice himself and throw the Q for Faze to help them kill TSM - crazy stuf - subbed!
Ik you forgot to say this but post game snipe put in chat thank you to whoever q’ed us up you won us the game which makes the moment even more better imo
TSM shouldve played the game thinking everyone was gonna try and int them. Its a rough assumption to make but not far from reality. Even then, a game-winning play wouldve required surgical precision and insane luck.
This is all hindsight and also on a third person POV, but if only TSM didn't stack together to get triple seer qed (especially reps who's on seer himself and supposed to have knowledge where all the teams are), they could've forced XSET to fight FAZE instead with Reps seer qing XSET instead. Reps getting hit by that seer q really takes away every ounce of chance for them to win that. Breaks of the game happens in all kinds of sport, and this one will go down in the history of Apex Legends Esports for sure.
2 seconds before xset pushed tsm, evan was dropping batteries for reps and hal. He was watching the back side and he moved ahead to give them bats and lost control of the back. If he stayed back watching, tsm would have taken em down imo.
The greatest game I ever remember watching live was Twitch rivals 2020 final game NRG Sweet hit the triple collateral Kraber shot and it had an absolutely chaotic Kings Canyon, Capacitor/Rig ending. Would love to see a vid on it.
"TSM has the advantage in this close range fight b/c they have two controller players vs. 100T with 3 M&K". Should never happen in a competitive game, let alone a tournament for money.
bro how u gonna have highground, 2 red shields, kitted with pretty decent guns and nades, and u still lose that shit 12:35, bruh got the highground but caught with he's pants down 🤣, and there were no cross teaming or working together, XSET wiped that shit solo ez... tsm, more like one trick pony
Unless the comms were different I think Scurry was trying to get a pic on TSM using his gravity list cuz he's threw it against the wall. But it bounced off and didn't work and of course FaZe saw one guy and killed him. Thanks for the gravity lift
Most of the TSM d riders pushing the "ThEYy aRee TeaaMing juSst to tAkee tsm OuttT" narrative are low balled iq enjoyers. You seriously think teams would allow the series to end at that moment when you are trying to get the W for yourself?
i didn’t see tsm’s pov but reps should’ve been using seer passive to check surroundings? knowing one team has horizon you have to worry about your biggest threat
I still believe he 100% wasn’t throwing the q for faze but trying to q them up under the ledge it’s easy to say in the post game lobby “yeah I threw the q for faze”.
The music from 251 to 7:30 felt so out of place and unnatural. Having an orchestral soundtrack playing for the first few small plays felt unnatural and weird. Great video and analysis nonetheless
This was a great game but I still believe the greatest game In apex history was year one champs, when TSM was on the side of the building and got a respawn off on snipedown in final zone as it was closing snipe drops down from the drop ship and downs two players with the bloodhound heirloom and reps wins the game with literally 1hp
I find it interesting how people see it as griefing TSM and not them trying to extend the tournament to give themselves a chance to win. If it was any other team on height, they would’ve done the exact same thing. People are acting like they only did it because it was TSM and they didn’t want them to win.
