Here's a noob question. Where did the names like "windrunner" come from, even tho to me it seems that they all have those old names of dota 1 like "black arachnia"? I mean, how is tobi calling them by their dota 2 names?
Naa when i watch a game like this it remembers me to the good ol LANparties with different versions of dota and clicking on skills to cast them(ofc my version with AM blink hotkey b :D). also watching dota 1 i'm always like "woooow he owned him pretty hard. oh no wait that was a creep where the fuck are the heroes?" :D
Because each hero has a name and a title. In this game for example, Xboct's hero is called "Razzil Darkbrew", and in the health bar his title says "Level ## Alchemist". In Dota 2, Valve uses the title for heroes with names that are copyrighted by Blizzard.
In dota 2 you can easily turn off dota and restart you comp, reconnect back to your game. But in dota 1, once you are dc, you are out. In case someone is dc'd, they will start the game from the last save. There are also saves in between dota 2 competitive matches, but it is automatic and doesnt pop up anything
come to think of it, you are right, in fact, if I recall right, ppl always build Vanguard, not just for alchemist (I also do that too) but still, the BKB thingy is still unacceptable
nah.. that was Maelk.. can't remember what was the reason he chose that name for the game lol.. Playmate on WR, Demon on Rexxar, Maelk on CM, Misery on Tinker and finally Mania on ES
yeah but on those days the Idea was Strength heros should absorb the damage without avoiding it. If alche on BKB other low HP hero has to take all the spells. that is y it was not built on those days. And there was no buyback cooldown as well. So alche should ready to buy back about 5 times in a game. U know. strategy changes.
