These past couple years I’ve gotten more into high end figures and I’ve snagged quite a few fix figurations and metal builds. It hurts my wallet but man when you get them in hand you can feel the quality.
You really can and when you see how much an SH Figuarts or a Figma will set you back these days, the price isn't really all that crazy. At least that's what I try to tell myself!
SEED really has some of the best designs. I could never even make my way through the anime personally, so I had to rely on SG Gundam Cross rays to fill me in on the plot
pretty much all the production troubles and seed being a flop people said about the seed series are bogus. If you believe what westerners said online about seed, you truly are gullible.
@@MechaGaikotsu you are aware like 95% of what westerners said about seed and destiny behind the scene troubles and it flopping are bogus. There as believable as mike zeroh. Destiny literally won the anime of the year award.
@@yeah8709 westerners get fooled so easily by conspiracy theories. 00 didnt beat seed nor destiny in ratings or sales. Ibo was largely a dud to what came before. comparison to wha
Hell yeah! I love this channel. Because of you I finally went through with it and bought a kit. Now it’s been a year and I have built 10 of them. Just got my first master grade. It’s the OG RX-78, I’ve built the core fighter and torso on it so far
The metal build destiny is one of my favorite redesign of the destiny, wish I could get it or atleast Bandai makes a MG 2.0 of destiny with this design or atleast something resembling this.
Bought this fella in the full package version as a present to myself for finishing 2nd year of university, and I literally don’t have the space for it with its wings of lights, still a great figure
Shoutout from the philippines, i have one biggest comments for you one of my favorite gunpla was the hg gundam helios that is my favorite high grade gunpla of all time!!!!! 🙂
They already do actually but they are usually quite a bit more expensive. Look for Special/Metallic Coating and Titanium Finish versions. They tend to be Gundam Base exclusives though... So be ready to have a big wallet
That’s what painting is for, seriously if you can just find some mr colour or tamiya lacquer metallic paints, you can get a very nice metallic finish on your gunpla
I have a painful history with this figure. I got the Soul Red ver of it on my birthday as a gift from my ex-gf :v and after she left me because of my mistakes, I still look at the figure with a frown in my eyes. (But still, MB Destiny Soul Red ver. is absolutely gorgeous)
If someone were wanting a nice figure of the Destiny and doesn’t mind something closer to the 1/144 size, the Metal Robot Spirits is actually pretty decent imo. Was the first Gundam figure I ever splurged for. It genuinely doesn’t compare to this Metal Build, but it’s obviously much more affordable lol and still looks great imo. Includes a specific display stand as well. I have yet to pick up a Metal Build, but I really really want one of the Dynames Repair III’s that recently came out.
You know this is going to be a good one when he puts epic music on the intro of the Video! This may be the most impressive Metal Build I’ve ever seen....
I only have Dragon momoko but I repainted it and it can actually compete in aesthetics alone. Although I can afford to get one of this but I want something to customize with. Good review!
As you build your Metal Build collection, it would informative for you to update on the joint strengths over time whenever you do comparisons. Many people I know are very hesitant to dive into this hole because they are unused to heavy figures with friction joints, compared to the use of ratcheted joints in say, Transformers.
I have a complicated relationship with the destiny series main mobile suit designs. Sometimes they are too gaudy and other times they are really good looking. This time it's top the charts of the most badass looking iteration of this mobile suit.
Considering all the love Seed still gets from Bandai I’m surprised we haven’t seen an MG 2.0 or Ver. RM for the Destiny, hopefully it isn’t just gonna a new HG for us
Hey there Mecha. If you like the stylized look then you should take a look at the supernova wing kits. They do take a bit of extra work as they are third party. They look oh so awesome. They were the perfect match to go with the wing zero ver ka. The altron and sandrock take more work than deathscythe or heavyarms.
2:36 You're right. The MG is quite dated and long overdue for an updated release. Perhaps Bandai has plans to do do in the future along with the other main SEED Destiny Gundams.
@xxnike629xx And in other news, you're wasting some time and effort again to talk about Sentinel stuffs in another site, despite your hatred on all UC stuffs 😂
@xxnike629xx And then you posted a P-Bandai _ill-wish_ for Sentinel stuffs 😂 Seems like after everything, you still don't get that the bads of _ill-wishing_ outweighs the goods 😂😂
@xxnike629xx It reminded me of your P-Bandai _ill-wishes_ of my HGUC kit prior to its release... And when it's revealed to be a regular release, you talked some few words such as that you're surprised that your _ill-wish_ is wrong, posted more P-Bandai _ill-wishes_ (still didn't learned a thing or 2 😂 ), and then you went silent afterwards... So, when you'll gonna break your silence about my HGUC kit being *NOT* a P-Bandai? Hope you'll... Do it! Do it! Do it! huehuehue
@xxnike629xx And a few hours ago, on that same site, you waste some time and effort again to talk about my movie's stuffs, despite your hate on anything UC related 😂 Plus, you promoted again the Pokémon rule in buying things, despite your obsession onto it is the main reason of your unending financial crises 😂😂
Metal Build line is awesome. I've got all the Crossbones, Strike & Strike Rouge + Aile, Sword & Launcher packs, and 3 different versions of the Exia 😅. And got the Hi-Nu Metal Build pre-ordered. My only complaint is that for the price I wish they had opening cockpits. I really like being able to open cockpits and see the pilot.
If you ever come across it, could you review the Vientaine Toys 1/72 Devil Destiny Gundam? I've wanted one for the longest time and would like an in-depth review on it but haven't seen a lot of videos reviewing it on RU-vid. It would be awesome to see comparisons to other kits and just a good review about it. Plus it's one of the coolest Gundam Figures I've ever seen!
as a fellow metal build collector and saw this, welcome to the dark side bro! once you buy metal builds it's hard to get out because of the qualotu and details
@@bh47 sorry if its confusing. As this video states it is indeed a figure, I sometimes just refer to them all as kits. Even if you don't build the whole thing you still need at assemble the backpacks, weapons, etc..
Glad someone at Bandai was able to get it together and make a good Destiny. That poor MS has gotten completely shite representation by the Gunpla team.
with all honesty i wish i had the financial capacity to purchase this along with the metal build strike freedom and infinite justice plus the metal build astraea that you featured a few months back
That is awesome. Question I want to build MG Model like Tallgeese 3, Tallgeese Fluegel, and Wing Zero from Endless Waltz. What tools do I need as a beginner.
@mechagaikotsu I'm kinda curious about why you seem to be wearing gloves when handling your item you're reviewing. Is there any specific reason for that?
Hey Mecha, is there a way that you can also build and review the Dragon momoko destiny gundam 'the blue one". Yeah I know it is a BL kit but I think it is hardly based on the metal build of destiny. Jus hoping hahaha Happy building as always.
Would have been really cool if they made a red version (not the soul red) instead of the common gundam colors. I know there is the heine but a red would have been cool too and would probably match with that red wings.
This guy and his HG version really kick ass in every way suck that the gundam get destroy on the end of the journey if only it manage to win fighting the freedom
