Eric is actually right with what the bone thing is, I work at a bat company and it helps build strength in the grain. But most companies use steel to press the grains now.

For people who don't know, it was Albert Belle's bat in 1994 with the Cleveland Indians. Jason Grimsley switched the bat with one of Paul Sorrento's. The commissioners figured out what happened when they saw Sorrento's name on the bat instead of Belle and pieces of ceiling on the ground All die hard Indian fans know the story.

As someone who grew up in Cleveland during the real time period, this is a very well known story. No time change could fool me lol. If they really wanted to fictionalize it they should have made Ronnie a nice guy lol.
