I immediately thought of that video, that set the bar and this one fell short. There is another one where the plane turns and goes in the goal too which is also more impressive than this.

Back in the 80s when they had the huge paper all star ballots we made paper airplanes out of them. Lots of people all over the stadium started throwing them. They had to make an announcement to quit throwing paper airplanes on the field
No, I saw it with my own eyes. The guy who invented the "Aerobi" threw them out of the park from center field. Turning in a circle he was throwing them up and out of veterans stadium. It was a sight to behold. That aerobi goes FAR (I friggin lost one throwing into a wide field down below -- thrown down a high long hill leading down to wide expanse). I would imagine it went all the way across and into the trees on the far side. Too hot , I wasn't waking all the down that hill and across that huge field only to possibly find it in the woods. (I probably wouldn't have found it, anyway..) So, I bought another one. That "Veteran's Stadium" field throw of those 12 or 13 inch "Aerobis" was the most memorable Up and out of the stadium from center field, repeatedly. That was amazing (and beautiful -- it being orange-ish red and all). This is just one tiny white paper airplane falling . Up and out though.. 😂 THIS is "special" too, though. Cool..
I was just thinking, I think this is the most "memorable" you've seen. Because, those throws of the "Aerobi" by the inventor throwing them out of the stadium from center field, that was before cell phones (and even personal computers). It was during the 7th inning stretch a baseball game on television. I MLB owns the rights (and probably never even thought about releasing it). There would have to be someone using a video tape recorder in the stands (and they might be stopped at the entrance). So, no video of those Aerobis available possibly (I don't know, I haven't looked). That's probably your most "memorable" though, you're right. Oh, memories (they're great sometimes lol). But , yeah, I don't think that "Aerobi" one is available. 1974 or 81 I think (< somewhere in there). The son ought to do it again (now that cell phones are available). Hmm.. 😂

Reminds me of a Science teacher that I had in high school, back in the late 1970s. He had an obsession with aerodynamics. Every day, during the second half of the class... while us students were working on our assignments... the teacher would be sitting at his desk behind us, making various styles of paper airplanes. And he would toss them at us. He was a fun teacher.

I used to fly paper airplanes. In fact my fifth grade class was so good that the teacher wisely decided to have a major class project on "aerodynamics and paper airplanes"...We explained the physics and Almost whole class flew all kinds of paper airplanes Including helicopters. Best response to kids flying paper airplanes when the teacher turned her back. 😁 Thank You Ms Johnson!
