The Kaweah River is rugged and mesmerizing. I am in awe of the Kaweah Bridge across the east fork. I think it's too rocky to kayak there.

I used to do the Trinity outside of Willow Creek. One time we put in the morning after a torrential storm the night before and it was HIGH! as dumb as you can get, we had a hodge podge of floats from tubes to worn out canoes. I had an old two- man army raft with a million patches that was PERFECT for 1 guy. It actually had a pointed (kind of) bow. I cut out the front seat and sat in the back. I cut off the ends of these beefy oars and it worked like I was a water bug. NEVER had so much fun! This spot's gorgeous! Great vid!

I've white water kayaked a bit, and rafted a good amount and this is straight up terrifying... also that log he got stuck on at the start caught my eye immidiately as being in a dangerous spot and sure enough he got hung on it haha

That vertical log shows how dangerous snags can be. Good not in a more powerful flow. Looks like you put in where Panther Creek comes in. Nice to kayak in crystal clear mountain water where nobody lives above, unlike many eastern rivers where the rapids churn up cow-poo foam. A lot of water for August, so maybe snow above was still melting, maybe even a few small glaciers. Cool narrow slots. Looks hairy, but I didn't notice any keeper holes, more like an almost continuous chute with most water going downstream. The last sections are really churning.

I watch rolloercoaster POV's and I watch Kayaking videos. Guess which scares me more.

They make it look sooooo easy, and yet I'd probably die 10+ times doing a run of this. Water's a b*tch man... Sick!

Take Saran Wrap for food. Take your shoe off wrap your heel anchor and up your leg how ever far your sock is. Tape it at the top and tear it off once you get where your going. Keeps the burrs off your socks. Big help. Old Kentucky trick I learnt out in the Appalachian mountains.
