my band played this last year for our district marching competitions and we got first at every single one!!! i loved play this song so much and i’m extremely proud of my band!! i play trumpet, and this was such a fun piece to play!

We play this at football games as our stand tunes (HS marching band) and the entire mellophone and Trombone sections just GO OFF

I played this song in marching band on bass one year and my director has kept it as a stand tune. This piece is fun on all percussion parts especially snare with the fast 16th note runs throughout.

Holy cow this brings back awesome memories from sophomore year when we played this and this years marching season will be my last one and I miss it so much! A lot has changed since then we got new directors, Corona is happening, I'm a senior now, it's crazy to think of and I'm super happy we did this show because it was best so far! This year we're doing "Music of the Boys" with Drag Me Down, I Want It That Way, and What A Man Gotta Do. I'm hyped!

We played this for marching band 2018 summer. We compete in parades. We marched at the actual tempo, which was like 155 or something. I don’t see many parade marching bands much on RU-vid, it’s always field shows.

Man, did I really forget to leave a reminiscent comment two days after the end of the season? I guess so. So here it is: I haven’t talked much about band camp or the pre-season percussion practice. Why not share that story now? That practice was the first time I met anyone else in the pit. I knew some of the people in drum line though!! Not gonna lie, I was terrified. High schoolers??? Who don’t even know who I am??? Who are probably much better than me at this which is kind of intimidating????? It really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, I really enjoyed it!!! For some reason, I had to show up late, making things more awkward for me. People kept leaving the room for whatever reason (I think they were skipping for a bit lmao) and the rest of the pit kept trying to get them or something. That gave me time to practice without worrying about anyone judging me!! I understood the music for the most part. Eventually, one of the drum line members came in along with everyone else and said I was doing really well which meant a lot to me because I was super nervous and I ended up playing a little more confidently for the rest of the practice (if you see this thank you for giving me confidence). That’s all I really remember Soooo band camp. Missed the first day because I was on vacation, 2nd day director told my section that we can show up late if we want to since the first few hours are just marching (and we don’t do that). We did that for the last three days and it all went well!!! We also teamed up with the color guard to do a scavenger hunt and won bragging rights which I might try to keep haha. That’s it have a good season guys!!
